14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

Precious Lord Jesus, I come before you today in complete humbliness before Your throne of grace and mercy. I come on behalf of the leaders in Iraq and I pray that each one of them will receive from You the knowledge and understanding from above. Place into their hearts Your love and help them to be in unity and peace in one accord. In the precious name of Jesus I offer up this prayer. Amen

“Lord, You are more precious than silver. Lord, You are more costly than gold. Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds…nothing I desire compares with You.”
May we love You first and foremost; may we show that love by obeying You. May we not leave our first love.
Lord, You are the Alpha and Omega, the Creator of all live, and we bow before You as we come in behalf of hurting people in Baghdad,Mansur, and all of Iraq. We ask that You would empower the leaders supernaturally to care for one another and for the people of the land. Bring them into unity so that the nation may move forward day by day in positive ways that bring good to all the citizens and soldiers/police. Do miracles of healing in the lives of those who have become jaded by death and destruction. Draw souls into Your Kingdom. We ask these things in the name of Jesus who gave His all for everyone who will receive Him, amen.

Father, our hearts are thrilled when we heard that Muslims were willing to make themselves human shields in Egypt when Christians are being killed. Even the President’s son is involved. May your Holy Spirit begin to move in Iraq to cause people no matter what background or faith to say: we are all humans, created by God and we live or die together. May your compassion begin to ooze through all people groups in Iraq. Expose the lies and exalt the TRUTH so that some measure of peace can come into that place. May the Prince of Peace be high and lifted up in Iraq and draw all men unto Himself. AMEN

Dear Father we do need Your Holy Spirit to cover Iraq. Enter into the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people and cause them to turn their lives over to You. Father we know ONLY WITH GOD can this happen. Give the leaders a new start as they work to bring the peace to its final place in their homes and hearts. Father, You are so faithful, and we want to be faithful, too. We lift up the leaders of Baghdad, Haifa, and all Iraq. We ask You to do a supernatural act that would compel souls in leadership to come into Your Kingdom and into unity with You and each other. Send Your Holy Spirit to break up the fallow ground of their hearts. Cause them to hunger and thirst after righteousness and to be filled. Grant them repentance unto salvation, and reveal Lord Jesus to them and in them as they prepare their hearts to receive their King! In the name of Your Son, Jesus, Whose birthday we celebrate, amen.

Persecution Report from Voice of the Martyrs —

On Oct. 31, Islamic extremists attacked worshipers at the Syrian Catholic Church of Baghdad, killing 59 Christians and severely injuring more than 80 others, according to VOM sources. Several gunmen armed with automatic weapons and explosives entered the church during a worship service and opened fire on worshipers. Two priests were among those killed in the attack. “[This church was attacked] because they are very active, especially among the youth and community,” VOM contacts said. “This church works closely with the United Bible Society and VOM by distributing Bibles and Action Packs in Iraq. This is the second time this church has been targeted; in 2004 it was hit with a car bomb.” A militant organization called the Islamic State of Iraq, which has links to al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia, claimed responsibility for the attack, according to Compass Direct News. Following the attack, sources told VOM that churches throughout the city had received death-threat letters, warning them to stop their Christian activities or face similar consequences. The threats have caused many churches to cancel services. VOM contacts reported that on Nov. 2, 16 bombs exploded in Baghdad within an hour, killing 100 people and injuring 380. Pray for Iraqi Christians, especially for the families of those killed and injured in the Oct. 31 attack. Ask God to comfort and minister to them during this difficult time. Pray that in the aftermath of this brutal violence, Iraqi Christians will keep their eyes on Jesus, persevere in faith, and not grow weary or lose heart. Pray for peace and stability in Iraq.

Wash over this land with a new zeal for life for the innocent who suffer at the hands of the enemy. Rid this land of those who want to kill and maime the innocent. Give them a new vision for their lives. You Father who healed, parted the water of the Red Sea, made water into wine, closed the mouth of lions to save one of Yours. This is just a fraction of what you did and are capable of. I put my trust in You Father You know the plans You have for Your people everywhere. Thank You for always knowing what is best for us. Dear Father, We’ve been praying this prayer for a long time, and it’s still as important and accurate as it was when Wayne wrote it. So I repeat the requests again, and ask that you will show us a sign for good with respect to this particular prayer for unity. Please let the people of Iraq come together against the forces of evil, the lies of islam. Let them institute a government that supports freedom of religion so that the people can be free to hear the truth of Jesus, the Prince of Peace, so ultimately these people can have a nation founded on the principles of your truth. We ask in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

    Jean Says:

Dear Father in Heaven, I thank You that Iraq is slowly being released from a spirit of conflict and the turmoil of war. Please do give wisdom to the leaders. May those from differing backgrounds or persuasions find the extraordinary wisdom they need to be able to work out a good foundation for peace in Iraq, and may that peace be a lasting one that leads to good in that nation that will bring blessing to other nations around. Dear Father, if any troublemakers remain in Iraq whose purpose is to disrupt the peace process, or to establish their own rule at the expense of the entire nation, may such be found out and kept from doing harm or damage to that nation. Thank You for Your great mercies over us all. In Jesus’ Holy and True Name. Amen.

  23. 626
    Betsy P. Says:

Father, Iraq doesn’t even have a solid government right now; but the things that are impossible with men are possible with God. I have the sense that someone is going to step back or be “blown back” by Your Spirit, so that one can emerge as the rightful leader of this nation.
I ask that Your kind of forgiveness will prevail in Baghdad, Adhamiya, and all of Iraq. Show Yourself strong on behalf of the people that You have created. Reveal Yourself to them in dreams and visions, I pray. Overcome all resistance with Your love. I ask this in Jesus name, amen.

    Peggy Says:

Father, I hear the word unity in this prayer. Lord, bind your people together in love that we may be a powerful force to be reaconed with.

Lord, you are about love. You made a way, and reconciled us back to our Father. Lord, I pray you would move over this nation and bring devine order to her.

I ask that your foot would demolish all evil with your great authority. Let the enemy know his time is up. No weapons formed against those hidden in you will prosper.

We call forth the destiny of this land and these people in YOU. Let them begin this day to fulfill the plans you have for each one.

We bless you God and Father of all creation. We will not be afraid what man can do to us, for YOU, are our GOD and Father and have already delivered us from the evil one.

We bow down before your throne and cry HOLY, HOLY, HOLY is our GOD. We worship you and we sing new songs of deliverence.
By faith we tear down all the idols who attempt to rise above you.

Be glorified and magnified in our lives, God. We praise your holy name forever. AMEN
