18-Unity Among the Troops and Police

“There was a period of time when coalition forces had to urge Iraqi forces to fight. That is not the case anymore. They are not only capable of fighting, but they want to fight for a sovereign Iraq.”
-Brig. Gen. Dana Pittard, commander, Iraqi Assistance Group, to reporters in Baghdad March 11.

Scripture: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!” -Psalm 133:1

Prayer: Lord, You count the stars and You know them all by name. You measure the waves of the sea and place boundaries on its shores. You know the hairs on my head and the thoughts and intentions of my heart. Nothing escapes Your notice, there is no one else like You.

soldier_police.jpgLord, I thank you for the brave men and women of the Iraqi police force and army. I ask for Your blessing of unity to be on them as they work along side the allied troops.

I focus on the military operations today in Baghdad, and I ask for your grace and favor to be with teams as they go out: help them to move together in unity, and to function as one cohesive unit. Knit them together, Lord, into a solid force for peace, and give them victory after victory today as they patrol the city. In Jesus name, amen.

” Let brotherly love continue.” Hebrews 13:1

    Lord Jesus,

You have knit together a bond of trust between the Iraq people who want a peaceful homeland and with our warriors.

You know the dangers these persons face because of their working with our warriors.

Protect them and remind them, “…The Lord is my helper; I will not fear, What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

Please continue to walk with, talk for and reveal Your Presence to our warriors as well as to the Iraq people.

    Glory to You Name!!!

Heavenly Father, Thank you for the blessings you so
graciously pour out upon our Military and the Iraqi
Police and Military working to build a democratic
Iraq. Today we lift up all those who are striving to
and working against those who would destroy and
inflict injury upon innocent people. We plead the 91st Psalm over our Men and Women who are unselfishly giving their time and energy to help bring about peace, calm and democracy, not only in
Iraq but also in Afghanistan and throughout the
world. Send forth the Holy Spirit to give wisdom,
guidance and discernment, that they would be filled with knowing what you would have them do and also have the peace of Jesus within their hearts. Let the light of Jesus shine forth from all of our Military, that no weapon formed against them would prosper. Be with the children,
women and men of Iraq, Afghanistan, and wherever our Military are, that they fill great respect and
desire to support our Military and even expose any
evil people who would plot or plan harm. Bring joy and peace to these innocent people that they
will step forward to help work for peace and safety for their countries. Thank you for your love and all you are doing to keep our Men and Women safe and secure in your love. We ask all these things in Jesus Holy Name. Amen.

Father, as a new U.S. president gets sworn in Tuesday, 01/20/09, we can only hope and pray he is wise enough to seek the Lord in his decisions and when searching for answers for the world’s dilemmas. He will be closely watched when sworn in by believers and unbelievers, Christians, atheists, and agnostics in this country and all over the world. Lord, we pray for You to have mercy on all mankind who seek to go their own way without regard to You. Remember the remnant who believe on Your Name, in Jesus’ Name, Amen

Dear Lord we look to You to pour out your Wisdom to the U.S Troops in Baghdad today! Give them Divine instructions from on High, to prepair the Irqa Police and Military to take over their city in Peace. Let them shine like diamonds in a dry and dusty land. Let your Glory be seen in the chooses they make from here on out!

Redirect that nation to be perpaired to make a way of life that is better for the innocent people, who call it home. Allow them to feel a since of peace for the first time in many long years. Equip the military with all well made equipment, to protect and secure the people and the land against all who seek to harm them.

Through our U.S Troops I pray that many of the Irqa Police have come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Lord we ask that you set your Angels Guard over these special Iqra Policemen. With their new found faith lead them in victory by your Power and your Grace!

As for the Irqa policemen who place their trust in Thee we look to your Word for comfort!

Gracious Heavenly Father, wherever conflict is found may there be unity among those seeking peace, whether in Iraq or any other nation. I also pray for unity in spiritual matters and especially that those who call upon Your Name will seek out unity and work together to Your glory. May this especially be so in nations where the freedom to worship together is threatened or minimal. In Jesus’ Precious Name. Amen.

Father God, You have brought much good to Iraq! The Iraqi Army and Police have learned and trained to stand up and protect it’s people. The people have learned to stand up for peace and turn in those who seek to do harm and violence. Give them strength to continue this battle. Because evil still exsists here, there will be setbacks, but encourage them to persevere. Keep our troops safe as they continue to train and walk with their soldiers and police. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.

