8-Favor for the Police and the Troops

Scripture: “And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us…” -Psalm 90:17

Prayer: Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and a God who cares. You hung all the stars in the sky and not one of them is missing. You know when we sit down and when we stand up, and nothing escapes Your notice.

soldier-helps-child.jpgJesus, we ask for Your help in granting our soldiers favor with the Iraqi people. Where there have been offenses, we ask for things to be repaired, and for trust to be restored and even increased. We ask that good deeds would not go unnoticed, and that those who are the recipients will tell many others the story of the goodness that was shown to them.

Lord, let the bonds of trust and partnership increase through favor with the Iraqi people. We ask for an atmosphere of goodwill to come down and favor that promotes partnership for a free Iraq. We ask for Your divine help, in Jesus name. Amen.

    Dear Father,

The prayers that I have read and agreed with on this site today seem especially precious, honest, and dear. Lord, I thank you for the praying army that you have raised up and brought here. Bless each of these ‘pray-ers’ as they offer there intercession before you. Father accept our united offering. May it rise before your throne continually and tip the cup of mercy over the region of Iraq. Encourage these intercessors(including me!) to continue steadfastly in their prayers. Multiply their efforts and raise up new waves of praying people! I ask blessings on every person that makes requests on behalf of the hurting Iraqi people, beguiled terrorists, and our soldiers in the region. Lord, have favor on us, your church–which you have called “a house of prayer for all peoples.” And move mightily that we might see Your power, Your character, and Your GREAT love for your children–and those you’ve sent us to reach–manifested in our world. In the precious name of the slain lamb, Your Son, Jesus Christ, I pray. Let it be!

And, Lord, we sure do love You!!
    Amen.

    Dear Lord:
We ask for an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit on all flesh in Baghdad today. Please infuse the very air with the perfume of Your Beauty and love and compassion….and Peace.

Soften hearts that are stony and let laughter ring and ripple through the air. Let comaraderie prevail amongst all men and women today.
We know that an all powerful God can accomplish such a magnificent feat.
In such things God takes pleasure.
Have pleasure in your creatures in Iraq today Lord on both sides of the war.
But most of all, bring Glory to Your Name and be magnified in the midst of all the people.
Be known by all. In Jesus Name Amen

    Father God:
We thank you for the improvement in the situation in Iraq. We ask that the time that is needed to solidify the gains will be granted before our troops and those of the coalition forces are withdrawn. May President Bush and those who served our nation in Iraq not be robbed of the confirmation that their effots have resulted in securing a national government that can govern and protect their population and use their resources to build a great democracy bringing lasting peace to this nation and area in the Middle East.

    Abba Father
We lift our voices in praise to You for so many answered prayers regarding Iraq. Father we extend those prayers to nearby Afghanistan as well. Father we are grateful that You are making a difference in Iraq through Your divine intervention and ask that today You indeed show people how the service people are there to help, give them the right words to turn the hearts of the even hardest of those who would want to harm them. Even so Father may there be service people who know You who would speak of Your goodness and mercy and lead others to Your Son Jesus Christ in whose name we pray
    AMEN

Lord, today, in Jesus’ name, I would also come against the people in my own country that would have us lose this war. The have invested interests in America being defeated. I ask that You would stir up Your people in my country as they comptemplate voting and seek Your will on this matter. I

    Joan Gintella Says:

Father God, we come to you and ask for you to build a bridge between the Iraqis and our soldiers. May this be a bridge of trust, respect and honor that will allow honest and open communication so we can root out these terrorists and stop the senseless killings. The Evils want to break the will of the Iraqi citizens and they are trying to break their will by constant bombings and murder. But your love and compassion will make the Iraqis strong. Surround the innocents and our wonderful and brave soldiers with your love, grace and mercy. Reveal the Evils to our soldiers so they can be stopped from murdering anymore Iraqi civilians. Give the people courage to come forth with information that will help end this conflict. Lord, bless our brothers and sisters in Christ who pray daily for our troops. We ask that the leaders in Iraq be strengthened, that they become strong leaders and we ask that you present them Lord. In Jesus name, Amen

    Barbara C. Says:

Father-God, I can think of no greater place where one might serve Your cause than in the earth-suits we call “soldier” and “policeman.” These men and women present themselves as “living sacrifices,” many times without realizing up front the full extent of their offering. I give You high praise for these servants.

