15-Thwart the plans of the wicked

Scripture: “The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.” – Psalm 9:16

Prayer: Lord, You are God and there is no other; You reign in the heavens, and nothing escapes Your notice. You are a God of justice, and Your ear is open to the cry of the righteous.

suicide_bomber1.jpgWe ask that You would oppose those who hate peace in Baghdad. Send Your angels to resist those who love violence, and thwart the plans of the wicked. Disallow destructive schemes and devices. Bring confusion, doubt, and fear into the hearts and minds of those who are planning evil in Baghdad today. Cause the bombs planted by terrorists to misfire today, and bring no harm to the innocent.

Even as Your word says, “the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands,” let those who promote fear and confusion in Baghdad today, be ensnared by the work of their own hands.

We thank You Lord, that nothing is too difficult for You, and we agree together for victory. In Jesus name, amen.

Dear Father you know the hearts of men and you know their thoughts. I pray that those who are planning to do evil acts against the innocent may meet with confusion upset their plans Lord I pray. You are the great I AM and we put our hope and trust in you. We praise you for who you are and give thanks for your many blessings. Bless now the troops and police in Iraq and give them wisdom as they go out today. Protect them and continue to restore the peace in Iraq. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

    Jean Says:

Loving Heavenly Father, help us, who love peace, to be first in promoting peaceful relations and solutions to difficulties. I pray for great wisdom among us, especially for our leaders, who must respond to those who purposely endeavor to upset the peace of nations in hopes of gaining some advantage or authority. Please especially help the Christian leaders among us who might be influencing the attitudes of others to not look at the violent activities simplistically, but seek to understand the attitudes and beliefs that have brought individuals to that place of choosing violence, murder and mayhem as a way to achieve their goals. I pray that in Iraq those who promote violence and especially those who try to incite others to take up violent means, would be exposed. I pray that their destructive messages would be rejected by the Iraqi people, and especially that the young people would not be lured into acts of violence and harm to others because of the incitement of some boldly speaking but false teacher. May we all remember to handle peace with prayer, because it is fragile, and to recognize that as our Lord said, “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the sons of God,” He was saying that based on the message He had already given, that peacemakers are pure in heart, merciful, meek, those who love what is right and mourners over the sin that destroys us and our peace. Help us who Name Your Name to seek truth, discernment and holiness without which no one can see God so that we might be a people who truly promote lasting peace on earth. May we remember that the second greatest commandment is to love our neighbour as ourself. Love seeks to understand the other and to consider his or her outlook and needs. Help us to do that in order that Your will might be done on earth. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

    Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

Thank You that the troops in Iraq were blessed with a visit from President George W. Bush, Commander-in-Chief, to lift up their spirits at this special time of the year when they especially need recognition for the sacrifices they are making. Thank You that we have had a President who thinks highly of those in uniform and expresses to them his care and affection for them in numerous ways. Lord, it seems You gave him a heart for the military and I pray that all those who have seen him while they are on duty in Iraq will feel in some way a lift of their spirit. Lord, I pray thank You for the many ways You have thwarted the plans of the wicked in Iraq. You have saved many lives by Your action as a shield and as a supernatural protector. I pray You will continue to look after all the beloved family members who are there and would like to be here for the holidays. Keep Your hand of protection over each one. I pray through Jesus, Amen

    Betsy P. McAllister Says:

Father, Most High, You have so ordained that we, Your people, take part in enforcing the victory which your Son won for us on the cross and by His death, burial, and resurrection. How GREAT You are! There is no other God like You.

By our prayers, we push back the enemy, push back the enemy, push back the enemy! We command the enemy of life and liberty to fall back as though the Lord Jesus were standing before him saying, “I AM!” as the Lord did before those who would capture Him in the Garden of Gethsemane.

We command the enemy and all of his henchmen to bow before the name of Jesus and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father!
May they cringe and fade away into oblivion, while the prey is released into everlasting life.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen.

    Sharon W. Says:

Father, you are the creator of the heavens and earth and your blessings to us are beyond measure. There are no words to describe your goodness to us. We bring before your throne again today, the soldiers who are stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan and for the people of these countries. As we in America are celebrating the birth of Jesus, the people of Iraq and Afghanistan still live in darkness away from the light of your Son. We ask that you give the Christians who are still in these countries boldness to speak to those who don’t know you. We ask that you save the Christians from persecution and death so they can tell others about you. We ask again that you send the love of Christ to the hearts and minds of these people so they can have perfect peace that only comes from knowing you. In the name of Jesus, I pray.

    Mary T Says:

Thank You Father that Your arm is not shortened and that nothing is too difficult for You (Num 11:23, Jere. 32:17). Please send your warrior angels to do battle with the powers of darkness that brood over the whole middle east, esp. Baghdad and Kabul. Defend the defenseless and protect the protectors. Most of all, Lord, be glorified. May all praise for the good things that are happening be laid at Your feet.

    Psalm 141
    8 But my eyes are fixed on you, O Sovereign LORD;
in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death.

9 Keep me from the snares they have laid for me,
from the traps set by evildoers.

10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
while I pass by in safety.

