8-Favor for the Police and the Troops

Scripture: “And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us…” -Psalm 90:17

Prayer: Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and a God who cares. You hung all the stars in the sky and not one of them is missing. You know when we sit down and when we stand up, and nothing escapes Your notice.

soldier-helps-child.jpgJesus, we ask for Your help in granting our soldiers favor with the Iraqi people. Where there have been offenses, we ask for things to be repaired, and for trust to be restored and even increased. We ask that good deeds would not go unnoticed, and that those who are the recipients will tell many others the story of the goodness that was shown to them.

Lord, let the bonds of trust and partnership increase through favor with the Iraqi people. We ask for an atmosphere of goodwill to come down and favor that promotes partnership for a free Iraq. We ask for Your divine help, in Jesus name. Amen.

Merciful Heavenly Father, how very great You are! How awesome are Your ways. Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You would look with favor and mercy on the troops that are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, serving in a foreign land for the sake of others and to bring healing and stability to that part of the world. Please be with them at their right hand to give them success in what they are doing, and keep their feet from straying into areas of harm. Please guard their hearts to keep them true and focused on doing what is good and right and encourage their minds to know that their efforts will bring about good result and that they are supported by this prayer group and by the people of their homeland. May we hear of good things being accomplished through their efforts and may they always conduct themselves in a manner that earns support and respect. Please keep them safe and give them favor in the eyes of all. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

    Ann from AL Says:

Father, we realize that we all sin and fall short of your glory. In time of stress and war, it would be easy to sin. Draw our troops close to your heart by your Holy Spirit and direct their paths. May they lean on You and not their own understanding and acknowledge You in ALL their ways. Protect them from the evil one and give them favor with the Iraqis, especially the children. May the Iraqis truly see that we are there to help free them from darkness and we are not there because we need anything from them. Let your light shine forth thru our troops, even those who don’t know You yet. Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in Iraq as it is in heaven on this day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    Dear Father,
We come to the throne room to ask for your intervention today in Iraq. We do pray for favor for our soldiers and the police who are helping to try and bring peace to this place again. I pray you would protect them from every evil scheme of the enemy. Let the plans be destroyed in Jesus name. Let them actually back fire on the ones who are trying to cause destuction and death. Let them know they will not win, they must give up…they will not succeed! We pray for you to give the peace-makers victory. Thank you most gracious heavenly Father. We love you Lord! Amen and Amen

    Joan Gintella Says:

Father in Heaven, we pray for continued favor between our troops and the Iraqi citizens. We see, through pictures, kind acts and deeds by our soldiers for the little children who suffer so much. A little kiss on the cheek of a child by a soldier, a hug, helping to tie their shoe, playing soccer with them, holding them when they are injured and in pain and can’t fall asleep are all sincere goodwill gestures toward the beautiful children of Iraq – your children too Lord.
To see a smiling child playing or touching one of our soldiers and having him smile back is a beautiful sight. So many of our fighting men and women have left their own children at home and they show affection and caring for the Iraqi children. We pray that the bond between our military and the innocent of Iraq continue and grow stronger day by day. Bless the little children Lord, keep them safe from all danger and harm. In Jesus name, Amen and Amen

    nina Says:

Thank You Father for this day. Please Father help the Iraqi people understand and remember the good intentions of America and the President. We didn’t go there for war we went to help them topple a cruel and oppressive regime and to leave the people with liberty. Liberty that could possibly allow them to have peace and to know You and Jesus . The war was not our idea or what we wanted. Protecting them and their liberty is the reason we stayed. Let this and all the acts of kindnesses and help be remembered. The sacrifices without expecting anything in return. We and other nations who care just because it’s right, it’s the blessing and grace we get (and learn to give) from You as Your people. I pray this blessing is spread to the people of Iraq and who will also have caring hearts just because. Please Lord keep the Holy Spirit with them to help them and give them caring hearts. Protect them Jesus from the efforts of Satan to intervene and help them know You. In Your mighty name, Amen.

Father, We proclaim Godly attitudes and behavior in our troops and in the Iraqi police and we proclaim Godly favor for them as they patrol and protect the people and the country of Iraq from men of evil intent. They experieince great victories and supernatural turnabouts and miraculous breakthroughs in the midst of great impossibilities. They receive preferential treatment from the citizens of Iraq and no good thing is withheld from them. Attitudes, regulations, and rules are changed and often reversed on their behalf. The favor of God rests upon them immeasurable; it goes before them and surrounds them. They receive honor, respect, aid, greater victories, recognition and prominence. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

    Heavenly Father,

We can do no more than to ask for Your divine help through Jesus to bring favor upon the troops and police from the Iraqi people. You alone know where all the breakdowns in trust and allegiance are occurring. I pray You would repair those breakdowns and strengthen any weak spots before they cause any difficulties. Do not let feelings of resentment and bitterness from past mistakes fester and filter into current relationships. Heal the wounds of the past. Let all the good deeds be done for the right motives and let them be received with open and welcoming hearts. Let words of thanks be quick to come forth out of the mouths of those who benefit from the good deeds. Shower such goodness down on Baghdad and Iraq that You will be glorified that everyone is getting along so well for all good things come from You. Thank You for all the good deeds of this and everyday. Through Jesus, Amen
