18-Unity Among the Troops and Police

“There was a period of time when coalition forces had to urge Iraqi forces to fight. That is not the case anymore. They are not only capable of fighting, but they want to fight for a sovereign Iraq.”
-Brig. Gen. Dana Pittard, commander, Iraqi Assistance Group, to reporters in Baghdad March 11.

Scripture: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!” -Psalm 133:1

Prayer: Lord, You count the stars and You know them all by name. You measure the waves of the sea and place boundaries on its shores. You know the hairs on my head and the thoughts and intentions of my heart. Nothing escapes Your notice, there is no one else like You.

soldier_police.jpgLord, I thank you for the brave men and women of the Iraqi police force and army. I ask for Your blessing of unity to be on them as they work along side the allied troops.

I focus on the military operations today in Baghdad, and I ask for your grace and favor to be with teams as they go out: help them to move together in unity, and to function as one cohesive unit. Knit them together, Lord, into a solid force for peace, and give them victory after victory today as they patrol the city. In Jesus name, amen.

Dear Father my prayer is for the Iraqi’s and the American soldiers to be able to work together to keep the peace that has been won in Iraq. Father bind up the trouble makers and confuse their thoughts so that they will not be able to do harm to the innocent citizens of Iraq. Send your peace angels to hover over this place and may unity abound between these brave men and women. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Dear Lord allow the Iraqi Police to work peacefully with the US Troops. Allow them to understand that we are there to lend a helping hand. We want so much to see them take over their own nation in peace.
We want our US Troops to be a guide that leads to Heaven. We need them filled with Your Spirit sweet Lord. Help them to open up the blinded eyes of the people to give their lives to You Lord. They are in great need of Your touch, so move right now we ask!!!
There is no greater gift than the gift of Your Holy Spirit. With that gift we all have the assurance of Heaven. To live in peace and free from all evil in Your sight Oh Lord! Capiture the hearts and the minds of the Iraqi Police Lord. For they will be the main influence in this nation. Let them flow in Your spirit for the saving of the people.
We pray this in faith, through Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen

    Dear Lord:
We thank you for the unity, trust and peace that is beginning to pervade the relationships between our US Troops and the Iraqi people, be they civilians, children, teens, politicians or co-allition Iraqi police.

We know that the division between our Soldiers and ANY Moslims is a deep chasm that cannot be traversed humanly, but your precious promise we can uphold is:
Your word in Psalm 133.1 that says: “Behold, how good it is where brethren dwell at one, it is as when precious ointment is poured out upon the head of Arron, and runs down to his hem” ……”And there God commands His Blessings.”
So, as we dwell peacefull in unity with one another, God COMMANDS His Blessings.
Praise ye the Lord! So let it be.
    In Jesus Name, Amen

Oh Abba Father, I am so greatful for the Iraqis who DO really want to fight against EVIL, & take their country back,FOR GOOD!I send forth the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ into each of their hearts! Save their souls! Abba, if I ever heard Your Voice, I heard it when I asked You how to pray, before this war was ever ‘on the ground’ so to speak. You took me to 1Chroniclae 5:22,a–which says “for many fell dead because the war was God’s.” I have stood & stood & been VERY ATTACKED over this stance in America. BUT–when YOU are on our sides, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?! Noone or nothing! Halleulah! Abba, also, You have given me a Gift of Signs/Wonders/Miracles. Since I met Naval Chaplain–Dwight Horne (or it may have been Dwane Horne–as we met in the Oceanside,Calif., Presbyterian Church on June 11,06)& he spoke to me “Don’t ever lose your fire,Judith!”—I was so awestruck over what he said, because he was in Fallujah, with the MArines,& in the midst of the killing, etc.;& to me,it is–HE & ALL of our Soldiers, who are the HEROES OF the FIRE OF the GOD ALMIGHTY, Father of ALL TRUTH! Oh send me, Father, over there, to do what You have done in the Hospitals, streets, churchs & ALL kinds of other places,(in America & in Mexico, at Mother Teresa’s Orphanage)TO DO YOUR WILL & SHOW FORTH YOUR POWER TO THE ENEMIES & TO THE Iraqi Soldiers! Open the doors, Lord God,in Jesus Name. For I am truly READY to not only LIVE FOR YOU–BUT TO DIE, if it is Your will!BUT–as You’ve shown me, thaere is still so much to do, & I have all the protection of Heavens angels backing me up, as the American Soldiers do worldwide, AND–the precious Blood of Jesus Christ, covering us all! Thank You!amen. Love, Judi Cook

Amen, Lord. You are the only one who can break down the barriers that divide one from another. Shine your light on hearts today and drive out the darkness that hides your great love.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,

    Ephesians 4:3
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

    Colossians 3:14
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

    Jean Says:

Dear Lord of Heaven and earth, may Your will be done in Iraq today. May those who are there to look after the safety of the citizens and help restore order to the nation be willing to submit to Your wisdom and authority. May they find new ways to break down barriers that divide and to support one another’s efforts for peace, working together for a common cause. Then it will be seen that You have been at work in the midst of the conflict in Iraq, as order is restored to a troubled nation by means of authorities who laid aside prejudice, preference and posturing and did the things that lead to peace. May You be rightfully given all the glory as individuals work together for a common cause in Iraq today. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

Dear Father I pray for victory to invade Iraq. Let those who are striving to win a permanant peace be kept safe. May those be flooded by your Holy Spirit so that they will get along with each other and be able to win those who are on the fence as to how their country should proceed. Father nothing is impossible for you so we pray in the name of Jesus that peace will reign in Iraq. Amen.

