14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

Father, there were 13 American soldiers killed this week in Iraq. We think You that the number is dwindling. But Father, we come boldly to the throne and ask that peace will reign in that area, that none are killed or maimed, that the ancestral feud between nations will end. We thank You, Father, that this is done in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Dear Father in Heaven, I want to bless Your Name. May the healing and well-being of Baghdad and the places close to that city be precious in Your sight, dear Lord. Let Your will be done. I pray that the “insurgents” who have come from other nations to try to keep this area unstable will abandon their trouble-making ways and return to their own homes. I pray that they will also abandon the ignorant and misguided teaching that led them to think that murder and destruction were acceptable means to gain their end. May they learn better of the ways of God. Give wisdom to the leaders and authorities of Baghdad and Iraq so that they might know how best to rebuild their nation and establish peace. Please also watch over the safety of all who are seeking to bring peace, especially in Iraq and in Afghanistan. Father, please bring healing and comfort to the citizens of Afghanistan who suffered under the bombing yesterday. Please preserve their safety and bring healing to their land. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

OUr God is a Mighty God and truly you are the only One that can change the course of this war. Your hand be upon the soldiers that are fighting for good and come down upon the evil ones and stop their wicked thoughts and ideas. Bring peace to the country of Iraq so that the innocent and elderly and children, injured , lonely, mourning etc can again have peace in their land. Oh Father God, we think we understand war , but we have no idea what they are going through. They are so oppressed and have no way of escape. Please help them Lord in this war to overcome evil and have peace reign. May many hear You knocking at the door of their heart so that they will open the door and have your Holy Spirit abide with them. Our hearts are so heavy Lord as we see the pictures of the horrible conditions that they are living with. We have so much and all we want is more. They have nothing . NOTHING. Oh Father supply their every need and bring peace. We commit this to you believing that our Mighty God will answer our prayer. Thank you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, AMEN

    Kathy Says:

Father God: I have sincerely been reading most humbled, the inspired word that you have left us, in the Bible: All things there are coming to pass Lord: I greatly pray for peace in the Country, where the Garden once grew: I pray that the men and women fighting this war, for our military and our President. Are covered by your saving Grace & the Blood of Christ is with them through out their Battles. Lord Jesus I also pray that more people awake, to the “WORD” and realize, the land that we are in right now “IS IN FACT THE MOST HOLY OF LANDS” not others, but this is the very first, Persia. May this prayer be carried to all fighting this war by an angle of peace. I PRAY IT IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN

    Carrie Says:

Where ever two or more are gathered in Your name; Daddy, I come in agreement, and although my degree is *NOT* in math I can add beyond two. There are many of us in agreement for our warriors, Iraq, and the convictions of our own leaders. Give us the heart and mind of Christ that we would pray according to Your will, and let it be so.

So where two or more are gathered– Rock On & Amen.

    Jean Says:

Dear Father in Heaven, today I would again pray against the powers of darkness that have oppressed the city of Baghdad and so much of the middle east for far too long. I pray that You will deliver Your people from the hand of the enemy and give strength and endurance to any who are serving You. Might it be Your will that is done in that part of the world. I pray that You will command the evil one to let these people go and that You will work Your good and mighty purposes on their behalf. Please encourage each one who seeks to do what is right today, even at this moment, and help them see their way through any difficult situation that might come their way. May the power of Your Holy Spirit and of prayer prevail and may victory come. Please let everything that seems to be a difficulty or a setback be merely a stepping stone to bring about Your purposes. Please continue to raise up those among the Iraqi people who will stand for what is right. Please do not let any be discouraged or afraid of what is evil. Please let it all end in peace and in righteousness. In Jesus’ Precious Name. Amen.

I posted this prayer once befofre, but it still says what I feel. YlbistC – Jon Henry

Heavenly Father, Almighty merciful God, we come before You in faith and believing in Your infinite power and wisdom over all creation asking for Your divine guidance and protection and a special blessing for our military people at home and abroad as they go through their daily routines protecting our privileges and freedoms. Keep them and their families safe and shower them with Your love, grace, and mercy. As the troops move through the combat areas, surround them with legions of angels to form a hedge of protection that will keep them from any harm.

Fill the sons and daughters, brothers and sisters that have bravely stepped forward to defend our country and the things we stand for, with the courage to accomplish the difficult tasks before them. Let all Your children who are here at home, live in such a way as to be worthy of the sacrifice our military people are making for us. Help us here at home, to find ways to show our appreciation to both the families of all those serving in the armed forces as well as to the men and women serving. Let our whole nation cast off the selfish, don’t bother me, it’s not my problem attitude and step up to make the personal sacrifices that these people need to support them and their families. We can never repay them, they deserve our respect, they’ve earned our support.

