8-Favor for the Police and the Troops

Scripture: “And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us…” -Psalm 90:17

Prayer: Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and a God who cares. You hung all the stars in the sky and not one of them is missing. You know when we sit down and when we stand up, and nothing escapes Your notice.

soldier-helps-child.jpgJesus, we ask for Your help in granting our soldiers favor with the Iraqi people. Where there have been offenses, we ask for things to be repaired, and for trust to be restored and even increased. We ask that good deeds would not go unnoticed, and that those who are the recipients will tell many others the story of the goodness that was shown to them.

Lord, let the bonds of trust and partnership increase through favor with the Iraqi people. We ask for an atmosphere of goodwill to come down and favor that promotes partnership for a free Iraq. We ask for Your divine help, in Jesus name. Amen.

    Ed VonWahlde Says:

Lord, I lit up the moderate voices that live in Adhamiya. We pray, God, that the peace that surpasses all understanding would break out in Adhamiya through them.

All power rests in your hands, Lord. Your love is indeed greater than all things.

    Lynn Says:

Father God, may the Iraqi people see into the kind hearts of our soldiers. There is so much being done to bring peace to their land, so much sacrifice. Create a bond between our wonderful military and the decent and innocent civilians from Iraq and Afghanistan. May there be mercy and grace between them to heal wounds that have been left by untrue teachings and generations of mistrust and hatred. Your love is the true love that can heal, so we ask that You would shower it over the land bringing peace that would glorify Your name alone. Lord, I ask for a stop to the increased violence over these past few days. You can grant safety to our troops, and we will not stop asking for this, and we will not stop praising and worshiping You. It is in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen and Amen.

    Jean Says:

Blessed Heavenly Father, today I pray for wisdom and understanding for the police and the troops serving in Iraq, and also for those serving in Afghanistan. Heavenly Father, for most of the troops this is quite a different culture than they have previously known and it is easy to misunderstand or make mistakes. Help them to see beyond what appears on the surface and to have compassion for the citizens they are serving. For all, dear Lord, troops and police, the situation can become very tense and stressful at unpredictable times. I pray You will especially help them in times like that and enable them by Your help to find the best solution and response to every situation they encounter. May all of these things be done to Your glory and lead to the healing of those troubled lands and the establishment of safety and a stable environment for the citizens of the land. I pray, also, dear Lord, that the troops and police will have great discernment to identify and locate those who are hostile to peace. Please help them in wonderful ways and protect them like a mighty shield from any weapon that might be formed against them. Praise and glory be to Your Name. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

    Faye Says:

Almighty God, I praise Your Holy Name. I pray that today the military and the Iraqi people have a bond that no enemy can sever. I ask You to place a wall of protection around everyone, military and civilian alike. I pray that the enemy will realize the Power of our God that takes care of His people.
In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen

Thank you indeed for favor, sweet Lord of Heaven and Earth and Iraq. We join our hearts and our hands in prayer holding your sword of the spirit as you quench the fiery darts of the enemy, Lord we trust you and lean not to our own understanding or mans or the media’s understanding. You set the time and seasons and you have said that if your people, called by your name, humble ourselves and seek your face, then you will heal our land. We pray for a healing of this your land and of these your people. Let your plan come forth and let the hand of violence be stopped forever in Bagdad! We love you, in Jesus name! Amen

    Rebecca Says:

My god, My Lord, My Savior, You are our Hope and all Glory returns to You!
My Lord, I prayed this prayer, Sat. “for favor with all matter of men” within 1 hr. you answered my simple prayer. Lord, I thank you that YOU care about EVERYTHING that concerns each of us. You have truly blessed our life. What you do for a simple servant of Yours, You will do for our troops this day, as we pray in the Name of Jesus.

    Lord Your word tells us
Pr 3:34 -The LORD mocks at mockers, but he shows favor to the humble.
Create the spirit of humbleness within our troops. Create within each of them a desire to help, inspite of the enemy trying to destroy the good that was being accomplished. Protect them Lord!

You said to Moses “I will indeed do what you have asked, for you have found favor with me, and you are my friend.” We are not Moses, but You are no respectors of persons. (find us faithful)

The kindness being shown to those in Iraq by our troops, Let it be seen, being told, let it ring out! Thank you that today, and tomorrows, Your Word will be decreed over our Troops!
“And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us…” -Psalm 90:17

    Lois Lively Says:

Heavenly Father, our Ancient of Days, I thank you for this day and all the blessings we shall receive from you. Thank you for all your protection you have given to us in America. Father, thank you for loving America, and hearing our cries for help and comfort. In YOU WE LIVE AND BREATH.

