19-Break the Power of Revenge

Scripture: “‘For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope.'” -Jeremiah 29:11

baghdad-sunset.jpgPrayer: Lord, You are the God of love and mercy. Your compassion is over all Your works. Your thoughts are perfect, and Your acts are righteous always. You are faithful and true. You do all things well, and You have never failed on any of Your promises.

Today, I bring before You those who perpetuate violence in Baghdad. I ask that You would condemn the revenge they have embraced, and flush it from their hearts. Lord, I reject the dominion of revenge over that city, because that city belongs to You.

Let Your judgments fall upon the spirit of revenge that has ruled in that place. May this be a new day for Baghdad — a day of forgiveness, cooperation, and peace. Shut the mouth of the accuser, and give the people a new found grace to release the past and move forward in hope. In Jesus name, amen.

When it is not humanly possible, You are there. Thank You, Jesus – thank You for what You are doing and have done for the people of Baghdad, of Iraq, of Afghanistan. Oh most Holy Father, these people that want to do evil don’t even know why they are seeking revenge. Their fellow countrymen just want to live in peace. Bring into their minds doubt and questioning of why they are bent on revenge. Let them ask themselves “why am I doing this?”. Make their hearts grieved and humble them to want to lay down their arms and live in peace. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.

    Jean Says:

Gracious and Merciful Heavenly Father, as today’s prayer prompt signals it is a terrible and destructive thing to give way to an attitude of anger and revenge. I pray that having come through the purging of war the citizens of Baghdad and Iraq will recognize that to follow the ways of revenge is undeniably self-destructive and self-harming. May they find the wisdom and strength to abandon thoughts and desires for revenge and, best of all, may they learn to trust You and to put all their griefs and cares into Your kind and loving Hands. According to Your Word, “‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’ Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:5-8). “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). Please honor Your Word among the citizens of Iraq today, dear Lord, and may many find the wisdom to acknowledge Your sovereignty and trust their needs into Your hands today and in the future. In the Precious and Holy Name of Jesus Who laid down His life so that we might live in Your Presence. Amen.

Father, We speak Your will over Baghdad and all places in Iraq. We say that attitudes are aligning with Your way of thinking. Hearts are open to love and forgiveness. All are forgiving in order to be forgiven. They are understanding that what they do to others is returned to them in multiplied form, be it good or bad. Let love abound. Let forgiveness abound. You have said to pray for those who are unkind or wicked to us and that vengeance is Yours. We release all anger, frustration and hatred to You and we embrace love, mercy, forgiveness and the ability to look upon others as brothers rather than enemies. Let Your will be done in Iraq as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I ask that the people will come to you and seek help and understaning in how to bring forth peace and freedom. I ASK LORD, that they will seek after you and know you, and to understand YOUR PLANS for a future and of hope. Sometimes, thought we want to be more like Jesus, we bow to the dictates of our flesh, one of which is revenge. Help us. Father, to lay aside every weight and the sin that does so easily beset us. Help us to overcome our flesh by Your Spirit that dwells within us. Cause us and the people of Iraq to choose to serve You, the God of peace and reconciliation. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord God; I first come before You with a humble heart of thanksgiving and praise for how You have worked on the behalf of our troops.
Lord God, I thank You for protecting Israel!
Lord God, I thank You how You are opening the eyes of people who confess to other Gods; I thank You Lord, that they are finally seeing the light! The way which leads to the “Cross of Jesus Christ”.
I thank You Lord, that nothing will be able to hinder the knowledge that “YOUR MESSAGE WILL GO FORTH”. THAT THE WHOLE WORLD WILL BE ENLIGHTED!
But, Father, I thank You that men and women in every Nation choose to believe in JESUS on their own accord!
We realize that the enemy of our souls are not pleased with those souls being clutched out of their hands, and that they try and revenge them.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for protecting Haifa
from obliteration. My sister told me the pirates
who stole the tanker, nineteen of the 20 became ill
of radiation poisoning and if the tanker had not
been stopped, it would have gone to Haifa and been
exploded there, thousands would have died and the land not been able to sustain life for years. Praise
you Father, all honor and glory to you that you continue to hear our prayers and they are answered
almost before they leave our mouths. Gracious and so
loving you are not only to protect our Men and Women, but also to guard and protect the innocent
children, men and women of Haifa as well as the
the Iraq police and Iraq Military. My heart is full of thankfulness and love for you Father.
Your word says LOOK AND SEE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD. Yes Heavenly Father, we know you are with us.

Today, Father, we come again to your throne with
pleas of mercy, help and protection for all of the
people of Adhamiya, including our precious Men and
Women there who are doing your will to fight for
freedom and peace for the people there and Iraq.
We plead the 91st Psalm over them, send forth your
Angels again to do warfare and form a hedge around
them keeping all evil and danger away from them,
turn the evil attacks back to where they came from
and watch over and protect your precious Men and
Women. Send forth again your Holy Spirit to guide,
strengthen and give them discernment in their decisions, your word says NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST
US WILL PROSPER and we claim that today and always

Bless Iraq Father, send Angels to lift Iraq out of
the hands of evil men, wash the earth there clean
and we pray you will do miracles that will bring
the people of that land to Jesus and You. Praise
you and thank you. We ask you to continue to watch
over our loved ones, there and at home. Keep the
hearts of our Men and Women strong with courage and strength, KNOWING you are with them, we ask
sll of this in Jesus precious name. Amen.

Lord God remove the veil that the enemy has put in the name of revenge wanting to make right the wrong that they haver suffered.
Father rememve the voicew of accusations but replacew it by the voice of your Spirit and let the listeners listen to the voice of reconciliation. Father let the Nation become one not divided and let them realize every citizen that they are “THEIR BROTHER’S KEEPER”
Father I pray for Peace and a supernatural command and a warrant be set forth to “Arrest” this spiirt of Violence and revenge that has been sneaking into the lives of the people of the middle east will be totaslly set free
