14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

    Betsy P. Says:

Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised. You have shown us a picture of unity in Your triune nature – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It does seem impossible that factions and tribes would be able to work together, but we have seen this happen within the USA, so we know that it can be done elsewhere.
May this be a day when Your Spirit moves silently and invisibly across the face of Baghdad, Dawrah, and all Iraq to cause people to come into unity for the life, health, and peace of the nation. May this be so among the leaders: political, religiouis, civic, and military. Bless our troops and the Iraqi forces with safety and long life. I ask this in the name of our Savior, Jesus, amen.

Father, I agree that they need supernatural help so they will be able to work together toward good. Bring healing in the place of divison which we know comes from only one source.. Lord, we long to see these people set free to live in peace and enjoy the fruits of their labors rather than living in constant fear and oppression. Open doors for them to escape the evil. Bring your power to bear against their enemy. I pray release them for good. AMEN

Dear Father I pray that he who goes to and fro to see who he can devour would be bound and not allowed to roam the earth. Nothing is impossible for you Father. We pray for Iraq and Afganistan that a new order of truth and peace would come to fruition. Father we need you to enter into the heart and soul of these who are planning to commit acts of violence and turn them around completely.May Iraq be built up and broken promises be restored. May the people live in peace and harmony with each other. Help them to learn to agree to disagree and be friends after intelligent discussion. Help them to learn to solve their problems with words instead of guns and bombs. Bring your angels of wisdom over this land. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

    Jean Says:

Dear Father in Heaven, with this prayer for unity among the people of Iraq I also request great wisdom for the government leaders either to help bring a peaceful resolution among warring groups, or to deal effectively and decisively with those who continue to stir up conflicts and divisions. May Your people, who know Your Name, work with their neighbours to help establish peace. May they have vision and wisdom how best to respond those who threaten them as well. May the destructive lies that cause some to believe they have a right to persecute others be exposed in all their darkness and deceit. May Iraq soon be set free from the conflicts, divisions and ambitions of some that have been causing so much trouble. In Jesus’ Kind and Merciful Name. Amen.

Lord Father God, King of the Universe, may there be one voice, one heart, one mind among the leaders of Baghdad, Iraq. This would be impossible apart from You, but Your Son, Jesus told us that there is nothing impossible with You. So, be glorified today in the seats of power in Iraq, and let the supernatural peace of God which passes all understanding guard the hearts and minds of those who trust in You, amen.

Dear Father, Son, and Holy Spirit I come to ask humbly that the leaders in Iraq be given Your love in their hearts. Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a FRESH WAVE of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together IN UNITY and HARMONY towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. May the leaders realize Lord that its by Your hands, and the Word spoken out of Your mouth; will bring forth the new Iraq. Lord, You say that division is natural but unity is supernatural, threfore, we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq. Place into the hearts of the Iraqis the desire to know Your Son, LORD, and bring forth Your chosen people to tell them of Your love, Your Mercy, Your Grace to these loved ones. Dottie Says:

Dear Father I pray that a fresh wind and new start would come about in Iraq. Help the people to get along with each other. Help them to realize how wonderful life would be if they agreed to disagree with one another. Everyone can have their ideas but to live together in harmony is what they need. Give wisdom to the leaders and keep them honorable and truthful. Bless all of the citizens especially the children and teenagers. May they be the new generation to lead in a fair and honest way. Pour out you love and guidance over this country I pray in Jesus name. Amen

    Jean Says:

Dear Father in Heaven, today I read and understood more about the Assyrian Christian of the plains of Nineveh, who date their history back thousands of years to the preaching of Jonah, and to the first century as some of the first Gentile believers. Yet most recently they have been decimated, murdered and driven away from their homes in Iraq by Shiites on the one side, and Sunnis on the other. I submit to You, Dear Father, that I do not understand what You are doing with the Assyrian believers in this era, but my heart goes out to them. Please strengthen those who remain, especially those among them who are considered a prey in the eyes of those vying for control of Iraq. Please comfort the grieving and help those who have been able to find refuge in other nations to find ways to provide for themselves. Please help Your established church in Iraq to realize that You also have many new sheep, those who have recently come to faith in Christ, and to embrace them. May the believers find grace to put aside their differences and to care for and support one another. I pray again for the healing of Iraq and for a stability of government. I pray for security for its citizens to be able to live together in peace. I pray, and I plead, for the story of the Assyrian Christians to be much more widely told, and may we believers who presently live in security and prosperity take notice so that we can at least pray for these brothers and sisters, or reach out to them in more practical terms. May our news media be ashamed of presenting to us fluff and drivel every day while ignoring many of the huge human stories that are taking place in our world today. Please raise up prayer warriors who care. Please help us to wake up out of our complacency, and have mercy on us. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

    M. Thompson Says:

Dear Lord: We love You today and always! Your sweetness, gentleness is always evident even in the face of all Your massive power. We love your tenderheartedness and covering for protection for the innocent, no matter what age. Lord, You set up government and appoint leaders so it is right to ask you to officiate when leaders are decided. Come and take this hurting world of people created in Your Image, devinely and uniquely imagined and created by Your Imagination and set upon this earth You gave us. Lord, be King now. Be Prince of Peace Now. Let the Government rest upon Your Shoulder Now. We look for this better Day that is coming. Meantime we watch and pray. In Jesus NAME we ask AMEN!

    Betsy P. Says:

Father, I bring my agreement to these prayers, and I ask that, as leaders in Baghdad forgive each other, unity would come between them. Let the process of governing Iraq be as a well oiled machine – oiled with Your Holy Spirit.
May the part of the city called Adhamiya rejoice in all of Your goodness to them. May the citizens and soldiers there be at peace with one another, and support one another. May the governmental leaders there join hands and arms in peaceful recognition of the humanity of each other. May many in Adhamiya have a revelation of Who You are today. In the name of Jesus, our Savior, I pray.

    Barbara Cannon Says:

Father-God, I feel especially led to pray for all arenas of intelligence militarily. I ask for protection over all those You have skilled with the abilities of uncovering necessary information that is vital to Your cause in this war. I pray that these would be equipped properly in every way, physically with the porps and tools they need, the technology to get the job done, but also I ask blessings on their mental faculties. I ask that Your very nature be imparted into their emotional makeups so that they might remain cool and calm in the tightest of situations. Fix their faces like flint, Lord God and outfit them with holy discernment. Raise holy antennae within their souls and spirits to not only recognize the enemy’s approach but to also instinctively know which way to turn and what to do. Stand angels with strengthening power to all their faculties around them. Cover them with the protective blood of Your Son so that they might hover near enemy camps with holy radar, hiding in plain sight but never discovered. Train and deliver wisdom through those whose job it is to sort through data obtained. May they have an unexcelled opportunity to complete their tasks unhampered and without enemy distraction. We thank You for the gift of faith and I pray this morning even though knees shake, hands wring at times, tears may even flow, that FAITH would NOT wobble that YOU are still GOd, still on the throne, and STILL IN CONTROL of this foreign place we call the “world.”

    IN Jesus’ name, Amen!
