14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

    1. The Lord is my shepherd
    I shall not want,
    2. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
    He leads me beside the still waters,
    3. He restore my soul;
    He leads me in the path of righteouness
    For His name sake.
    4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil;
    For You are with me;
    Your rod and Your staff,They comfort me
    5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
    You anoint my head with oil;
    My cup runs over.
    6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    All the days of my life;
    And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    Lord I plead this prayer over the Lives of each of our Civillian and Military personnel.
    In Jesus name,

    Dearest Lord, there is peace and hope and grace in the name of Jesus and we ask that you bring that peace and hope and grace to the people of Iraq. We ask that you cover them with your mercy that they might know the love of Christ in their lives. Give them dreams and visions of you so they will know your love. We say the same prayer for our soldiers and the policemen of Iraq. In Jesus name, I pray.

    MThompson Says:

    Dear Heavenly Father: I lift up our American Soldiers to your Throne Room of Grace and Mercy. Please honor the intents of their hearts. They came to fight for justice, honor, freedom and safety. Now let these motives cover their daily existence too. Let justice, honor, freedom and safety be theirs in return. May this blessing they fight for become their blessing as well.
    Please give them a double blessing of each. Lord we know that these are some of Your attributes and You will find these efforts of our Soldiers acceptable in Your Sight.
    Please keep speaking to each Soldier, telling them what they need to know at all times. Give them the gift of discernment as to when and where danger lies and how to avoid it.
    Pease send your Holy Spirit to keep them from all harm. I know war brings death but You see even a sparrow when it falls. Please send salvation.
    Please be merciful to our Soldiers. Send relief and refreshing too. Send Your Peace. Thank you so much Dear Lord.

    Janice Says:

    Dear Heavenly Father,

    We recognize Your place in the world high above all nations, powers and authorities. We have read Your words in the Bible and know the Good News of Jesus and we know that in the end You are totally victorious over Satan and evil. There are battles and skirmishes being fought now between good and evil in Iraq. You hold the outcomes in Your hands and have Your purposes in the momentary wins and losses. We are calling out to You today on behalf of Baghdad that You would let that be an area of defeat of evil. Bring Your peace to rest permanently upon the city. We want to see You glorified by the shining example of what good You accomplish in the world so many will come to believe on You and Jesus. Please Lord bless the commanders and all who serve under them in their good works this day. Our prayers rise up to You like a song in Your ears, “Peace, peace, peace, please peace in Baghdad this day and forevermore”. Through Jesus, Amen.

    Heavenly Father, we speak blessings to You, oh Lord. You alone are holy, You alone are worthy of all praise, glory and honor. Hallelujah! Bless You, Lord. Bless You.

    Father, Your Word says that the battle belongs to the Lord. We believe this to be true. While man might step forward in obedience to You, it is You Who bring the victory for without You we are lost. In You we live and move and have our being. We thank You for the Holy Spirit that You have sent to guide our steps. We pray, oh Holy One, that our troops and others fighting on behalf of bringing freedom to the Iraqi people and those in Baghdad specifically would be sensitive to Your leading. Grant them wisdom and understanding of Your will. Give them insight to the tactics of the enemy and spiritual awareness of the enemy’s move before the evil can be plotted. Send forth Your warring angels to partake in this move for freedom of the precious people there and bring them the victory for Your Name’s Sake. Father, Your people cry out for justice and for fulfillment of Your Word that “greater is He that is in us than he who is in the world.” Let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven, in Jesus’ name we pray, thanking You for the victory. Amen.

    Amy in San Diego Says:

    Father God, I come before you weak, worried, and so scared so many days since my husband has been in Iraq. Please Father, help me to learn to trust you. Forgive me for not trusting you with my husband’s life & my own. I praise your Holy Name that I found this group of Christians praying your word & lifting up men like my husband and so many of our friends. Father God please be with the family of our friend, KIA, last April in Iraq. I have so many fears from his death. I pray he is with you now. I know I have a lot of fears because our friend was killed about a month before he was due home ~ and my husband is now at about a month before he is due home. I never take a single day for granted Father … but please help me to stop fearing as part of not taking these given days for granted. I don’t know if my prayer makes sense to any of your other children reading it, but I do know God, your Holy Spirit discerns more than my words can express. Thank you for knowing what it is I need, especially when I don’t know what to ask for. Thank you Father God for the beauty of life, and the love you place within it. I praise you Father God. Thank you Father! Amen.