I really believe God smiles on the prayerful work done by visitors to this website. Since its inception the change in Baghdad has been remarkable. Other prayer sites that focus prayer on only US troops and their families are helpful and of course do some good. But they do not obey the whole principle Jesus taught. And that is to pray for everyone. To leave the Iraqi army and our enemies out of our prayers is to do our army a disservice.
Let all of Baghdad and Iraq feel the inspiration of the grace of almighty God from our humble prayers lifting them up. Let the ones who yearn for stability and justice receive courage and resolve to go forward to do the Lord’s bidding. Let the ones who have planned evil feel the chastening and cleansing power of divine Love. Let repentance and rightousness be revived in their hearts. Let all feel a tenderness and desire for peace for their fellow man and their country.

    Dottie Says:

Dear Father I pray for the Iraqi and American men and women to be able to work together and teach each other how to keep the peace in Iraq. Thank you Father for what has been done, we give you all the praise for answered prayer. I pray that there will not be any blood shed in the weeks and months ahead. Help us to be tollerant and realize that there are more deaths in the US in one week than there are in Iraq. Where people live together there will always be conflict unless we have the love of You Lord Jesus in our hearts. Give those who are the peacekeepers safety and wisdom as they go about their duties. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

    Heavenly Father,

I ask that You would through Jesus bring unity between the troops and police in Baghdad and all of Iraq. Please may they find favor among themselves for their counterparts. I know You are aware of any encounters that are not in harmony. I pray You will heal any rifts. May the troops and police be bound together to be a stronger force than they would be if they only worked independent of each other. Thank You for hearing my prayer for one more day. Through Jesus, Amen

Give them the strength and courage to stand by each other and support each others back in the preceious name of Jesus. I DECLARE THAT TRUE HARMONY AND UNITY WILL ABOUND IN IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, AND OTHER PARTS OF THE MIDDLE EAST amongst the people with our men and women helping them gain back their life and land from the enemy. COVER THEM Father with your wings and give THEM STRAGERIES like you gave the Israelites when they went into battle trusting in you with their battle. YOU ARE OUR BANNER, SHIELD, FORTRESS, AND STRONG TOWER. KNOW ONE ELSE CAN TAKE YOUR PLACE AS OUR REIGNING WARRIOR. I pray this in the name of Jesus and say all glory is yours. Amen

    Jean Says:

Loving Heavenly Father, may You truly be honored and thanked for all the prayers answered on behalf of those fighting for peace and healing in Iraq. I pray for all the troops and police today that they will be able to continue to support and help one another. Please give great wisdom to their commanders and great encouragement to each one who has taken up the cause for what is right, even at personal risk to themselves. May they soon have the joy and satisfaction of seeing a good end result and know that every effort to serve with courage and integrity has been worthwhile and significant in the great scheme of things. I pray that complete stability will come soon to Iraq and that those who have been engaged in the struggle for this may be able to enjoy the fruits of the work they have done. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

    Dear Lord:
Praise and Thank you for Wayne’s prayer from the bosom of your Sacred Heart! We know such a prayer is according to your will.

Matthew 18:19 says, “If any two of you agree upon anything on this earth, it shall be done unto you…..likewise, if two of you bind anything it shall be bound.” Clearly there is power in united prayer.

So, with agreement and unity we pray for your blessings on our Soldiers with their daily Iraqi contacts and interactions. Let brotherly accord and unity be the overriding forces that dictate the outcome of these interactions. For we know that you command your blessing where unity can be found.

You weigh the Nations in the balance Lord, you put all the waters of the seas in the cup of your Hand, you tell the proud waves of the Ocean they can go just so far and no further, setting boundaries where those waves must stop and recede.
So everything is possible to you Dear Lord.

We look to you for brotherly love and accord saturating even the very air itself.
Cause the enemy to drop their weapons and flee if they cannot be peaceful and co-operative with the American Soldiers.
In Jesus Name we pray, Amen

Lord thank you for each and every soldier today and for their heart of service to their country. I ask you to shower blessings upon them. I ask for your angels to protect them in every step they take today. I ask for you to direct them and help them to depend on your direction and not their own understanding.

Fortify their hearts and minds and bring unity so they can accomplish what they are sent out to do. Thank you for brave men and women. Help us, as a prayer team. to be brave and courageous in the face of distractions and holiday events. Keep us focused on our goal and our fight in Jesus name.
