8-Favor for the Police and the Troops

Scripture: “And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us…” -Psalm 90:17

Prayer: Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and a God who cares. You hung all the stars in the sky and not one of them is missing. You know when we sit down and when we stand up, and nothing escapes Your notice.

soldier-helps-child.jpgJesus, we ask for Your help in granting our soldiers favor with the Iraqi people. Where there have been offenses, we ask for things to be repaired, and for trust to be restored and even increased. We ask that good deeds would not go unnoticed, and that those who are the recipients will tell many others the story of the goodness that was shown to them.

Lord, let the bonds of trust and partnership increase through favor with the Iraqi people. We ask for an atmosphere of goodwill to come down and favor that promotes partnership for a free Iraq. We ask for Your divine help, in Jesus name. Amen.

Dear Father, Thank You for Your mercies and Grace; Thank You Your protection for our military and our Civillians. I pray this prayer as David prayed in Psalsm71 Versee 1-5
In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
    2. Deliver me in thy righteouness, and cause me to escape: Incline thine ear unto me, and save( our Troops) me.
    3. Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save( our troops) me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
Father I ask this prayer for our Troops, our Civillians, and for The Police forces in Iraq.
    In Jesus name,

    Loretta Worthy Says:

Father, we thank you for the progress and improvements that have been made in Iraq in trust, cooperation and in transfer of responsibility to Iraqi citizens. We thank you for wisdom and empowerment for the Iraqi police and the Iraqi military as well as for the honesty and integrity of the Iraqi politicians and those in positions of authority. We thank You, Father, for the return of this ancient land into Your hands and that Your will is done in Iraq as it is in heaven. Jesus is Lord of Iraq. Terrorism and militant Islam are uprooted and wiped out. Darkness and perversion of God’s will are things of the past. Light, Love and the Glory of God fills Iraq and all the world is amazed. We declare it is so in the authority of Jesus.

Dear Jesus, I agree. Thank You so much for the protection You’ve given both our troops and the Iraqi troops. Please help them to keep on doing their best as they work together to bring an end to all the hurt and destruction. Please have Your hedge of protection around them and bind Satan from trying to bring harm and disunity. We trust in You to work everything out in the best way possible.

    Dear Father:
Again I say thank You for everything You have done for our Troops, and for the Iraqui police force. You have shown undeserved favor and protection for all!.
I ask in the name of Your precious Son Jesus, that You continue to protect them from harm and danger. You have given us the authority to bind up those things that are hindersnces to our military, civillians and those who seek to have freedom and demoracy in that landof Baghdad: and it is with that authority that I speak in the name of Jesus, that every evil act which is performed, or even thought of by our enemies, be exposed, and destroyed in Jesus name.

Dear Father in Heaven, I pray for healing and restoration to come to Iraq and that the troops and police will be able and willing to help bring this about. I pray that every effort to this goal will be encouraged and that the citizens who have suffered in this war will be able to support and help the efforts in rebuilding. Give insight and wisdom to the commanders and to those on the ground and may this work out to fulfill Your purposes for that region and to make a great difference throughout that part of the world. May Your Name be glorified and highly honored. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Dear Heavenly and Gracious Father, I come before you in humbliness and faith and before your awesome and wonderful majestic throne. Thank you for all the blessings you have poured upon the land and people of Iraq and Afghanistan. May this year of 2008 be much more greater in your blessings, love, mercy, and grace upon these countries. For the people of Iraq I give them Your “Word” that is found in PSALM 30:5 “HIS ANGER LASTS FOR A MOMENT, BUT HIS FAVOR LASTS A LIFETIME! Weeping may go on all night, BUT JOY COMES WITH THE MORNING.

Heavenly Father, for the troops of Iraq and for our troops I lay before you the “Word” found in PSALM 31 …. May they say these words in faith from the dephs of their hearts. “Lord You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of Your name, lead me out of this peril. I entrust my spirit into your hand. Rescue me, Lord, for you are a faithful God. I am overcome with joy because of your unfailing love. You have not handed me over to my enemy, but have set me in a safe place. I am trusting you, O Lord, saying “you are my God”. My future is in your hands. Let your favor shine on your servant, in your unfailing love, save me. Lord God Almighty hide them in the shelter of your presence, save from those who conspire against them. Lord, shelter them in our presence, far from accusing tongues. Love the Lord, all ou faithful ones! For the Lord protec those who are loyal to Him, but He harshly punishes all who are arrogant. BE STRONG AND TAKE COURAGE, ALL OF YOU WHO PUT YOUR HOPE IN THE LORD!

