7-Agreeing With Believers in Iraq

Scripture: “Bear one another’s burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.” -Gal 6:2

church.jpgPrayer: Dear Lord we thank you for your promise that where two or more are gathered in your name that you are there, and that you will answer the request that is being agreed upon. You are a promise keeping God, and you keep your word and manifest your faithfulness each and every day.

Right now we want to stand with our brothers and sisters in Iraq, and we want to ask for a wave of divine help as they begin to rebuild their nation. Extend your favor in a special way over your children, as they step forward to see your Presence and blessing be sown into the foundation stone.

Give them courage, to go and do and say; give them peace to wait and trust and persevere; give them strength and vision to bring about the patterns, plans and purposes of your heart in their land.

Thank you Lord, that when we approach your throne of grace, that you have promised to release your grace and mercy to help in time of need; shower Iraq with fresh rain, release healing winds and the dawn of new things. We declare that the earth is the Lord’s, and we bless the strategic nation of Iraq in Jesus name. amen.

    Lucy Tuck Says:

Dear Gracious Heavenly Father We ask that Your blood covering be over all the Christians and all innocent bystanders, in Mosul, in all of Iraq, and the outer regions as well. Oh God, may Your blood covering be over the troops as they deploy to Afghanistan and Pakistan border areas, away from the Iraq assignment, not to neglect praying for those still deployed there. Let it be declared that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, by God’s grace and mercy, and specific watchings and attendings by His ministers of fire, in Jesus Mighty name. He is the rock of our Salvation, He is the strength of our lives, their lives, amen.

    Dottie Says:

Dear Father I pray that the peace that has been won may continue without incident. May the people see how blessed it is to have this peace that it will spread all over Iraq. LOrd I pray for the ones who would disrupt this peace and would be filled with your Holy Spirit so that it would change their thought process for the good. Protect those who are the peacemakers and protect the leaders and give them wisdom from above. May your will be done there in Iraq as it is in heaven. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

    Betsy P. McAllister Says:

Father, rise up to the rescue of Your people, Your Body in Iraq, particularly in Mosul. We stand with our brethren there, and proclaim Your Word which declares that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, the gates of hell shall not prevail against them, and that You will raise up a standard against the enemy. All plots against Your Body will come to naught, and all help that You send against the enemy will triumph. For Your Son HAS triumphed over the evil ones openly upon His cross. We call for a witness of the blood of the Lamb, and for the effectual benefits of the finished work of the cross: the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We proclaim Life, Mercy, Goodness, Provision, Healing into the situations in Iraq (and Afghanistan) where our brethren are suffering . Let God arise and His enemies be scattered, for they have touched the apple of Your eye! Amen!

    M. Thompson Says:

    Dear Lord:
Thank you so much for this incredible website that unites Christians worldwide to stand with our precious Soldiers and precious Brothers and Sisters in the Lord in Iraq.

We are admonished in Your word to share the bonds of those of the Family of God as though we were in bondage with them. Indeed we are, for if one of the members of the Body of Christ suffer, the whole Body suffers.
Father we know that suffering is not foriegn to your Son, Jesus.
Isaiah 53 said that “He was a Man of Sorrows, aquainted with grief,…and the chastisement of our of our peace was laid upon Him.” Chastisement of our peace: Our peace being chastised means our peace, which is taking a beating, was laid upon Jesus so we could be comforted. Soldiers: Please appropriate this for yourselves.

Isn’t it good to know that our suffering will someday be turned into Joy? Jesus Himself, not an angel or any other, “will wipe away our tears.” We will get “Beauty for ashes and a garment of Praise for sackcloth.”

“If we endure to the end” we will rule and reign with Messiah Jesus from the world’s Capital, Jerusalem. (After all the dust settles.)

So let us be renewed with HOPE and expectation as Wayne’s prayer for the winds of change come crashing in and torrents of new rain falls to wash and blow away all the wood hay and stubble in our lives.
Please show us how to prepare now, Gentle Saviour, for Your Father’s new move upon the earth. May we be found in synch with this new wave and be found faithful to the call!
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen

    Lynn Says:

Father, thank You for today’s prayer for our brothers and sisters in Iraq! Right now, there has been new persecution in Mosul, though I’m not sure of the spelling of that city, You know it, Lord. Half have had to flee to surrounding places, others remain in danger, even though the government has pronounced that they should be protected. Give them strenth to persevere, continued knowledge and praise of You. Give them peace and courage, and help them to know they are not forgotten by us. Don’t let us give up praying for them, no matter how safe we think they might be. And Father, protect our soldiers while they continue to serve others so bravely and selflessly. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen.