I pray for them now and declare that the Lamb’s blood offering, given once for all, covers them in their endeavors to bring fairness and justice to a nation and teach them how to administer the same for themselves. Oh Lord God, MASTER of heaven AND earth, bring peace into this land, watched and protected by their own people so that ours can come home. LIFT the clouds of oppression from these people and bring down the strongholds of the enemy from their land.

Encourage and embolden our own troops, down to the individual. Above all, train each and every one to “hear” the Shepherd’s voice, especially in moments of danger. Where death is suddenly part of the experience, please dear LORD, according to Your divine design, take an eternity moment, here in THIS world, for each to deal with the most important matter of his/her soul… Yes, let salvation from eternal destruction SPILL over every single troop from the highest commander to the lowest recruit and IN TIME before the last breath is drawn. Of course, it would be our very heart’s DESIRE for all to return safely and physically/mentally/emotionallly intact to the home of their mothers/father/wives/husbands/sweethearts/friends.

We do NOT dwell on the negative possibilities but O LORD, we do NOT HESITATE to cover them by prayer. Let us also pray for those mothers/fathers/wives/sweethearts/friends who are affected in Iraqi citizenry over the loss of their own children.

WAR is a terrible thing and a horrific price to pay on all sides. We render ourselves submissively to prayer in these times, KNOWING that war is a weapon in Your hand to draw all men to Thee.

We are continually INSPIRED to pray the WORD over these troops, ours and theirs, because we believe that is YOUR PURPOSE…. for us to pray down into the earth what already exists in heaven. We look forward to that heavenly PEACE that comes when battles are over.

Thank You for Your faithfulness to Your WORD. Let us be divinely lined up with its TRUTH! In JESUS’ name, I pray, AMEN.

    Jean Says:

Dear Merciful and Gracious One, may both the troops serving in Iraq and the citizens living there find grace and wisdom to work together and support one another in the goal of restoring peace and stability to that land. Please bless and encourage each one who has been willing to lay aside pride and self-interest for the sake of harmony and mutual support. Where there are misunderstandings or conflict please help Your people to display patience and a listening ear. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

    Henry Newberry Says:

Romans 4:16-18 Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed — GOD, WHO GIVE LIFE TO THE DEAD AND CALLS THOSE THINGS WHICH DO NOT EXIST AS THOUGH THEY DID; 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”

Father, according to Your Word, and the power of it, we call Iraq a righteous nation. Because it is from the seed of Arabrahm, the people to can receive the promise of Your salvation by faith in Christ.

Becasue the promise of Abraham is by faith, all peoples of the earth can receive the promise of Abraham. As we who have accepted the promise by faith, we now turn and speak into the lives of those who You know are ready to receive the light of Your love for them through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

I shout to the darkness, you must give way to the place of the light of the salvation of the Lord, darkness, you must bow your dark head and confess Jesus as Lord and kings of Kings. DARK SPIRIT, YOU MUST GIVE UP YOUR CONTROL OF THIS CALLED OUT NATION, BECAUSE JESUS HAS DEFEATED YOU AT THE CROSS AND TO HIM YOU MUST SUMMIT!!!!!!!!! In Jesus name. Amen

Father, we agree and ask for favor with the Iraqi people for our brave soldiers. As they experience acts of kindness from them such as this child being helped with his shoes, as they see in our soldiers the commraderie between them, the bonds, the respect shown to others may they long to have that in their lives. Our soldiers can be in battle one minute against the terrorists and turn around and help someone in need the next minute. Help the word to spread of their character, their integrity, their longing to help the Iraqi people achieve peace and status of a democratic nation. Protect our soldiers, Father, and protect those they serve who long for a time when they can walk their streets without fear, as they are starting to achieve this in some cities in Iraq. For that we praise You, Lord! And bring these requests in Jesus name. Amen and Amen.

Father, In Jesus Name . I ask You Lord, for unity. I declare Psalm 133 over our soldiers and the Iraqi people. How good it is, how pleasant, where the people dwell as one! Like precious ointment on the head , running down the beard of Aaron, upon the collar of his robe. Like the dew of Hermon coming down upon the mountains of Zion. There The Lord has lavished blessings, life foe evermore. Thank you , Lord for unity In The Spirit -In the bond of peace. We declare The Mind Of Christ, and that all their thoughts would be brought captive to the mind of Christ, -In Jesus Name