FATHER, IN THE NAME OF JESUS I PROCLAIM THAT EVERY WORD SAID ABOVE WILL BE PERFORMED THE TROOPS AND IN IRAQ. I PROCLAIM THAT Your glory will be shone over and in this country. Your will be done there as you have it written in heaven. Let there be healings in this country Lord, and Your Word be heard through out the Middle East. OPEN doors that need to be opened, and CLOSE doors that need to be closed. I pray this now in the Holy name of Jesus. All Glory belongs to you. Amen

To The watchman and to the Intercessors..
The Lord says to Lift up Your voices, keep your eyes open, Let He how has an ear HEAR, this day. Awake, Arise, see….

    Isa 52:8 –
Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the Lord brings back Zion.

    Luke 21:20-28
20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. 25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

Speak up, be not afraid, For the Glory of the Lord will be Upon You. Take your post, take your place, sound the alarm.

    Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

You have placed it upon the hearts of the troops and police in Baghdad and Iraq to do good deeds for the people in that place. Let the goodness of the deeds add flavor to the land like salt brings out the good flavor of food. Let the talk of the town be about these good things that are happening because of the influence of the police and troops. Give them favor beyond what has been known in the past. Let that favor grow into love for their countrymen and outsiders who have come into service even to the point of giving their lives for the inhabitants. They are following Christ’s example whether or not they are believers. Let this be recognized that the people of Baghdad are cared about enough so that lives are willingly sacrificed so that those who dwell in Baghdad and Iraq can have improved living conditions and better government. Thank You God for the favor shown through smiling faces conveying love for the police and troops. Through Jesus, Amen

    MThompson Says:

    Dear Lord:
As we look at this picture of the US Soldier tying the shoe of a little Iraqi boy we are reminded that Your Word says that we are to “Overcome evil by doing good.”
This does not negate the use of weapons of war for the Bible tells of many wars that Jahovah G-d fought along side the Children of Israel, causing them to win. In this fallen world there are “wars and rumors of wars”.
In the World to Come with King Jesus Christ as ruler of this earth again, not that long away now, “They shall beat their swords into plowshares, (war economy becomes an aggrarian economy) and their young men will no longer learn to make war.” Oh Lord, how we long for that magnificent Day.
Your Word also tells of the power of love, in Song of Solomon we hear, “Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it.”
Love is also a force and it is stronger than the force of hate. Hate is not quenched until total anhialation occurs and then endures in the next infected generation and so on.
But love, quenches hate and endures all things. Lord, teach us to love our enemies and deny ourselves. We need to realize that this life is a vapor and eternity with You and Your love and approval is enough to make us want to do this hard thing.
In Jesus Name we remain waiting ….Amen

Father, to you alone belongs all glory, honor and praise. Words are inadequate to describe your glory. Thank you for the blessings that you are bringing to pass in Iraq. We pray for peace over the land. We pray for health and safety for our soldiers and the police. We ask that you let the children of Iraq grow up knowing the prince of peace and not the god of war. In the name of Jesus, I pray.

    Joan Bowe Says:

Precious Father, thank You for Who You are. How humbled we are by Your love and how comforting if Your faithfulness. Lord, we ask that You grant abundant favor to our soldiers in Iraq who are fighting for righteousness’ sake and to free a people who have been oppressed. Bless the labor of their hands and touch their hearts that they might learn to love as You love and to be kind as You are kind. Let Your character flow through them onto others, showing Your goodness to these dear people and building the faith of the people of Baghdad to know that there are there not to bring discord but to bring peace and to help them rebuild and restore their country. And, Father, I pray that our country will stay there until this job is done and that the people in the Middle East would come to know that we are a people of peace and not of war but that we will stand against injustice and are there for our fellow man in time of need.

Thank You Lord for hearing our prayers and for answering them according to Your will, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

    Lord God Creator
What joy fills my heart when I read back over the prayers said not only for this day but for the past months as well. Loving God and Father thank You that these service people take the time to want to help the small children and those who cannot help themselves. We pray for more continued service to the Iraqi people from not only the service people but the Iraqi police as well – Lord please entrust them to care for the little things in life so that the Iraqi people will see they truly do care about their well being as You care about all of our well being but more importantly Father put the right words in someone’s mouth may they be Your Words that will lead someone to know Christ.
We love and serve You Lord through prayer and service to You where we are in this time and place
    In Jesus Name we pray

Dear Lord, as I read through the prayers for the troops in Iraq, I join in these prayers and lift up to You all of the ones incharge who are having to make very important decessions. I pray that no decession will be made before it is brought before You Lord. I pray for the safety of all the Troops as they carry out these orders. I ask You Father to let the Iraqi Police and the troops unite together and stand side by side working together to bring peace, law and order to their country.. I ask You Lord to please let all peoples in Iraq be receptive of the things the Military is trying to teach them. Bring peace to their land Father and heal their troubled souls. In Jesus name I ask these things Amen