Father, I come now to ask that you will protect our men & women there in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Let your protective hand be upon all the students that believe our soldiers are there to help them in this war for peace and freedom. Lord give them a heart of compassion towards our soldiers along with the elder people to tell of all the good deeds done by the soldiers for them. I PRAY NOW THAT YOUR FAVOR will be upon our soldiers with the Iraqi’s and with the Afghani’s. Lord I ask that ALL OF THE GOOD DEEDS by our soldiers be given honor and praise amongest the Iraqi’s and Afghani’s. Give our soldiers and the Iraq soldiers the strength and courage that comes only from you like you did for Joshua and Gideon. Give them wisdom and knowledge from above about the enemy. Father, help al-Sadr not to fall back on his word about peace. Give him the eyes to see the truth and see who the enemy is in his army. I give this prayer into your hands and thank you for hearing ALL OUR PRAYERS. We give you praise, glory and honor for the answer. In and through the name of Jesus. I say “let it be so Lord”. Amen

    Sonya Snyder Says:

Lord we ask for favor for our troops – that it will spread like wildfire over our own land, that the vast majority of voting citizens and their families in the USA will at once see their value and stand behind them and our nation’s right desire for freedom for other lands. That the eternal influence of our works there will be shown and be a force that convicts those who have thought wrongly, and a force that brings revival to our land, and our soldiers who may be looking for God in this too.

  10. 210
    Luanne Says:

Lord, you say in your word, “Let the children come unto me for such is the kingdom of heaven.” We pray that the children would lead them, that the children of Iraq, of Baghdad, of Afghanastan would give favor to our troops. We ask that our troops would show favor to the children. While caring for the children, may the adults be blessed. Lord, pour out your Spirit on all of our troops, on all of the Iraqi police, on all of the children, on all of the civilians of Iraq. Lord, bless them with divine favor, divine appointments, divine connections, and divine opportunities. Lord, guard them from the evil one. Hedge the enemy out of Iraq, in Jesus name. Open up the store houses of heaven and pour out blessings pressed down, shaken together, and running over. May the blessings be so huge that joy comes to this city and to this region. And Lord, I would like to pray this for Jerusalem and for the citizens of Israel as well. Bless the people, troops, and especially the children of Judah as well. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

    Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

When I consider Your goodness at work in the world I am astounded at what You accomplish. You work through people to make good things happen for others. I pray this day that all Your good works accomplished through the troops and police in Baghdad and Iraq would be noticed and acknowledged by the recipients. Let the troops and police be encased by good feelings everywhere they go throughout the day and night. Let shining eyes and bright smiles greet them at every encounter with the citizens. Let the media share good news reports of the wonderful things the troops and police have done for the people. Last night, Lord, I was present at an event which was attended by two soldiers from the Army that were here in Georgia from Iraq. They were recognized when everyone stood and applauded them. It was wonderful to see the hero reception they received. All the troops and police need to be recognized for the great jobs they are doing and for how they put their lives on the line for people they do not even know. God bless each one and please this day let those they work so hard to protect show them favor. Through Jesus, Amen

    Barbara C. Says:

Thank You, Father-God for all these prayers set in motion by believing mouths. Thank You for the heart-faith that is demonstrated in every heart of those who have spoken.

HEAR our voices as that CHORUS, O LORD, that chorus of PRAISE that can bring walls far down into the earth, that can LIFT yokes of heaviness and release power of GOODNESS in all the earth.

UNITE Your VOICE of PEACE in IRAQ, in BAGHDAD, and throughout the earth! May Your holy name be praised with not only a righteous outcome but also an EXPEDIENT one! YES, I pray that the end of this war would come and that our boys and girls could/would come home in joy over a job well done. SUCH negative comes against them at times but I am convinced, O Lord, that Your positive in believing, praying, ordinary people of these United States is greater than all the naysayers, and sturdier than all the scoffing, scorning, voices encouraged and inspired by the enemy’s efforts to cause division in our land.

Your power is greater, O God, than he who wishes to divide us. Impart that spirit of dedication-to -holy-cause into Your people and may we never give up, especially when it “appears” we might be outnumbered. Let us BELIEVE the TRUTH and let the liar once again be fully exposed. OH LORD, may that be spectacularly TRUE during this election year. In JESUS” name, AMEN!

    Loretta Worthy Says:

Father, We declare Your favor for our troops and the Iraqi cause with the Iraqi people and our Congress. We pray favor for them with all mankind today and every day. All day long people go out of their way to bless and help them. Doors that were once closed are now open for a free Iraqi society. All people, especially the citizens of Iraq and our Congress will give preferential treatment and special privileges to our troops and the effort to keep Iraq free of radical Islam and oppressive government. No good thing will be withheld from our troops and the free Iraqi government. Enemies cannot triumph over them. We declare restoration of everything that the devil has stolen from the Iraqi people and from our troops. We declare that they have honor in the midst of their adversaries and an increase of all the things that add to their success and prosperity. We declare that they will experience great victories, supernatural turnabouts and miraculous breakthroughs in the midst of great impossibilities. Great recognition, prominence and honor will be given to them. Petitions are granted to them even by ungodly authoritieis. Policies, rules and regulations are changed and reversed on their behalf. Battles are won without them even having to fight. The favor of God is in full manifestation for our troops and the Iraqi people. The glory of God fills Iraq. Jesus is Lord there. We declare it is so in the authority of Jesus.

