10-Protection for the Troops and Police

Scripture: “Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble. The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.” -Psalm 41:1-2 (NIV)

Prayer: God of power and might, there is no one who can challenge Your power or authority. You are the King of all creation.

I bring before You the troops and police serving in Baghdad today. They are there to protect the weak and the helpless. According to Your word, I call forth the protection they need today.

Deliver them from death and let the plans of those who hate peace fail, and their bullets fall to the ground. Most High God, we ask for You to defend those who defend the weak — surround them with Your favor as a shield. May Your angels guard them and lead them out of the snares of the wicked.

Dear Lord: Give our US Soldiers peaceful rest at night and dreams and visions of warnings so they can count on You for help. Lord Father God, Your Word to Elisha was that there were more for the armies of Israel, than there were against them, because Your invisible, angelic armies were present. We know by Your Word, also, that no weapon formed against Your beloved will prosper. We know by Your Word that we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. And that is why we put on the armor of God and stand. Cause our soldiers, and their families at home, to do the same. And may they find that You are with them, so they may boldly say, “The Lord is my Helper. I will not fear what man can do unto me!” In Jesus name, Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of hosts, I ask this, amen.

    Mary T. Says:

Dear Lord: Please let us hear more hero stories of how America’s very Best – our US Soldiers – are helping each other and the weak and defenselss. I’ve seen pictures, more than one, of our US Soldiers holding injured children….not that they injured but that those that held them hostage to protect themselves in Harms way…..and the evil men should have removed them far from the war zone, but oh no they actually plant these innocent children for our men in uniform to hurt accidentally so that the media will revile them and they will lose support for their humanitarian efforts. The war is fought on two battlefields, one the country at war itself and the other in the media. Our men in Uniform don’t need to fight the media. They are fully engaged where they are. We need to send them prayer support because the times we live in are full of people who do these things. We pray for the protection of our US SOldiers on the battlefield from the Media and also the innocents caught in the crossfire of a war zone. God be merciful to us all. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.

    Elizabeth Lohse Says:

    Heavenly Father,

I simply ask Your hand of protection surround each and every one in or out of uniform that is standing between the people of Iraq and those who would do them harm. Father, You alone can be the shield and stronghold for innocient and vunerable people. Thank you for your strength that has shielded them in the past…..thank you for your patience and forebearance that keeps You there still, protecting and Loving and granting repentence to all that come to You. I pray You would grant repentance today to the people of Iraq, that this country would be a stronghold for You rather than evil. Thank you for Your answers everyday to these petitions. Thank you for loving me and all of us.

In Your precious Name I pray,

    Beth

Heavenly Father, I pray in agreement with all of Your children who are praying uprightly for the protection and safety of all or our troops and true allies. Continue to be a strong force-field of protection for our troops and true allies. Let not hair on their heads be touched or harmed in any way. In Jesus name I pray and cover them daily mind, body and soul with the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen

    Betsy P. Says:

Lord Father God, You are omniscient. You know all about the real reason that our troops have been and are in Afghanistan. I ask that You prevent out leaders from pulling our troops out of that nation until every plan and purpose that You have ordained to be accomplished through them is complete. Many people have been protected by the presence of our troops. Who will protect them when our military is gone?
Father, I ask that You would cause Your hovering angels to protect our soldiers (and their families at home), as well as the precious souls who call Afghanistan their home. You only, Your Word says, are their Rock, their Salvation, their Defense and their Fortress. We bless You for blessing us so that You guard our going out and our coming in. We pray in the name of Your Son Who gave His life for the world, amen.

Father, I ask that you would put your arms of protection around the police and soldiers that are in Bagdad, doing what they are required to do; protect the people living there. I pray that you will meet those that are endeavoring to cause trouble even before they reach the places they are thinking of going to. Stop them, putting other thoughts in their minds. May they feel opposition, as it comes from you.

Father, I join my siblings in Christ in asking You to protect the troops and police in Baghdad, Adhamiya, and all over Iraq. Compass them about with favor as a shield. Enfold them in Your strong, invincible arms. Hallelujah! You are God, and You love each one in this nation. Draw hearts to You so that each one may have eternal protection in Your Son Jesus, our Savior. Surprise even the most recalcitrant soul with Your deep and abiding love.