Lord we look to You from which all Blessings flow. We know where our help comes from and it comes from the Lord.
Lord we ask that you be with all Our US Troops in Baghdad and around the World today. Give them wisdom to lead the people to freedom and peace. Let them do it with Gods Love and not with their own strenght.
Let them lead many lost souls to Your Throne of Grace, where there is always lots of room and comfort for the tormented souls.

Peter 3:8 (AMP) Finally, all [of you] should be of one AND the same mind [united in spirit], sympathizing [with one another], loving [each other] as brethen [of one household], compassionate AND courteous [tenderhearted and humble].

LORD, I lift up these words from Your word, the Bible, and ask that the Iraqi soldiers and police come into unity and harmony with our soldiers and police. I pray also that this will be so with the Afghani soldiers and police towards our soldiers and police there. Lord God Almighty, may these countries truely build their homes and city upon you in harmony and unity. May they learn to trust in you Lord, and know that YOU WILL protect their cities. I pray that our soldiers will live in unity and harmony with each other. Bless them Lord for all that are doing for the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. I plead the blood of Jesus upon them as a protective hedge. In the Holy and precious name of Jesus I pray, and thank you for listening to my prayer and all the prayers lifted up to you today. Amen

    M. Thompson Says:

    Dear Lord:
Thank you for bringing Iraq this far in VICTORY in Your answers to all these praying saints!

The war in Iraq is being won by the physical Soldiers and these Soldiers of Christ on their knees. Please bless them ALL Lord and keep them praying. Don’t let them stop their prayers, please.

Thank you too Lord for the unity and brotherly love between the US Soldiers, one for the other and even the good wishes and gratitude of some of the Iraqi soldiers trained by our precious men and women in uniform.

Lord, we know your coming is imminent and that more earth shaking events will precede your long awaited and longed for arrival ….Your Touch Down on the Mount of Olives.

“Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!”
But give our American pride and joy in Iraq the fortitude and grit and patience to endure.
Things sound like they are getting better but I never believe it on face value until i see it.
So, we need to keep praying.
    Our Soldiers are still dying.
Brothers and sisters, let us continue fighting in the Spirit. We are winning and the Battle is not over.
Thank you Dear Lord and we offer our prayer to you in Jesus Name. Amen

    Betsy P. McAllister Says:

Father,Creator of all life, Keeper of all souls throughout eternity, many lives have been lost in order to get to this point of stabilization for Iraq. We ask that every life would be considered as precious; and every righteous life would be honored by those who are left behind.

Let the memory of lives sacrificed cause those who continue to work for peace to BE peaceful with each other. Let the desire for no more bloodshed rise up in the military and police to the extent that they will be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven us. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

  21. 468
    Sharon W. Says:

Lord, Your are all seeing and all knowing and you know the affairs of men and you care. We ask today for peace to reign between the military and the police force in Iraq. We pray for leaders of the military and police as they work together to stabilize that nation. We pray again for the those who commit jihad and murder in the name of a false god and a false religion. Send your Holy Spirit Lord to bring redemption. Unless you build the house or the country it is all in vain. We ask you in the name of Jesus.

  22. 467
    Mary Ann Says:

    Dear Father,

We thank you that you never get weary, you never get bored or too busy, you never lose interest when prayers are repetitive, so we ask and keep on asking for your Spirit to guide our troops and the Iraqi troops and police as they work to establish a secure, peaceful government in Iraq. As conditions are changing and there is talk of troop withdrawal, please protect all these brave ones. Don’t allow the enemy to infiltrate and steal back what has already been won. We cover our troops with the Blood of Jesus, and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper; and we ask that you would make Jesus known to all the Iraqi troops and police. Please let your Kingdom come and your will be done in Baghdad, all of Iraq, and all of Afghanistan today, Lord. We ask in Jesus’s name. AMEN.

  23. 466
    Lynn Says:

Father, let our troops and the Iraqi army and police see that they are working to the same goal – to bring peace and stability to Iraq. Included in this prayer is Afghanistan as well. Unite them, and give the citizens eyes to see all that they are accomplishing and all that they hope to accomplish. May they have the wisdom and courage to support them. Give them eyes to see You in those who know You, and hearts to know You because of them. May Your name be praised, Lord Jesus, for all You have done and all You will do! In Your name I pray, Amen.

  24. 465
    Luanne Says:

Lord, I pray for unity between our troops and the Iraqi Police. Lord, I pray that there would not be a spirit of superiority on either side. Lord, I pray that you would fill the communication gap. I pray that you would send a spirit of unity and mutual respect for one another. Lord, I pray that the lives of our troops and the IP’s would be impacted forever for your name’s honor and glory. Protect each one we pray. We pray this all in Jesus holy name, Amen.

Dear Father I pray that the Iraqi soldiers and our soldiers will work together to keep the peace that has been won in Iraq. Lord you are all knowing and you guide the future of us all. I pray that each one in Iraq will sense the love you have for them and know that only good is wished upon them. You know the plans you have for them to want only good to come to the warriors who give their lives so that others might live in peace. I pray for them this day in Jesus precious name. Amen
