6-Protect the Innocent Civilians

Scripture: “Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” -Psalm 82:4

Prayer: Lord, Your name is high above every name that has ever been named. You are exalted high above every created thing, and You rule the universe from Your throne on High.

baghdad_children.jpgYou are a Father to the fatherless, and You watch over the poor and needy. Lord, we ask that You would hear the cries of the people of Baghdad and deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Protect them during this time of uncertainty and rebuilding.

Surround them with Your favor as a shield and keep them safe. Give our troops great compassion and vigilance to keep the families of Baghdad from harm.

Lord, Your heart is near to the widow and the orphan; hear the cries of the oppressed and come to their aid. Break the yoke of violence that rules in that city, and set the people free from fear. Judge the wicked for oppressing the innocent, and deliver the weak out of their hands. In Jesus name, Amen.

    Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

Your mighty hands are full of blessings and You wait for some believer to call out to You on behalf of others to release blessings. So we call out to You today for the innocent civilians in Baghdad that You would protect them from all forms of violence that may be unleashed in their direction from their enemies who are also Your enemies. You are the creator of the family unit and I pray that You would apply the glue to keep families sticking together whether they are large or small groups or just the remainder of what use to be a complete family that has been struck by the violence. Let Jesus reign in the hearts of the inhabitants of Baghdad. Let the peace of Jesus restrain any who are prone to violent acts. Bless the needy there, the orphans and widows in an astonishing way that could only be a blessing from the almighty hands of God. I praise You for what You accomplish in Baghdad and Iraq this day. Through Jesus, Amen

My Father In Heaven, Holy, Holy is your Name! I pray Mercy, Mercy, Lord send mercy on the wings of Your Love. Surround the widows, fatherless, precious children, innocent lives being ravaged by an enemy, you devil, who has no reguard for any one.

You devil are defeated! You are waging your final bout! For Our God is a mighty God, you cannot remain or prevail, In Jesus name!

    Lord Your Word says…
“Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” -Psalm 82:4
Ps 78:4 -We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD. We will tell of his power and the mighty miracles he did.
Ps 72:4 – Help him to defend the poor, to rescue the children of the needy, and to crush their oppressors.

Lord, Give our troops the heart of compassion, allow them to be the hand extended, to those they find in need. Place a Love that comes from You in there hearts, towards those in Iraq. I in prayer come against bitterness, mistrust, fear. Lord use our troops, protect them as they do Your bidding. Lord I know in my spirit that if we win the hearts of the young, innocent, widows, fatherless in Iraq…we will defeat the devil over there lives. There is victory in Jesus, for He came for You and Me…. Iraq and Afghanistan.

    Faye Says:

Father I praise Your Holy Name and I am coming today to ask for some peace in the lives of the orphans. Just looking at the picture tears at my heart; such dejected faces and sorrow in their eyes. Father, please, if it is Your Will, let them have a better day tomorrow. Let them be uplifted by the love of others. No one can ever take their biological father’s place, but they can give them all of the love they can.
I pray this in Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name.

    Tim Oman Says:

I praise you O Lord for the work you are doing for these people. May the light of your Love continue to burn brighter each day in this land that has been too long under the darkness of the likes of the “Prince of Persia” who fought the archangel taking the vision to Daniel years ago. We realize that with your help and only with your help can this battle be won. We fight not only against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places. Lord we ask that you rebuke the evil that wishes to remain in control of this region and protect those troops that seek to help the helpless and innocent, the widows and defenseless. These are those that you yourself have said you are their protector. So bless all who serve to do this work with you. Keep them safe each one, Iraqi, American or any other person that works in this conflict and most of all draw their hearts closer to you in that comfort and peace that passes all our understanding. Praise the name of Jesus for wonderful and great things he has done and will continue to do. May your Holy Spirit reveal Christ and open eyes too long blinded by the spiritual darkness of oppression. I thank you Lord and Praise your holy name. The name above all names and the only one by which we may be saved. Tim O.

    Jean Says:

Dear Father in Heaven, how great You are, dwelling in a high and holy place, and also with the person who is of a humble and contrite heart. Dear Lord Jesus, Your precious Word tells of so many instances in which You revealed Yourself with mercy to the needy ones of this world, and I know You are the same today as in those days. You have invited the needy to come to You (Matthew 11:28-29), and declared Yourself to be meek and lowly of heart. Yet You are awesome in holiness. I know that the needy ones this world are very near to Your heart, and I know that You are willing to help. Indeed, I believe You are helping. May those ones be aware of Your presence and of Your kindness and help to them today. Please keep them from every form of doubt and despair, and may their troubles today be the means of helping them to rest in You and to trust in You. May they soon see what great things You will do for them. In Your own Precious Name I pray. Amen.

