14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

Father, I pray today that You may intervene in ways only You can in Baghdad today. I pray that Your strength and power will enable to grow up and bring out more peaceful and responsible local leaders who can be strong for the truth and work towards peace without deceit. Leaders, who love their people and base their decisions on what is best for their people, not for themselves. Soften their hearts, Lord, so that they can begin to work FOR peace instead of AGAINST others. Lord, that You may unite the different factions and tribes in Baghdad and enable them to see similarities over differences. Lord, I lift up to You our troops that they may be able to continuously help in the process of peace and that they are safe today and come home soon. May all their wounds, not just the physical be healed through You in Jesus’ name so that the war does not come home with them, Amen.

Blessed Lord God, it is true that Iraq has been troubled with many divisions and lawlessness recently. May the leaders of that nation take hope and inspiration from the example of what was accomplished in Egypt recently by means of unity and persistent peaceful protest. May Iraq be transformed by a desire for healing and the establishment of stable and wise government. May those who love peace take heart and work even harder to that purpose. May those who love to stir up strife become frustrated and may they not find any means to carry out their destructive purposes. May You be honored and glorified in Iraq, Dear Lord Jesus. In Your Patient but Powerful Name. Amen.

Father bind the one who goes to and fro over the earth to see who he can devour. Bind those who are planning to do harm to the innocent. Interupt any who are also planing terroristic acts. Father bring peace to Iraq peace that is lasting. Do not allow the enemy to get the upper hand I pray in Jesus name. Amen

    Sharon Says:

We cannot bind the devil – only God can and when Jesus returns.

In the name of Jesus Who came to undo and destroy all the works of the devil and his minions, and by the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, I cast down from the leaders of Iraq discord, strife, fear, party spirit, and every lie of the enemy that exalts itself above the will and way of the Lord. I decree and declare the peace of God upon them, the joy of the Lord is their strength. The spirit of love, the gift of soundness of mind and body be upon them! May the Spirit of Truth breathe His life into them, that as Saul they would become new men, joining together in one accord for the benefit of the whole of Iraq, whom the Lord calls the “work of My hands”. (Is19:24) Lord God, bless this people, do your work again among them, have mercy on them and be mighty to save, and deliver them from the bondage of Islam. In You and You alone is their Hope and future. I put my trust in you.
