8-Favor for the Police and the Troops

Scripture: “And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us…” -Psalm 90:17

Prayer: Father, we thank You that You are a God who hears and a God who cares. You hung all the stars in the sky and not one of them is missing. You know when we sit down and when we stand up, and nothing escapes Your notice.

soldier-helps-child.jpgJesus, we ask for Your help in granting our soldiers favor with the Iraqi people. Where there have been offenses, we ask for things to be repaired, and for trust to be restored and even increased. We ask that good deeds would not go unnoticed, and that those who are the recipients will tell many others the story of the goodness that was shown to them.

Lord, let the bonds of trust and partnership increase through favor with the Iraqi people. We ask for an atmosphere of goodwill to come down and favor that promotes partnership for a free Iraq. We ask for Your divine help, in Jesus name. Amen.

Father we ask you to protect and guide our military. Keep them safe from the enemy and from other things like the heat that makes their jobs so difficult. Send angles to guard over them. Help their families, to be able to endure the loneliness that they go thru ,while their loved ones are away from home

. Bring them all home safe and well. They are our countries finest and we need to keep them in pray.

Father, thank you that we can come to you with the desires of our hearts. The desire of our heart today is for peace to come in Iraq. We also ask that you place in the heart of the Iraqi people to desire peace so much that they will stand up and take charge of their own country. We ask that they not stand by and let others secure their freedoms but that they be willing to call out the wicked and make them give account for their murders and deceits. We ask that you confound and confuse the wicked so that they can not communicate with each other. Let their wickedness be turned upon themselves. We ask this in the name of Jesus.

    Carrie Says:

Daddy, I pray unusual favor and blessing on our warriors and the police of Baghdad and all those seeking peace in the region. Strengthen the police and military forces so they can take peaceful charge of their own country. Forgive us, Lord, for the denominational and political lines we have drawn, forgive us for the apathy and the blind eye we’ve turned to Your people, the sins in our own lives and the cries for help from a lost and dying world. Strengthen us to stand in the gap for these people and for our warriors. We praise and bless Your holy name, and we wait with expectancy for the miracles and victories You are bringing. We thank You for the lives that will be spared today, for the evil plans that will be uncovered today, and for the hearts that will be turned to You today. We thank You for the encouragement, provision, and peace You will bring the troops, police, and citizens today. Daddy, we ask all these things in Your precious son’s name, Jesus, and for His sake not ours.

    Rock On & Amen!

    Heavenly Father,
Let fear have no hold on the people in Baghdad. Let nothing be done out of fear, but out of love. Let no fear be the motivator of any acts of our troops. Let every act be motivated by brotherly love. Let the spiritual confidence in every heart rise up and smother fear with unselfishness, kindness, compassion and forgiveness. Help us, those who humbly pray for Baghdad, to see your law of progress at work in every avenue of endeavor. In the comfort of the citizens and soldiers, in the dependable supply of electricity and water, in the ability of the people and our soldiers to safely do their work for the glory of God. Let apathy be annihilated by hope. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Oh Lord our God, how I thank you for this day even if its hot for this is the day you created and spoken forth. May Your blessings be upon this day, and upon our soldiers. Help them to endure the heat their in Iraq. Grant them favor and give them your wisdom and understanding. Lord as you say in PSALM 30:5 “Your anger lasts for a moment, but your FAVOR LASTS A LIFETIME! Even if there is weeping during the night hours, YOU FATHER WILL BRING joy in the morning”

Father I come before you now and ask that You would grant to our soldiers favor with the Iraq people. That You would REPAIR THE OFFENSES(like no one else can) and trust to be RESTORED AND INCREASED by You. May ALL THE GOOD DEEDS DONE BY OUR SOLDIERS not go unnoticed. Allow all of the receiptents of our good deeds go and tell the other Iraqi’s of the goodness that was shown to them. Lord our God, the God of Abraham, may the blessing of Abraham be upon the people there in Iraq. May trust and partnership increase through favor with the Iraqi’s. Father, there is one more thing, may You grant an ATMOSPHERE OF GOODWILL and FAVOR that promotes partnership for a FREE IRAQ. In Jesus name, I say amen to all these prayers. Our prayers go up to You Father God,Who is all powerful. Please let Your protective hand be upon Baghdad and all cities throughout the world – raise Your hand against the terrorists and hoodlums of the world, stopping all their evil plots. Please strengthen our troops & the good police & peace keepers of the world. Give them a big peace. It is not a huge task for You, but it is too big for mere man, no matter how powerful one or one nation may be. Let out leaders humble themselves b/4 You & obey Your direction. I also pray for the best training for all peace keepers, civil & military. On the other hand, thrawt the training & evil plans of the enemy.

I pray that You would help our nation to truly be one nation under God. amen – come Lord Jesus

    carole Says:

Father God, our servicemen and women who are in Iraq and surrounding areas face daily trauma beyond what we can imagine in our comfortable homes. We complain of the heat, yet they must not only endure hot temperatures, but heavily clothed, and facing the bitterness and opposition of the enemy. Grant them your peace, Father, and give them the strength they need to endure. May your children among them be salt and light in a dark, dark world, so that others can read their lives as if it were your word.

We’ve seen reports of good things happening in Baghdad, Lord, and we give you the praise. Help us to be faithful to continue praying, even when the obvious advances for your kingdom may appear small. We know that your ways and your timing are perfect. Grant favor to our soldiers among the people. Open their eyes to the true mission, and cause them to be cooperative in routing the enemy forces, so peace can return to this area. In your time, Lord, and in your way, restore peace – and grant eternal peace – to these people, for whom you died.

    Through Jesus my Lord,

    Joan Bowe Says:

Holy One, I stand in agreement with today’s prayer. Please grant favor to the Iraqi police and our troops over them. Bring a unity in purpose that is favorable in Your eyes. Lord, Your Word says that a house divided cannot stand. We have heard so much negative being said about our soldiers being there yet I have seen pictures, heard stories from those coming home from this land, those who understood the need for someone to be there to bring liberty to the people. While we pray for the Iraqi people to be freed from tyranny we know that true freedom comes from Christ Jesus. Help these people to know who Your Son is, not just as a prophet but as their Redeemer, in His name we pray. So Lord, both in the natural and in the spirit realm, please help these precious Iraqi people and our soldiers to form a bond that is not easily broken. In Jesus’name let it be so to Your glory and honor. Amen.

    Laura Says:

Father we thank You for caring about the small things in our lives. There are so many BIG things too that need to be done in Iraq. Oh Father we sit and hear so much and pray that YOU ALONE intervene in a mighty way or even a small way that people will know YOUR HAND, YOUR VOICE and YOUR LOVE for them.

Thank you for the service people and for those who serve in the military but for the many who do that and SERVE YOU – spread Your GOODWILL Lord in this place.

    In Jesus Name we pray
