14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

Father Almighty, I petition You to raise up an invisible wall between Iraq and Iran that will prevent infiltration from Iran and I ask you to cast the mantle of wisdom from Joseph and Daniel upon these who seek to govern Iraq that they may have the unity only You can bring. In the Name of our Lord Jesus, Amen

Lord, You are high and lifted up and Your train fills the Temple. May this prayer prompt and all of the prayers of the intercessors rise before Your Throne of grace as sweet incense. We are offering and have offered these prayers on behalf of our soldiers in Iraq, and for the Iraqis themselves.
Lord, as the transition from peacekeeping by NATO forces to peacekeeping by national forces is made, we ask that You would overshadow the leaders with Your Holy Spirit. Cause Your Truth to triumph in Iraq. Cause men, women, and children to come to a saving knowledge of the Truth, and to bow before You declaring You Lord. Then, there will be supernatural unity among people.
Let this holiday season draw souls into Your Kingdom by making them interested it what the incarnation of Your Son means. We hold up the name of Jesus as we pray in accordance with His instructions and in His name, amen.

Father, bless the leaders in Baghdad today who are working on the transitions that will come as the Americans pull out of the country. Give them wisdom and discernment. Surround them with godly counsel. And give them strength and courage to stand against the evil one. Protect them and their families. And give them joy as they work toward the good of their country. LORD, let this be a sign for the nations, as they stand against terrorism and protect the rights of their citizens. In Jesus’ name, be glorified, LORD! Amen

Lord, Your ways and desires are holy and right! I give You thanks and praise for them. We need to have hearts like Yours! So I pray for the leaders in Iraq that You would help them to focus on unity and forgiveness and love for all the Iraqi’s. I ask that You would guide them to compromise and find solutions that work for the good of the nation, and not for just some. I pray that Your believers would introduce them to their true Lord Jesus and that You would go before and prepare their hearts to receive You. Father, there is nothing in our natures that would make us work together harmoniously. We naturally look out for ourselves and are jealous and suspicious of others. But when Your Holy Spirit is at work in us, that all changes. Today, LORD, work in the lives of those who govern Baghdad and Iraq to put aside all those anti-social, self-centered focuses and be led Your Spirit to work together in harmony. Do this in such a way that they will know that they are being led by the true God. Bring glory to Yourself, LORD God. Let Jesus be high and lifted up! Thank You, Jesus, for making this possible. Amen

Father, You are righteous and holy, and You stoop to our weakness. Awesome! Awesome God!
What an honor You have given us to pray for the leaders in Baghdad, Adhamiya, and all lover Iraq. Who ar ewe that we should have this holy opportunity?
As the leaders of Iraq are resting this evening and night, I pray that You would beat back the darkness and let Light be revealed to them – spiritual Light bringing Truth to their souls. Let it be that You do this through TV or Internet or literature or dreams and visions; but let leaders wake in the morning with a revelation of Who You are: Father, Son Jesus, and Holy Spirit. May leaders stand in awe of You and the fact that You have loved them so well as to introduce them to Yourself, the God of the Universe, holy , holy, holy! We exalt You, Lord, and thank You for loving all the world. May our soldiers in Iraq have the same revelation of Your love, and please extend this to their families at home, also. I ask in the name of Jesus, the Lover of our souls, amen.

I pray for testimonies to spread all over Iraq. May they hear of Your great works and mighty deeds and may they just want more of You! Protect Your missionaries there, I pray and guide them with Your loving hand upon them. I also ask for protection over our troops and the Iraqi troops and police. Lord, may they all come to You for You alone are their Lord and Savior. There is no other. Lord, please call their families to You as well. They need You to watch over their households. Thank You that You allow me to pray to You, Father God. I love You and trust that You hear and answer our prayers. Amen.

Dear Father, in the book of Jonah, you show that an entire nation–a pagan, ungodly, idol-worshiping nation–came to repentance through the forced prophesying of an unwilling prophet. You said you cared about 120,000 people who didn’t know their right hand from their left, and much cattle. Since you are the same, and your love and mercy are new every morning, surely you can do the same for Iraq and the nations of the Middle East. Nineveh is even in Iraq; so please do now what you did so many years ago. Bring repentance and save that nation. Bring their leaders and each person face-to-face with Jesus. Give them the grace and courage to choose to serve you, the true and living God, and cease the demon worship they’ve been entrapped in for so long. Open their hearts and bring them to unity in Christ, the only hope for real, lasting unity and peace. We pray in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

    Dear Lord;
Our Helper and our Comforter, I come before You this day, in the name of Jesus. I pray Your mercy and grace upon all this day.
Lord, You have done so many wonderful things that I cannot not tell them all. But, I thank You for extending the time which men and women have to come to a saving knowledge of You.
Lord, I pray for unity and grace in the lives of Your people. Lord, I ask especially for unity in the lives of those in the military and other leaders.
Lord, hear my prayers in Jesus name,
    Amen and amen

How blessed are those who dwell together in harmony! Bless all those in authority in Iraq who work together in harmony and hold each other in high esteem. Make their plans and programs successful and productive. Give them favor with all they work with. And bless their families and keep them all safe. Amen

  21. 678
    Donna Says:

Father, Progress toward a righteous and successful government cannot be made unless its leaders work together and are unified so I am asking that You work in the lives of the men and women who are leading Iraq today toward peace and security for their people to work together harmoniously. Let them find strength in each other. Give them wisdom for working out their differences. And bless the Christians among them who are the peacemakers. In Jesus’ name. Amen

  22. 677
    Mary T. Says:

Dear Lord: How wonderful unity is. Ps 133 says that it is like an oil that runs off Aaron’s head and beard and runs down to the hem of his garment and it is THERE – unity from Top to Bottom – that “God COMMANDS His blessings”.
So God loves unity so much that He Commands Blessings! That should be a lesson for us in our dealings here in America.
Lord, nothing is impossible for you. The world is the Lords and the fulness thereof, therefore, even tho there is a blueprint for winding up this Age to bring in God’s precious Son, we need to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and now the peace of Iraq and Afghanistan. Please bring Peace O Prince of Peace. Jesus Name Amen.

  23. 676
    Betsy P. Says:

Lord, we are grateful that we can come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to obtain mercy and to find grace to help in time of need for those in Baghdad, Karrada, and all Iraq. May lost souls be found of You, and turn from their idols to serve the Living God. May all leaders bow the knee to Jesus and confess that He is Lord, coming into the unity of the faith. Be glorified in our military and in the population of Afghanistan. Rout out all troublemakers, calling them into Your Kingdom and changing them completely into the likeness of Christ. I ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus, amen.

    Luann Beasley Says:

Glorious King Jesus…I praise You!! Lord of righteousness, love and mercy, I love You! Lord, I pray for unity in Iraq. I pray that humility and cooperation come about between the leaders of this nation. I pray for Your believers there to be protected by Your powerful and loving hand. May they seek to serve You with courage and tremendous hope that carries them through the hardest times. May Your great Light shine before them and You lead them through the darkness. Father of holiness…be adored, exalted and obeyed throughout Iraq and Your world. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Thank You dear Lord.

    DonnaGUAM Says:

Lord I pray for the saints of Iraq to live in unity who are believers of the Lord Jesus. Where the persecution is great, I ask for your divine protection over them. That as they dwell together Lord, you will open their hearts to courage and faith to be relocated to the nearest neutral place that will allow them to live their faith peaceably, without retribution and strife. Father I know you will never leave them nor forsake them. In Jesus Name I pray.
