11-Reveal Jesus to Someone Today

Scripture: “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin, and righteousness, and judgment…” -John 16:8

Prayer: Father, we thank You that mercy triumphs over judgment. You are slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness, and are ready to show compassion to all who call upon You.

iraqi_woman-sad.jpgJesus, You see the many lives that are facing the tug of war between life and death. We ask that You would release your Holy Spirit to convict about eternal realities. According to Your promise, we ask that there would be a sudden awareness of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

We claim Your word that says that You do not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. Let it be so! Father, we ask that You would touch someone in Baghdad today with the revelation of Your son. Bring back to their memory the stories they have heard about Jesus; release an awareness of Christ’s presence; and let dreams and supernatural signs come down that confirm You are the Lord, and the Prince of Peace.

Break him or her free from the power of darkness. I bring them before Your great throne of mercy, and ask that the sacrifice of Jesus be laid to their account. I thank You that You decree them forgiven and free, just as You have for me. In Jesus name, amen.

Father, You are great and You do miracles so great. Your greatest miracle of all, from our finite perspective is the saving of a soul. We come in agreement with Your Word today, and with the intercessory prayer prompt, as well as with the prayers of our siblings in Christ. We ask that those souls that are ordained to come into Your Kingdom today will be reached with the Gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit, and receive Lord Jesus as their King of kings and Lord of lords. He died for them, purchased forgiveness of their sins and healing of their bodies. May His Blood be efficacious in someone’s life today, for we ask in His name, amen.

Help them to understand YOU alone are the One who created them and hold their lives and future in your hands. I bind the enemy who is the deceiver from interfering in this communion. Jesus, you are there for them and nothing can stop YOU. You have already defeated the enemy, even death itself has no sting for YOU have overcome the grave. God, I beg your mercy and your grace to help your creation to seek YOU and know YOU. YOU are the author and finisher of our faith. Call them unto You I pray that they may be saved. AMEN

Father, I do pray in agreement with the prayers of others. I ask for another Iraqi person to be brought from the darkness into light. May there be an awakening in this unlikely place. You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We know that Your kingdom will overtake the kingdoms of this world. I call it forth in Baghdad today that some dark and hopeless situation would be brought into the light in Jesus name. I shout grace, grace over the safety of the believers in Baghdad. let it be the dawn of a new day for them. Thank You Holy father.

Dear Lord God, our Heavenly Father, thank You that Your Holy Spirit is at work in the world today, convicting of sin and calling repentant sinners to believe in Your Son, the Lord Jesus, our Messiah. Hallelujah! May praises be given to You in every part of this needy world today! Thank You for new believers in Iraq and for the revival that began to take place in northern Iraq during the course of the war. May those believers become fully grounded in their faith and may they continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of God. I pray today, if You please Lord, that You would do it again. That You would make Yourself known to at least one needy individual in Iraq. May there be one more brand plucked from the fire. Lord, if it pleases You, may this be some very difficult person, that they might repent of the evil and harm they have been doing and have their lives turned around to doing good instead. I thank You that You are more than able to do this. I thank You for testimonies I have heard of how You have transformed violent and murderous individuals who are now serving You. May someone in Iraq who profoundly needs to trust in You do so today. In Jesus’ Magnificent and Healing Name. Amen.

Protect all your children there in Iraq and help them with the boldness of the Holy Spirit to speak forth your word and the love you have for them. Let them know YOU ALREADY PAID THE PRICE and that its there’s for free. Bless our soldiers that are standing by the Iraqis, and that they will have rest from above. Dear Father release the Iraq people from this conflict which they have been enduring for so very long. Send Your angels over this land and may one or many receive You as Lord of their lives. Then may that love spread and grow. Father I ask that no blood be shed today and in the weeks leading up and past the Christmas season. May the people there know that true meaning of Chtistmas even though it may be contrary to the way they worship. Stay the hand of any who are planning evil acts. May You rule and reighn over this land. I pray in Jesus name.Amen

Thank You Father for allowing me to pray to You for Iraq. Lord of life, I praise Your holy name. How much we all need You and thank You for honoring us with Your great love! I come before Your glorious throne of grace to ask that You would speak so clearly to someone in Iraq today. How blessed is Your light and truth! Thank You for not hiding Yourself from us. Thank You for showing us how great and beautiful You are and then blessing us as we open our hearts to You, most gracious Lord. I pray that this person would receive Your Word and that Your Holy Spirit would open his/her heart to it fully for Thy glory, Jesus. Then, I ask Lord that this blessed person would just want as many people as possible to hear Your Word as well. May his/her heart sing with Your glorious truth and love and mercy! And may Your name be exalted throughout Iraq. In Jesus’ holy name I pray. Amen.