Bless all those who become wounded or lose their lives in service to this country, Your kingdom and this struggle against evil. Be with their families to comfort them in their grief and send them all the provision they need to recover from their injury or loss as well as can be expected. I claim the promise of Jesus that whatever we ask in His holy name, You will accomplish for us according to Your perfect will. In the most precious name of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. Amen. Amen

  15. 84
    Sherrill Says:

Father, once again we gather in Your Name to worship You and ask for Your help in protecting our troops, the Iraqi police, our allies and all who fight for peace in our nation and in the world. Amen

    Barbara Says:

Father-God, we thank You that even and especially in times of war, You place Jesus with skin on to lovingly minister to those who are wounded and in much pain physically. We ask You to bless those chaplains who are every bit as much on the frontlines as anyone. We ask that their minds would draw upon Holy Spirit TRAINING to listen for Your voice and that You would enable them to be used as vessels of Your Great Love and Salvation. We ask that they would be totally led to allow their faculties to be used by Your Spirit to administer according to the TRUE NEED of EVERY SOUL on that foreign soil as they serve their country. HEAR their cries, Lord God, as they incline their ears to HEAR the VOICE of The Shepherd! Hallelujah… YES, we pray for a CLOSE to this war and we pray for their SAFE RETURN.. and YES, we pray for expediency in this endeavor.. We ask also, Father-God, that nothing would be cut short that You intend to do and that no one (American, Iraqi, or Other) be left without an opportunity to KNOW YOUR SON! WE bow in humble submission to Your holy and perfect will and we subject ourselves to following the leading of Your Spirit as Your call of intercession to go out into the highways and byways of both our land and the other by prayer, with the certain conviction that ALL LAND is Your land. OH LORD, that our military might be PAVING the way to PEACE, that is our prayer! IN JESUS’ NAME, let us remain FAITHFUL to our call to pray and let our lifestyle be such as to cause our prayers to avail much. AMEN.

    Dan Says:

Today, we are not watching in vain. We know that the battles are won because of the size of Your armies and the strength of Your warriors. Go, God, do what you are good at. Win battles with Your heaveny hosts. Go forth with a warrior spirit. Manifest this in the troops as they go and establish freedom, liberty, and peace. Thank you that it is Your good report that really matters.

    Lois Says:

Heavenly Father, I come before your throne in agreement with all the prayers said today for our soldiers and Iraqis. YOU ARE THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD AND NO ONE CAN COMPARE WITH YOU. You reign in all majesty.

Oh! our El Shaddi, you sent forth your Son to be our High Priest, our Jehovah Roi, Jehovah Ralphe, and Jehovah Shallom. Our Lord and Savior has fulfilled all that is written in Isaiah 61. May our soldiers, Iraqis, Police, and Chaplains SEE THIS TRUTH COME ALIVE BEFORE THEIR EYES TODAY. Father, give the Militay leaders there in Iraq the wisdom and knowledge to understand that you still do wonders with small numbers because of your power and authority that is above all power and authority of this world. Give the chaplains the knowledge from above for the troops to cover all their needs, and allow the Holy Spirit to speak forth YOUR WORDS out of their mouths that will heal the troops spiritualy and physically. Pour forth your LIGHT over the Iraqis and breakthrough the darkness for you ARE THE LIGHT, WAY, AND TRUTH, TODAY AND FOREVERMORE. In the Holy name of Jesus I pray. I add: Thank you for hearing all our prayers and answering them in your time and season of love, mercy and grace. Amen

Frank & Nancy (USMC Ret'd) Says:

Father, Lord God of the Universe, Creator of all things visible and invisible. You are the Supreme Ruler of the whole wide world. You hold the affairs of this world in Your hand. You hold the destiny of Iraq in Your hand so we come together on this day to ask You to extend your hand in a powerful way and place a mantle of protection over all those people in Baghdad and throughout all Iraq who are working to establish a peace loving nation free from the grip of those despots who are following after the devices of Lucifer, the evil one. We pray this for all the coalition forces, the Iraqi Army, the police, civilian contractors, and just plain folks. Raise up a standard of righteousness in that land, O Lord. Establish a people of praise who will offer to the entire world a testimony of Your faithfulness and goodness and of Your great salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Raise up a church who will hunger and thirst after You and will walk in obedience to Your Word. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

    Betsy Says:

O Lord of hosts who has told us in Isaiah 9:5-7 of Your Anointed Prince of Peace. may there be an increase of His Kingdom and of His peace in Baghdad and all of Iraq today. May every boot of the tramping soldiers and every garment rolled in blood be burned as fuel for the fire today in Baghdad. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. For the good of the people and for Your glory! In Jesus name, Amen.

    Janice Says:

Dear Father, We are encouraged by the good reports in Iraq and Afghanistan. We thank you for all that You are accomplishing through our brave men and women who are fighting this war of freedom. Bless each one with Your tender care and protection. Set the captives free, physically and spiritually and emotionally….so many scars to heal in those lands, but You are the Great Physician Who does all things well and in order.I would add for those in our nation who are in denial about who the real enemy is, that You would open their “blind” eyes. Deliver them from their destructive talk and from undermining and hating our great Nation. Deliver us from the evil one here at home who is fighting to defeat us through discouragement and confusion, by blaming America and our President for confronting this enemy of freedom. You are TRUTH, Lord, bring clarity and freedom to see and receive the Truth to those who would tear down America and this fight to preserve all that we hold dear. Open hearts to receive You in every corner of the earth. Bless Wayne and Kathleen for this precious ministry which is such an encouragement to us.

    Sharon Weems Says:

Father, Holy Lord. Words can’t express our gratitude for the changes we are seeing in Iraq and Baghdad. We are so encouraged by the words of General Patreaus who has been in harm ways many times for the sake of freedom for the Iraqi people. We praise and thank you for the soldiers who have sacrificed so much for these people. While many of our leaders in Washington are calling this good man a liar, they are enjoying all the freedoms and peace that these soldiers are bringing to America. We ask your forgiveness for them today. Most of all, Lord, we ask that you grant peace in this country so many people will come to know the only source of peace through you. In Jesus name, I pray.
