8-Favor for the Police and the Troops

Scripture: “And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us…” -Psalm 90:17

Prayer: Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and a God who cares. You hung all the stars in the sky and not one of them is missing. You know when we sit down and when we stand up, and nothing escapes Your notice.

soldier-helps-child.jpgJesus, we ask for Your help in granting our soldiers favor with the Iraqi people. Where there have been offenses, we ask for things to be repaired, and for trust to be restored and even increased. We ask that good deeds would not go unnoticed, and that those who are the recipients will tell many others the story of the goodness that was shown to them.

Lord, let the bonds of trust and partnership increase through favor with the Iraqi people. We ask for an atmosphere of goodwill to come down and favor that promotes partnership for a free Iraq. We ask for Your divine help, in Jesus name. Amen.

Yes, Lord, we agree with these prayers. Lord, we give you glory just as the multitude of angels did before the shepherds and we cry, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.’ Lord, we pray your angels over Baghdad, Iraq; Kabul, Afghanastan; Washington, D.C., USA; and Jerusalem, Israel. Lord, we pray just as the angels declared your glory so many years ago announcing your arrival, that you would decree your return to the shepherds of these countries today as well. Lord, from the poor shepherd boys carrying for the sheep and goats of these foreign lands, to the shepherds of their souls — pastors and your laborers, to the shepherd officials of these governments, we pray that your spirit would hover over each one. Give wisdom and understanding to each individual of influence and those of no influence. Lord, we pray that each one would labor for a good name and favor, for that is better than great riches and silver and gold. Lord, we pray your favor and a good name on our troops with the Iraqis. Lord, may the good that is going on bring about a season of peace. We ask that you would amend any dishonorable act where our troops did not walk in holiness. We ask that each dishonorable act would be covered with your precious blood. Lord, I ask that not only will many Iraqis come to know you as LORD, but that many of our troops will come to know you as well.

Lord, bless those troops serving away from their families during the holidays. Bring your peace, your presence, and your power to the troops and their families. I pray for those who are serving and for those who have served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and in Operation Enduring Freedom. May they grow in the knowledge and understanding of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May they grow in favor with both you and with man. Work in all of these lives as only you can do. You are an awesome God — almighty, all powerful, all knowing. Lord, we look to you for help, we look to you for understanding, we look to you for peace. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

    Dear Lord:
My heart swells with pure overflowing Joy that waters my eyes and melts my heart to see all the fervent and effectual prayers made to You today on behalf of our US Soldiers.
Thank you for the Faithful Prayer Warriors that are daily at your gateposts praying for our US Soldiers! Bless them mightily Lord!!!!!

Lord, if our Soldiers are so precious to us, how more do you long for them with a longing and a love that surpasses all description!
This is their time of Harvest to Your Kingdom. They are sifted today and woo’d today and it will be us tomorrow.
But while it is still today,,,,,give our Soldiers the heart and the will to answer Your Call and become Yours. Woo them with chords of love and mercy and if they see it is You Dear Jesus they cannot resist!
You are irresistable Jesus. Fairer than ten thousand, gentle and meek yet fierce enough to Roar and the mountains quake and tumble into the sea.
Lord, let the Iraqi’s people, leaders and citizens and enemies alike see a beam and glow surrounding our Soldiers.
Let that glow of the Holy Spirit on our Soldiers either cause their enemies to flee or to put down their weapons in wonderment and try to communicate and ask,
“What do you have? I want it too. Is it Jesus?”
Lord please send a wave of favor for our Soldiers with their surrounding Iraqi’s.
Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. Every day you demonstrate just who the BOSS of this beautiful planet is…..It’s Jesus.

    Jean Says:

Loving Heavenly Father, I too pray for the soldiers. I understand that are living and serving in situations of great stress, yet it must seem at times as if the eyes of the world are upon them. I’m sure that there are many good works and even heroic efforts that have seemed to go unnoticed. Yet, You notice, and You know, and I believe You will reward every good deed and every effort made for peace. Please give wisdom to the soldiers to conduct themselves in a manner that is helpful. Help them to realize that the people around might be very frightened and unable to understand acts of good will or efforts made on their behalf. Bless the soldiers, Lord, and help them, even in the midst of stress and duress, to find creative ways to bring help and not harm to the citizens of Iraq. In Jesus’ Precious and Lovely Name. Amen.

Dear heavenly Father, as we pray for our troops, we also pray for their families. We ask You to make Your Presence known to spouses and children, make Your Presence known as the father of the fatherless and the wife of the widow, whether the dads/husbands are in Heaven or on Earth. Make Your Presence known to the spouses of women soldiers, to the parents and grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends of our military. Grant them all the peace of God which passes all understanding. Dry every tear of loneliness and loss; and heal each hurting one to the depths of their innermost being. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Father, I so agree with the requests left here for and of You! Our soldiers are so brave and give of themselves for others, and are gone from their families for long periods of time. Help the Iraqi and Afghanistan people to see and understand this and remember this. May their children see and taste the goodness they bring – and remember to their children’s children so the generational hatred will stop. Above all, may they see Your light and love through our soldiers who believe in You and may Your name be glorified over Baghdad, Iraq and Afghanistan! In Jesus name I pray! Amen and Amen.

    Loretta Worthy Says:

Father, We thank you for favor for the troops and police with each other and with the people of Iraq and Afganistan. Let there be cooperation and unity. We are tired of Al Quada and all the militant Islamic terrorists. Let them be uprooted and of no consequence forever. Let them be ashamed and brought low. Let their power drain away and their effectiveness be null and void. Let no one be interested in their ideologies any more forever. Turn their hearts toward the light and free them from the hell they call Islam. Their minds have been lied to all their human days. Let them rise above the lies and see truth. Set them free from teachings of devils, wrong thinking and bondage of heart and mind. Let Your glory fill all Iraq and Afganistan. We declare that Jesus is Lord and say it is so in His authority.

    nina Says:

Thank You Father for all that is good is from You. Even the goodness that is inside of us is from You. In the blackness You masterfully created our world, placing each star in a specific place, each mountain where they stand, and beautiful oceans that meet our shores. This perfection could only come by Your divine making. Thank You for the goodness You placed in us that makes us Yours and makes us the reflection of Your love and image. These wonderful heroes, our soldiers, whether they know it or not are Your most precious and brave servants around the world. I pray for Your blessings and favor on them. I pray that they are known and remembered for what they truly are, heroes. I pray that the Iraqi people especially the young ones will remember their kindnesses and hard effort to help them and they expected nothing in return. The true character of those who belong to You. Please bless the Iraqi people with protection, liberty, many friends in world including us, and especially with Your word and love of Jesus in their lives. I pray this in faith, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