    Jean Says:

Praises belong to You, Dear Lord Jesus! May at least one person in Iraq come to the realization of Who You really are today. May that person be found willing to repent of their sin and to embrace You as Savior and Lord from this time forward. Thank You so much for the news of all in Iraq who have already found You and begun their walk of faith with You. Please keep them safe and send teachers who can help them get established in what they believe and how they might best serve and respresent You. I also pray for the long-time traditional Assyrian believers who have been under seige throughout the war, and even more at this time. Please have mercy on them. Please give extraordinary strength and wisdom to any who have counted to the cost and decided to remain in their homes in Iraq to represent You in that nation. May the plans and designs to annihilate these people come to nothing, and may those plans be very quickly proved to be based on lies, grudges and prejudice. May the people who have promoted them be exposed and required to give account for the cruel and inflamatory words they have uttered. May Your Name be lifted up in Iraq and in all the world, Dear Lord. May it be lifted higher. In Your Holy and True Name. Amen.

Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his live loses it; and he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall My servant also be; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him….And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.” (John 12:24-25;32)

    Dottie Says:

Dear Father make Yourself known to the people in Iraq especially the city of Baghdad. May those who know You speak out and witness to others. We do not have to do anything for You because You did everything for us as You took our sins upon You on the cross. Help us to understand how much You love all of your children here and abroad. Father as the leaders in Iraq try to come to agreement on who will lead and how thay will go forward give them wisdom from on high. They, we need You more than ever as we go through hard times. Lead us Father I pray in Your son Jesus name. Amen.

    Faye Says:

Father I praise Your Holy Name. The picture of that woman is heartbreaking. She looks so desolate. Please have someone tell her and others just like her about Jesus. She and others need to know that there is Hope in Jesus. I pray for the Christians in Baghdad spreading the Word of Your Son, Jesus. I pray that You will keep them safe from harm.
In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen

    Dear Father:
I ask for conviction from Your Holy Spirit to fall upon Muqtada-al-Sadr today whereever he is residing. Convict him of his evil desires and make him a new creation in Jesus Christ. Turn him to You, then use him to turn the people of Iraq to You. Through Your Spirit help him to let go of bitterness, hatred, and ethnic hostility. Transform Muqtada al-Sadr as You did Saul of Tarsus. Make him a trusted leader and peace maker with the Iraqi people’s best interest in mind instead of his own.

I also ask for Your sovereign care for my Iraqi brothers and sisters who are under persecution. Keep them faithful and strong witnesses for You. Make their lights blinding to their persecutors. May their behavior bring many into the Kingdom of Your Son.

Bless Nouri al-Maliki as he again tries to govern the people of Iraq. Give him and his advisors Your wisdom from above and establish a stable government in Iraq.

Thank You for hearing and answering these prayers for the people of Iraq so that they might live a peaceful and quiet life that is pleasing to you and bring others into Your eternal kingdom.

In Jesus name and for His glory I pray, AMEN

    Betsy P. Says:

“Lord, you are more precious than silver! Lord, You are more costly than gold. Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds….nothing I desire compares with You.” I ask, Lord, that You would give the people of Baghdad, Mansur, and all of Iraq an outpouring of Your Holy Spirit that softens hearts and prepares the “soil” for the seed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to find good ground in which to grow roots downward and bear fruit upward. Let the leaders and the troublemakers be some of the first to receive Your Spirit so that they can influence others to come to You. Guard and keep the innocent and the soldiers who are trying to protect them. Guard and keep the Body of Christ in Iraq. We stand with them in prayer, asking You to send the help from the sanctuary and strengthen them out of Zion, in Jesus name, amen.

  17. 685
    Luann Beasley Says:

Precious Jesus, thank You for dying for all and wanting all of Your children to come to You! Lord, please open the heart of one person today to receive Your Holy Spirit. I pray that person would share Your goodness with hundreds of people. May Your name be exalted in Iraq as You so deserve! In Jesus’ holy name. Amen.

Father, Today we remember all those who are presently serving or have served our country in defending others against evil. Bless them and honor them today as your servants who are doing and have done a selfless thing in offering up their own lives for others.
I pray for the people of Baghdad. Lord turn the tide for good. Bring the trouble makers under your hand and deliver the innocent from further persecutions and deaths. Guard our soldiers and let them know we are praying for them. We honor them for their bravery and we know they go with you in portecting those innocent ones.
Jesus, bring all things in Bagdad under your control. Let these people know freedom and live in peace we pray. AMEN

Bring down the enemy forces that are still operating in Iraq. Set the people free to know Jesus, and vindicate and reward our soldiers for all they have sacrificed for Iraq, for Afghanistan, and for the United States. Bless our veterans and their families, Father, in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Reveal Jesus to many heads of households and leaders of ethnic groups there so that they share with their families and communities. I pray also that Christians reach and disciple the large number of Iraqis that have migrated to Michigan, Lord. Let this be the time that a large number of Iraqis are ushered into Your Kingdom.

Make them unreachable, shield Your people oh Lord. Help the church to stand against persecution of the saints. Forgive us, we have turned a blind eye to the reality of the persecuted church. We have looked the other way from investing meaningfully to missions, we have become comfortable in our local churches. Let Your Spirit stir in us the heart to GO.