    Lily Says:

    Dear Father;
It is with humbleness and thanksgiving that I come before you this day! I thank you that men and women who are not in the military, the civillians are willing to risk their lives for the sake of Demonstrating Democracy in the Middle East. Particularly in Baghdad Lord, I pray a special protection for each of them.
I pray a hedge of protection around each one twenty-four hours each day. I pray You give each one Godly wisdom as when to move, and when to stay still!. I pray discernments for each one.Psalms 91 verses 1-2 declares:
    1. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
    2. I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge and my Fortress:my God; in Him will I trust.

    dolores kulik Says:

Bless the people of Shula today, Lord. Protect the widows and their children and keep them from harm; for they are innocent of all this caos in Baghdad. Father, I thank You that You are no respector of persons and hear our prayers, thank You for keeping our troops, allies, women, children, seniors and those that are sick and tired of this war, keep them under the feathers of your wings with the protection of Jesus blood and in His Name. Amen

Judith Connell, Greenbank, On., Canada Says:

Everyone of us dialogue with the Creator, Lord, in our own way. We come boldly with our thoughts, including poetry which is so uplifting and reminds me of David playing on his harp to soothe Saul’s anger. We should stop once in awhile to thank our other prayer travellers for the wonderful boost we give one another.
Bagdhad, Kenya, Jerusalem, Darfur, China, Afghanistan and so many other places are suffering from Muslim vs. Christian undertones and I ask the Lord to intercede for these widows and orphans who are caught in the middle. How these innocent ones deal with the fear and death is beyond me. This is where the death of children is so stark. Where life is so valueless. But You, Lord are glad to welcome them back into Your Paradise and for that we all can be so thankful.

    Nancy Says:

O Lord, You are God of Rock and Shield. We pray that you save the innocents of Bagdad from being wounded, killed and destroyed. We pray for relief for those oppressed children and the families that have lost their loved ones. O God, let Your will be done and bring an end to the violence in Bagdad. We come to You with great needs that only You can handle this situation. Send forth your angels to guard around them that no weapon of any kind be able to prosper against them. O Lord, hear their cry of help and make Your ways for them to escape as You are God Almighty who is more than able to do all that is asked and needed. You are Loving Father who cares and concern for the children. Lord you are the only one that can bring true judgment and justice upon the terrorist. Holy Spirit and Heavenly Father, soften their hearts and bring them to their knees with a broken spirit and contrite heart that beg for your mercy and forgiveness. In Jesus name we claim the Blood of Jesus over all your children in Bagdad and claim His love will empower and embrace them at this time. Thank You Jesus for Your miraculous power that You are going to do unto them.

    Judy from Ohio Says:

    The Walk

Last night I dreamed that Jesus walked
    Down Baghdad’s troubled streets.
His eyes were filled with sorrow.
For the suffering ’round his feet.

    He paused beside a soldier
    And lightly touched his head,
    Giving him some extra strength
For the tasks he had ahead.

    He came upon a mother
With a small child in her arms
He stood there to protect her,
From the dangers and the harm.

As he walked in that dusty way,
    He often stopped to pause,
And bring a bit of comfort
To those fighting for this cause.

    I heard a loud explosion
And when the air had cleared,
He was kneeling by a soldier
As he bent down to his ear.

My son your tour has ended.
I’m here to take you home.
I will now go with you.
    You will not be alone.

    Suddenly I was awake
    And made my vow anew,
    To keep on praying daily.
It’s the least that I can do.
Lord, I know that your heart is turned toward the peoples of Baghdad. My continued prayer is that our soldiers will be safe. Thank you for your grace and mercy

Luke 1:17 “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” Prepare your people for your coming Lord Jesus. Send Elijahs to speak of your marvelous works. I pray for many signs, wonders, and miracles for the Iraqi people, the widows, the orphans Lord, during this season when we celebrate your birth. I pray that you would do the same for our soldiers Lord, that they may see your glory coming down. In Jesus Mighty Name. AMEN!

Dear Father in Heaven, I so thank You that we can bring all things to You in prayer and You never turn us away. Please be honored in Baghdad today. I thank You for today’s prayer prompt that speaks to You of the needy and of the families in Baghdad. Please be their help and shield. I pray that foreign “insurgents” who have come in to that land to turn this into some kind of holy war will put down their arms and go home so that the people might be able to sort out among themselves the needs and issues of their nation. Thank you for everyone who has put their hand to the task of rebuilding and establishing stability. May those ones, be they Iraqi nationals or foreign troops, be strong in their tasks and able to accomplish well what needs to be done today. Please also watch over them for safety. Thank You, for You are so eternally kind. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your faithfulness to all of us (your children), your promises, love, and most of all your New Covenant. Father your OVER ALL LOVE FOR THE CHILDREN is beyond our thoughts. Give the children your protective hedge and keep them safe in your loving arms. Comfort them Lord with food and clothing. SUPPLY THEM FATHER WITH THEIR NEEDS IN THE NAME OF JESUS. Help them Lord to grow up in the love of Jesus and to be able to speak forth your Word. While they may be “poor” in this world make them “rich” in your Word and love. When they think they are “weak” make them “strong” for you are their strength, stong tower, and banner. Bless them Father and let them “SEE THEIR DESTINY AND PLANS” you created them to be before they were born.

LORD, be the Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Ralphe, and the Jehovah Rohe to our military forces there in Iraq and Afghanistan. Give them visions and dreams of your love for them and your plans and destiny for them. Give them peace of mind Lord, especially during this month and season of your birth. Pour forth your love upon them and all the people of the whole Middle East. In the name of Jesus I pray this and thank you for hearing all our prayers. May they come up to your throne in unity of love, and assign angels to answer all the prayer. Your Kingdom still reigns and grows everyday on earth. Amen and Amen
