6-Protect the Innocent Civilians

Scripture: “Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” -Psalm 82:4

Prayer: Lord, Your name is high above every name that has ever been named. You are exalted high above every created thing, and You rule the universe from Your throne on High.

baghdad_children.jpgYou are a Father to the fatherless, and You watch over the poor and needy. Lord, we ask that You would hear the cries of the people of Baghdad and deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Protect them during this time of uncertainty and rebuilding.

Surround them with Your favor as a shield and keep them safe. Give our troops great compassion and vigilance to keep the families of Baghdad from harm.

Lord, Your heart is near to the widow and the orphan; hear the cries of the oppressed and come to their aid. Break the yoke of violence that rules in that city, and set the people free from fear. Judge the wicked for oppressing the innocent, and deliver the weak out of their hands. In Jesus name, Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven, may Your will be done in Baghdad today. I agree and the Scriptures affirm that Your care is for the oppressed and needy of this world. I pray that those who are attempting to prolong the conflict and instability of Baghdad and the surrounding area will no longer be able to do so. May their hiding places be found out and may their attempts to disrupt fail. Give grace and wisdom to the troops as well as to the local police and help them to secure the many communities of Baghdad, for the sake of the children and the families of that area. Give courage to those families who have endured this prolonged struggle and please be a shield about them to protect them from harm. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, author of our salvation, blessed be Your holy name. Thank You for the precious gift of this day and the many blessings You generously shower Your loved ones with. Forgive us all Lord of our sins and debts and mistakes that are displeasing to You. Bless these children with provision to meet their individual needs. Send them the Champion, our Lord Jesus, to show them how to live a godly life that will be a testimony to Your limitless grace, love and mercy and create a lasting example that these children and their children’s children will remember always.

Lord, be with our men and women in uniform as they go about their daily routines in Iraq and around the globe. Anoint their footsteps, their thoughts and their actions so that they become shining examples of Your Truth and Love to all they encounter. Send Your heavenly hosts to defend them and keep them from all harm. Show our leaders at home and in all the governments involved, how to resolve this conflict in a godly way so our children came come home to their families. I trust and believe You have the perfect answer to all these problems and I ask that You release the blessings to answer all these prayers.

I claim the promise and victory of Jesus that whatever we ask in His holy name, You will provide for us according to Your perfect will. These things I ask and pray in the most precious holy name of our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Amen and amen Your brother in Christ – Jon Henry

Ps 9:18 For the needy will not be forgotten forever; the hopes of the poor will not always be crushed. Ps 10:12 Arise, O LORD! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not forget the helpless! 14b the helpless put their trush in you. You are the defender of orphans. 17. Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will listen to their cries and comfort them. 18. You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed; so people can no longer terrify them.

Oh Father! You are so loving, merciful, and full of Grace; let your light and love shine down now upon these innocent children and their parents. Hear they cries like your Word says, and bring forth comfort to them. May your peace be upon the land of Iraq and its people. May they know that you are there helping them in their fight for freedom. Give strength to the soldiers there in Iraq and Afghanistan. Be their strong tower and fortress. Give them peace of mind about their families and show them favor. May our soldiers and the Iraqi soldiers feel your awesome and powerful hand upon them, and may the Holy Spirit give them all your wisdom, and insight. OH! Holy Spirit lead those whom the Lord God is calling to Jesus His precious Son, and pour forth His love, mercy, peace, and meekness upon them. YOU REIGN FROM ON HIGH AND YOUR EYES NEVER FAIL TO SEE NOR YOUR EARS TO HEAR. YOU ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL. In the authority of Jesus’ name I ask this to be done.

I copied & pasted from Barbara Bartell’s comment on 5/6/07. I agree wholeheartedly. As I pray & agree with your daily email prayer, I feel that God honors all of our prayers prayed in agreement and in unity with your prayer.
Can’t we have a prayer army for America, also? I’d also sign up & pray each day.

“why can’t we have a prayer army in the same way, every day for the political situations in America?

I’d sign up and pray just like I have for Iraq.”

    Judy from Ohio Says:

Father, Bagdhad and it’s people are in such dire straits due to the hatered of wicked men. Place a hedge around the innocent women and children and especially to those of the household of faith. I ask that you would defeat the wicked ones who would war against their people in the name of a false God. As Elijah called down your fire from heaven to consume those who worship false gods may you send down your fire to bring relief to the people of Bagdhad. In Jesus’ name, Amen

    Sherrill Says:

Lord, we come to you today with love in our hearts for Your Word, especially Your Word spoken above in the prayer for Baghdad. Deliver that city from the hands of the oppressors, let them know Your faithful love and deliverance for them. Lord, station Your angels around each and every American soldier, male and female, all over the world, Iraqi police fighting for their country and freedom, those allied forces standing with us, and those Israeli troops and civilians fighting for peace and democracy. Hear us, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Thank You, Father, for the gathering of the saints in this place. Thank You for the agreement in prayer on the focal points presented. THank You that You eye is on the whole of Iraq, that YOU see the BIG picture and that YOU are the inspiration for the kind of prayer needed. Bless this man and his wife for listening intently to Your voice as they issue YOUR CALL to prayer for Baghdad and everything that is concerned regarding it. Let us, O LORD GOD, bless Your heart by agreeing with Your Word for the affairs of the people in such need of Your love and care.

“Lord, Your heart is near to the widow and the orphan; hear the cries of the oppressed and come to their aid. Break the yoke of violence that rules in that city, and set the people free from fear. Judge the wicked for oppressing the innocent, and deliver the weak out of their hands. In Jesus name, Amen”

Psalm 54 (As King David prayed)

1 Come with great power, O God, and rescue me!
    Defend me with your might.
2 O God, listen to my prayer.
    Pay attention to my plea.
    3 For strangers are attacking me;
violent men are trying to kill me.
    They care nothing for God.
4 But God is my helper.
The Lord is the one who keeps me alive!
5 May my enemies’ plans for evil be turned against them.
Do as you promised and put an end to them.
    6 I will sacrifice a voluntary offering to you;
I will praise your name, O Lord,
    for it is good.
7 For you will rescue me from my troubles
and help me to triumph over my enemies.

    Amie Bothwell Says:

[Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.-KJV]
[Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.-KJV]
[Ps 102:17 – He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.-KJV]
[Exodus 23:7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.-KJV]

We praise you as the all knowing, all wise, all powerful GOD of the universe, and we stand in the the authority that you have given us to decree a thing and command it to be established. We decree that you anoint our troops, allies, and friendly forces to supernaturally identify the innocent(good)from the wicked(bad)and the true from the false. We decree that our troops will not slay the innocent or the righteous, and we bind the wicked from falsely implicating our troops in doing so. We ask that you hear the prayers of our troops, allies, friendly forces, and the innocent civilians, and do not despise their prayers. We decree that you endow our forces and their leaders with wisdom and knowledge to uncover and avoid every false matter and the innocent civilians with wisdom to expose the wicked and not justify or participate in their deeds. We declare that you hasten your word to manifestedly perform it to your glory and honor alone in the matchless name and authority of Jesus Christ. Amen!