May you use what was meant for evil, and turn it to good. We pray that you would restore respect to our President and for our country in the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. Lord, you are God and there is none besides you. May the whole world know you are God. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

You are all Powerful and all Knowing; You recognize the plans and potential of the enemy of Your children,( in Baghdad ) even before they are made known.
Thank You Lord that You have given us the Power in Jesus name, to bind up the power of wickedness, and to put it under our feet, because we are believers.
Lord, I come before You with a humble heart, and ask You FATHER to expose all enemies in Baghdad, and to bind up their powers in Jesus name.
Thank You again Lord, for being merciful to us and by answering our prayers, even though we don’t deserve Your goodness.
Because according, to Your Word; “we call those things that be not, as though they were, in Jesus name” Arrest the works of the wicked!
And to You be given all Glory and Honour,
    Amen and Amen

    Cathy from Wyoming Says:

Abba Father, thank you for your protection for those who are
working for peace and freedom. Guide the leaders to strive for unity in doing the right thing. Put a hedge of protection around the police, our military and those working to spread your word.
May your justice work in the hearts of all.
    In Jesus precious name, AMEN!

  18. 390
    Lynn Says:

Father, as they showed the video yesterday where the Iraqi reporter threw his shoes at President Bush in Baghdad, I thought how fortunate the reporter is that he can now voice his opinion due to the efforts of our military heroes and the coalition forces. They have helped to bring about freedoms in their country that have not been afforded before. Those who would plan bombings and other violence are missing the boat also. They could have a free democratic society if they opened their hearts and minds to the idea that all should be able to live in peace. Jesus, You came to bring freedom, joy and hope. You can break through their way of thinking through Your Holy Spirit. We ask for that now, Lord. And that all plans of evil would be thwarted from the beginning. Make them to fail, and peace to win. In Your holy name I pray. Amen and Amen.

  19. 389
    Mary T Says:

As it is now Sunday morning in Iraq, Lord speak through the chaplains. May they preach the Word in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. May You prepare hearts. Father, you promised in Ezekiel that you would give your people hearts of flesh instead of stone — that You would write Your commandments on our hearts. We cannot change ourselves Lord. And Muqtada al-Sadr cannot change his heart. Only You can change a heart Lord. In Your mercy, work a miracle that will astound the nations. Change Muqtada al-Sadr’s heart, Lord. May he turn from darkness into the light, and even as Saul became Paul, may Muqtada al-Sadr proclaim Your glory. Be exalted Lord!

    Jan Says:

Heavenly Father, we come to you with grateful hearts for what you are doing to help our Troops build a strong democracy in Iran and Afghanistan,
we lift up the people of these countries for your
guidance, asking you to lead them to Jesus. Fill their hearts and minds with peace, joy and desire
to help support our Troops, their police and military to work toward peaceful lives. We bind and rebuke all and any demonic evil attacks designed against our men and women, and the people
of these countries in the name of Jesus Christ by
the authority and power given to us through you word by Jesus and claim your word that no weapon formed against our Men and Women will prosper, and
ask it to be turned back against those who do evil
in Jesus name. Let the peace of Jesus, wisdom and
discernment from the Holy Spirit be with each one
of our Troops, and we ask you to send forth your
Angels to surround them with a hedge of safety to
keep them safe in Jesus Name. Amen

    Jean Says:

Great and Mighty, Gracious and Glorious Heavenly Father, I am so grateful that we can call upon You and You hear and answer our prayers! (and I am humbled and in awe of Your grace to respond to us when we trust in You.) May Your fame and Your glory shine forth in all the world today, convicting sinners and comforting those who seek after righteousness. Heavenly Father I pray that any who plot violence and destruction in Iraq today will be deeply convicted of the sin of following in the ways of Cain, who murdered his brother. May they suddenly realize that pursuing violent ways is completely harmful to their souls and that for them to take matters into their own hands to force a situation according to their own purposes is abhorrent in Your eyes. I especially pray that You will not allow anyone, especially any young person, to be deceived by those who promote and counsel violent ways as a means to an end. May the teachings and leadership of those who promote violence be exposed according to the wickedness and evil that informs and motivates such individuals. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

  22. 386

In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen

Make Muqtada al-Sadr THIRSTY to seek God’s Word, the truth, and know without aadoubt that JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY to peace and salvation. Father God, in JESUS’ name stop ALL THE PLANS of al-Sadr and his supporters against our troops. Make all his plans null and void, his weapons to be malfunction, and complete confusion within his campsite. Give our soldiers, the Iraqi soldiers, strength and courage they need. Help them to receive YOUR Wisdom and knowledge Father. Give them dreams or visions to know where al-Sadr and the insurgents are hiding along with their weapons. Pour forth BLESSINGS UPON our soldiers and give them FAVOR FOR THEIR VALOR in fighting for freedom in Iraq. Lord God Almighty, BLESS, the Iraqi’s with YOUR PRESENCE AND GLORY for in your Word you tell us that “Your Glory fills all the earth”, therefore, open their eyes that they could see it be at awe of your power, and never deny that you are with them and love them with all your heart. I pray this now in the NAME OF JESUS and believe that “its done”, and that your Kingdom will reign in Iraq forever. Amen and Amen
