18-Unity Among the Troops and Police

“There was a period of time when coalition forces had to urge Iraqi forces to fight. That is not the case anymore. They are not only capable of fighting, but they want to fight for a sovereign Iraq.”
-Brig. Gen. Dana Pittard, commander, Iraqi Assistance Group, to reporters in Baghdad March 11.

Scripture: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!” -Psalm 133:1

Prayer: Lord, You count the stars and You know them all by name. You measure the waves of the sea and place boundaries on its shores. You know the hairs on my head and the thoughts and intentions of my heart. Nothing escapes Your notice, there is no one else like You.

soldier_police.jpgLord, I thank you for the brave men and women of the Iraqi police force and army. I ask for Your blessing of unity to be on them as they work along side the allied troops.

I focus on the military operations today in Baghdad, and I ask for your grace and favor to be with teams as they go out: help them to move together in unity, and to function as one cohesive unit. Knit them together, Lord, into a solid force for peace, and give them victory after victory today as they patrol the city. In Jesus name, amen.

LORD, I bring before you “Your WORD” that tells us of unity as one in your body and church. May your blessing be upon the Word. PSALM 133:1,3 How wonderful it is, how pleasant, when brothers live together in harmony.(3) Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life forevermore.
HOSEA 1:11 Then the people of Judah & Israel will unite under one leader, and they will return from exile together. Father allow this to happen with the Shiites & Sunnis. 1 CORINTHIANS 1:10 Paul here appeals to the people of Corinth to stop arguing among themselves. Let there be real harmony. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose..

Heavenly Father, let these words come alive today throughout Iraq, Israel, Afghanstand, Pakistan, and Jerusalem. BRING FORTH UNITY amongest the people. Father in the name of Jesus I lose your harmony and love amongest our troops and the Iraqi Police. In the NAME OF JESUS I ask for a release of GRACE AND FAVOR along with unity. May there be a knitting of the forces for peace and give them VICTORY AFTER VICTORY. Lord God Almighty, may you give the Christians in Iraq supernatural strenght and boldness to speak forth your WORD and to show your love. I plead your banner of love and protection over them heavenly Father. May your WILL be done today on earth as its written in Heaven IN THE NAME OF JESUS. Amen

Father God: We thank you for answering the Prayer Patrol prayers and that violence has been reduced a great deal lately. I pray that this will continue to be more and more the case in Iraq. It is not clear whether Iran has given up trying to destablalize Iraq and is no longer funneling weapons into Iraq. I pray that they will find reasons to pursue this course if they are not already doing so. May all the surrounding nations realize that it is to their advantage to have Iraq at peace and rebuilt and the people who have fled Iraq because of the violence back in their country. May the religious and political leaders be moved to work for peace. Bless all efforts in that direction, no matter how half hearted they are to start, I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Precious Adonai, Creator of heaven and earth and all that is therein. You are so full of mercy and lovingkindness. How patient You are as You wait for Your children to bring about Your desires upon the earth. Thank You for faithfully watching over our troops and their Iraqi counterparts. I agree with all the prayers which have been given on their behalves. In the midst of forging ahead to victory, may many come to know You and become a part of Your glorious Kingdom. I continue to claim the 91st Ps. over Andy W., Larry N., Matt the Marine, Chris and Sara, Brian C. and all their units as they move about doing their jobs to bring peace to Baghdad and Iraq. May the angels show them snipers, tripwires, booby traps and IEDs, etc. to warn them ahead of time of the danger in their paths.
To You be all glory and praise for the victory. In Your powerful and glorious name, Amen

    Heavenly Father,

You are wonderful Almighty God. There is none other like You who directs the steps of men and women on this earth. Today I ask that You would let the troops and the police in Iraq step in unison so together they form a most powerful force, one that will suffer no defeats and that will only know success in their operations. Let them gather together in prayer for where two or three are gathered You are there. Let the believers be salt and light to flavor the steps in unison with Your mercy and grace and compassion. Let not a step be made which is out of line with Your will. You are God of order and peace prevails when Your order is in place. I pray Your order to be in place today in Baghdad and Iraq so each person there can marvel and say, “How peaceful today is. This peace has come only from God.” May You be glorified by each person who is touched by Your peace. Through Jesus, Amen

FAther, You are soooooooo awesome! Thank you that you are hearing our cries and answering them. You want unity and peace among men even more than we do. You paid the ultimate price by sending Yeshua to die to make this possible and thru His resurrection you sealed it as done! Now that you have made it possible, we call upon the finished work to be made manifest TODAY in Iraq among the allied forces and the Iraqi forces. Give them wisdom and discernment and trust to stand together against the prince of persia who wants total power and will destroy anyone to get it. Thank you Lord that you are more powerful and that victory is ours because the battle is yours. We lift up your glorious name today and praise and thanksgiving that today is a special day of pushing back the kingdom of darkness and showing forth the glorious light of Yeshua’s kingdom. amen

    MThompson Says:

    Dear Lord,
Thank you so much for the unity and comaradery among the US forces and the Iraqi police. Only you could turn the tide like that and knit them together in unity and harmony.
Thank you for lifting the shroud of deception that our soldiers were there to do harm. Rather open their eyes to see that what we bring is justice, peace and a new way of living that will promote safety for them and their families and help the region to rebuild and regain their independence.
Unfortunately, the deception goes back further than we can count. But please remind the Iraqi people that this is a new and better day and a new and better way.
Please come against any potential discord between the two; Iraqi’s and our soldiers, so that the Iraqi’s will protect not only themselves and their countryman, but will include to protect their ardent benefactor’s: Our Soldiers. Help that loyalty to deepen on both sides to the extent that they would feel like brothers.
Thank you and I bring this request before you Father under the authority of Jesus Christ. Amen.
