7-Agreeing With Believers in Iraq

Scripture: “Bear one another’s burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.” -Gal 6:2

church.jpgPrayer: Dear Lord we thank you for your promise that where two or more are gathered in your name that you are there, and that you will answer the request that is being agreed upon. You are a promise keeping God, and you keep your word and manifest your faithfulness each and every day.

Right now we want to stand with our brothers and sisters in Iraq, and we want to ask for a wave of divine help as they begin to rebuild their nation. Extend your favor in a special way over your children, as they step forward to see your Presence and blessing be sown into the foundation stone.

Give them courage, to go and do and say; give them peace to wait and trust and persevere; give them strength and vision to bring about the patterns, plans and purposes of your heart in their land.

Thank you Lord, that when we approach your throne of grace, that you have promised to release your grace and mercy to help in time of need; shower Iraq with fresh rain, release healing winds and the dawn of new things. We declare that the earth is the Lord’s, and we bless the strategic nation of Iraq in Jesus name. amen.

Dear Father I pray for Iraq today. May You hover over this place that is so very fragile. I pray that peace can win out over all the evil forces that seem to continue to disrupt the peace that has been fought for. Father I call upon Your forces of good and love to overcome any enemy that is seeking to do harm to these Iraqi citizens. Protect them from the evil one and keep them in the hollow of Your hand. May peace and love flow like a river throughout this place. I pray in Jesus precious name. Amen

Our Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for today’s prayer example. I agree with these requests, Dear Lord, for help for the people of Iraq to rebuild, and urgently now, for them to be able to establish stability in their nation. I agree in praying for them to have courage, wisdom, perseverance and trust. Dear Father in Heaven, I want especially to pray for the believers in Iraq, that they would have full confidence in You, even if threatened and persecuted. May they be able to “be still and know” that You are God (Psalm 46:10). May they find extraordinary grace to hope in You, even when threatened with terror. Help them to trust You, Dear Lord, to obey You, and to make a lasting impact for good in Iraq today and in the coming days. May truth triumph over all else in that nation. May it be Your will that is done. In Jesus’ True and Faithful Name. Amen.

Father, we worship You for You are worthy! You alone are God and there is none other like You, no one above You and no one besides You. Throughout the centuries and throughout the universe You have made the fact that You are Possessor and Maker of all abundantly clear. No one has an excuse.
We lift up our brethren in Baghdad, Dawrah, and all Iraq today. They have been sorely persecuted, and we ask that You will shelter them. Give them hope, Lord. Give them shelter, food, water, clothing, schools and jobs. Cause them to know that they are the favored and highly blessed of the Lord. Make Your Presence and Power known to them.
May each one who has suffered the loss of a loved one through martyrdom, be comforted by the Holy Spirit in a way that only He can. Give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. To God be the glory for loving every one in every land, in Jesus name, amen.

    Heavenly Father,

Brothers and sisters in Christ within Iraq are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus. You see each instance of that happening, Abba, and I know You have strong feelings about the harm that is being done to Your children there. O Abba, please I pray for Your hand of blessing to shower them with protection and with supplies and love to exceed the hurt they have felt. Please let them know in some special way that they are cared about and prayed over by Christians in far away places. They are not forgotten by You and Yours. Thank You, Father God, for hearing the prayers of the believers, the followers of Jesus. He teaches us to love as You meant for us to love. Thank You, for all the good You have done again this day. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

Build them up in their courage and strength; fill them with unconditional love and forgiveness; knowing that it is not flesh and blood they are dealing with. Cause them to shine like the noon day sun and bring in a great harvest of souls. in Jesus’ name. amen

    Jean Says:

Praises are offered to You, our Dear Lord and Redeemer. Thank You for calling us to the minsitry of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, Iraq has seen so much trouble in the past few years. I pray that You would turn that around and enable the peace and the healing to begin. Please start with Your own people in that nation, Dear Lord. Help them to be the salt and the light they have been called to be. Even though some of them have been threatened and harrassed and seen their neighbours or loved ones killed for Your sake, help them to resist terror and instead to respond in the ways that will uttlerly destroy the attempts of evil to work murders and destruction. May the influence and impact of their lives have a profound affect on those around them, leading many to repentance and faith in God. May the mouths of liars who endeavor to stir up hatreds and evil be silenced, or thrown into confusion. May voices of wisdom and of reason prevail. May the terrorist be isolated, identified, and either incarcerated or driven from the nation. May evil be unable to organize to do destructive works. May Your people become deeply encouraged in You and motivated to overcome evil with good. May they be effective and have good success in doing so. May Iraq be healed and set right, for Your Name’s sake, and to Your glory. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

Father, I am grateful today that You are Sovereign, You are all present, You are all knowing, and You are all powerful. Our brethren in Christ in Baghdad, Mansur, all of Iraq need You so much. We remember them as though we were with them in their struggles. We weep with those who weep and rejoice with those you rejoice.
I pray Psalm 2o for our siblings in Iraq: “The Lord hear you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend you; send you help from the sanctuary and strengthen you out of Zion…remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice; grant you according to your own heart and fulfill all your counsel.” The psalmist continues: “We will rejoice in Your salvation, and in the name of the Lord we will lift up our banners. Some trust in chrariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of our god. They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen and stand upright!” In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I ask You Father to fulfill with Your hand what You have promised with Your mouth for our brethren, amen.