  6. 419
    Mary T Says:

Amen to these prayers. May it be so, Lord. Thank You that Your plan will prevail and for the privilege of joining with other believers to ask that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Maranatha Lord Jesus.

    Loretta Worthy Says:

Father, We lift up the believers in Baghdad and in all Iraq and we stand at their sides and we cover their backs. We declare their freedom to worship You without fear and without being harmed by radical ideologists. We plead the Blood of Jesus over them, over their thinking and over their actions. Surround them with angels to guide and protect them in their ways. LORD, we command the eyes and understanding of the Iraqi Christians to be open, to know how to pray and how to bring about victory in their nation. They are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. They are affecting their culture and rescuing it from demonic control. Let the mind of Christ be in them and let the peace of God that passes all understanding fill them and overflow from them to their entire nation. In Jesus’Name, Amen.

We as Your praying servants bow down before You and claim by faith that Adhamiya is under the Lordship of Your Son Jesus Christ as You Holy Spirit convicts the hearts of the wicked to stop violence. For all the Troops, Iraqi Police, Civilians, and the Government Leaders may all of them be guided by Your wisdom as some faithful believers among the rank and file are there praying and making godly decisions regarding the restoration of Iraq especially Adhamiya. We return back all the praise, glory and honor to You, Abba Father for all the success on the ground. Jean Says:

Gracious, Loving and Merciful Heavenly Father, I thank You so much that in every circumstance we can turn to You and find You near at hand. I know Your children are precious in Your sight, Dear Lord, and I have heard that repeatedly believers in Iraq have been subject to targeted violence and persecution. Some, bless them, have chosen to remain and stand firm and in some cases have paid a heavy price for doing so. Others have fled the land in fear for their own safety and that of their loved ones. Loving Heavenly Father, I pray that You will deeply comfort any of Your own who have endured trouble, hardships, loss or terror because of the upheavals caused by this war and lead them to places of calm and stability. May they be able to take courage in You and give significant and strategic help and influence for the rebuilding of that nation. And, may they never forget that great is their reward in You because so men persecuted the prophets who were before them. May they know what it is to be filled with the joy of the Lord because they have faithfully endured in time of trouble, and may that joy be their strength today and in the days ahead. In Jesus’ Precious and Lovely Name. Amen.

    Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

I lift up to You the believers in Baghdad and Iraq that You would bless them in so many ways. Please give them greater faith in You as each day passes, help them to make a notable difference in the peacefulness of the nation, help them to rebuild with You in mind, and please bless them with a reliance upon You for a good future. Thank You that the troops have helped them to secure their nation against rulership that was bent on harming the citizens. Thank You for the freedoms they now experience and may they always recognize those freedoms came by Your hand and with the sacrifice of lives who served a greater cause than just pleasing themselves. Thank You for every believer in Iraq and may all the generations that follow after the believers stick closely with You and Jesus and not get caught up with other gods who are worthless. May You always be honored and glorified in Baghdad and Iraq. Through Jesus, Amen

    Lois Lively Says:

Hevenly Father, I thank you for being our High Priest and Savior. I thank You for giving us life and FREEDOM in and though You. I give Gal. 5:1,13-14 (12) It is FOR FREEDOM that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and DO NOT LET YOURSELVES be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (13) You, my brothers & sisters, were called to BE FREE. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, SERVE ONE ANOTHER IN LOVE. The entire law is summed up in a single ommand: “LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR A YOURSELF.” Use these Lord God for your Will to be done, and for Your glory.

I come now and ask that if it be “your will” Father send forth a wave of Divine help to your Church there in Iraq & Afghanistan. Give them Your strenght to rebuild their countries, and may this be done until thy have finished the job. Lord, be the banner and shield over the children in these countries, give them favor from you, and help them to take a step forward, and see your Presence and the future you have for them. I pray now that “the Church” and children be empowered by your Holy Spirit, your gifts, and may many mircalious wonders be done there through them and your wonderful hand and word. I PRAY NOW for our soldiers, may they know and receive favor from you. Give them faith and boldness to tell others of your love, peace, savation, and your mercy and grace. I ASK NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS, let the four winds send forth fresh rain, healing, and the dawn of NEW THINGS. I DECALRE that you are LORD of all the heavens and earth, and that you WILL REIGN in and over Iraq & Afghanistan. In the name of Jesus I lay this pray before your feet. Amen