Thank You Father for Your love and blessings. You are an awesome God and loving Father. I pray for continued divine interventions that will promote goodwill and show Your glory through all efforts, kindnesses, miracles, and visits with Jesus. I pray Father for Your favor on the troops and the police for their bravery and trying to do what’s right. Continue to show them the way. I pray for the uprising of those who have followed Al-sadr to stand up and rebuke the hate and destruction. Allow their eyes to be open and see the difference between his way and Your way. If they stand in numbers they can defeat this ideology that would only lead them to darkness. Help them see this so clearly. Please protect the people from harm. Protect our peacekeepers and bring them home safely. Jesus thank You for coming to so many so they know the truth and I pray that You continue to come to them let them know how wonderful You are. In Your mighty name I pray, Amen.

Heavenly Father, there are no words to express who you are and what you have done for man and your creation. There is no other god like you. You are the everlasting God. We lift our prayers today for the leaders of Iraq and ask that you give them courage and wisdom. We ask for protection over the military and we pray for peace to come soon so these soldiers can return home. We ask for leaders to rise among the Iraqi people who want peace and not strife and war. We ask so much, Lord, but we have no one to ask but you. In Jesus name, we pray.

    Babs in Michigan Says:

Father right now we lift up al-Sadr, who is considering a lifting on the freeze of his fighters and condemning both American and Iraqi troops. Please confound the enemy by your mighty power and put 10,000 to rout by the prayers of your people today. Jesus, Isaiah said of you, “I will put my Spirit on Him and He will bring justice in the nations”. Please Lord, bring justice to Baghdad.

    Betsy P. McAllister Says:

Dear Father You have promised in Your Word: “But let all those who put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: let them also that love Thy name be joyful in Thee. For Thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt Thou compass him as with a shield. Ps. 5:11,12.
Thank You, Father that You are defending, blessing, giving favor and guarding Your own.
“Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father. There is no shadow of turning with Thee. Thou changest not. Thy compassions they fail not. As Thou hast been Thou forever will be.”

    Marikya Says:

Almighty, Holy and Awesome God,I pray that you will pour out your Spirit over the country of Iraq in an incredible way, manifesting your Presence through dreams, visions and the anointed speech of those who can speak forth your word in such fashion as to bring about the conversion of increasing numbers of those who are lost. May they turn to You, the Source of all hope, love and peace. Miraculously bring about the healing of the nation as the people from every faction respond to your grace. Together we unite in declaring an end to the enemy’s design to use people to kill, steal and destroy whether it is our troops, or the inhabitants of Iraq. This we pray in the Name of our wonderful, merciful and gracious soon coming King, Jesus.

    Lily Says:

Dear Father; thank you for watching over our troops during the night; thank You for watching over the Iraqui police force. I pray that our troops will be an inspiration and a God like example for the Iraqui police to model.
Without the presence of Jesus in our lives, and in the lives of our military and civillians, there is little hope for succes, since Your very word declares “that unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain”
Lord we declare a Holy Ghost cleansing of every person involved in thr restoration of Baghdad!
    In Jesus name I pray,
    Amen and Amen

    laura Says:

First of all we thank You for all that You have done in answering our many prayers and we await the report from General Petraeus today and ask Lord that Your Name be Glorified when all the numbers are given. Thank You Father for the prayers of the faithful on behalf of the Iraqi people and the many men and women who serve to help bring democracy to this country. Father please protect them and keep them safe, give them kind words to help those in need and let the people of Iraq know that these people are there to help them, not hinder, not be a problem but to aid and assist.
We love You Lord and Thank You for all You have done
    In Jesus Name we pray

    Judith E. Connell Says:

This prayer topic is so important because the removal of U.S. and British troops rests on this. The Iraqi people must see themselves as self-sufficient, wise and capable and under the authority of our Lord in order to have the ability to trust and be trusted. Lord so many police convoys and stations and recruitment areas have been attacked, so many widows and orphans made. My prayer is for them in terms of James 1:5 and for those men and their families who have survived. Certainly giving them a fullsome pay packet is so important to erase bribery. LOrd, hold them near the examples they have seen are so negative. Show them Your loving light to feel and understand.

Praise our Father, His Son, our brother and soon coming King, Saviour and Husband and the oh, so important Holy Spirit/Comforter to lead them, encourage them and provide intercession for them to You, Our dear Lord.

  24. 196
    Sabrina Says:
