14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

    Dear Father,
My request today is for unity among the leaders of Iraq. Please help them to set aside their differences that are of no consequence and focus on truly important issues that will help to mold their nation. Please keep them safe as they work towards rebuilding Iraq, but most of all please draw them to You–their Creator. Let them see You for Who You truly are, and may You be glorified.

Dear Lord: After our US Soldiers have been in Iraq so long, building schools over and over after they get bombed, throwing soccer balls from Helicopters, teaching basketball, boxing and wrestling, and now recently having water skiing races, finally, some brotherly accord is developing among our US Soldiers and the Iraqi enemy compatants. It is only the hard core Moslims that are bent on killing that don’t want this brotherly accord. Lord, please root these vigilantes out of the land. Scatter them to other locations where they dissipate into nothing. Let Iraq, the object of so many prayers and petitions for so long, become a land of blessing, prosperity with business’ suddenly spring up and the leaders become weary of endless killings. Please let the Iraqi people become desirous of a life of productivity and family growth and repair. Please usher in this new day for Iraq Lord Jesus and let it be a refuge in the days to come against those nations that need to catch up with the progressive Iraq. One of God’s end time Masterpieces. Hallelujia! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Father,I have heard it said that the ground is leveled at the cross. I am a sinner, saved by your grace alone. I simply and humbly ask that you would work to free those in bondage and deliver peace through Your Son, Jesus Christ who is the only way to be reconciled back to the One and Only GOD.
Lord, you came not to condem men but to save them. Lord, I don’t understand all of what is happening in the world and the one thing I can do is pray to you asking for peace, and deliverence from the evil one.
You are faithful and true, HOLY and just. I leave this prayer in your hands and ask for mercy remembering what Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, they know not what they do.” I am asking for souls GOD. Please be merciful and help them. Turn these awful times around. Please bless your people and bring healing to this nation. Help us to be Your Light in this dark world. AMEN

    M Tebault Says:

Yes, Lord, how easy it is for misunderstandings to disrupt unity. This is part of the enemy’s plan. I lift up Iraq’s leaders and ask that you would enable them to communicate clearly. Unite their hearts to seek peace.
Reveal to Muslims the truth of Jesus that is within their Koran — that in the whole of their holy book, there is no other righteous man mentioned except Jesus. May the light of your Word reveal the truth of your Son to each person in Iraq today – that He is the way, the truth and the life, and that no man comes to the Father except through Jesus.

Peace on earth, Goodwill toward men. Father, help us realize the truth of these words. That only belief in Jesus Christ will bring the peace on earth we want so badly. Open the eyes and hearts of the leaders in this nation who no longer seek the best for the people they represent. Open our eyes to see these leaders for who they really are and to change this nation back to the noble nation it once was. Father, we pray for our real heroes who are on the battlefield today. We pray protection, deliverance, peace of mind, safety and a soon return home for these young men and women in harm’s way. Place angels around them and guide their steps to bring them home safely. We pray for Israel’s troop and for our allies as well. We look to You, Lord, and we pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen

    Holy Father,
We do cry out for unity over Iraq. I say that a new level of hope and community of purpose will sweep across Baghdad. I see visions of a peaceful unified country (including the Kurds) in the imaginations of the leaders of the various sects and groups. They see their children living in a peaceful place. PAT Says:

    Psalms 91

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
    5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
    9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

    Jean Says:

Loving Heavenly Father, I praise You that You are the One Who is able to bring all things to pass, and that Your intentions, plans and purposes are always good. I thank You for Your mercies on Iraq, in that there has been a significant reduction in the fighting. Thank You that the leaders of that nation have taken to heart the responisibility to care for the needs of all their citizens, regardless of their background. Please give wisdom to these leaders, and a willing spirit to seek Your help and Your counsel. May the unsettled circumstances that remain in that nation be a power that causes these individuals to know they must depend on You for help in leading that nation, and follow Your leading if they hope to receive that help. May their efforts to do what is right and to bring peace and stability to that nation be appreciated and supported by the citizens. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

    Faye Says:

Father God I praise Your Holy Name. I ask that You will be with the leaders of Baghdad. Please help them to be like-minded in the running of their government. I pray that they will work in unity and have the same goals for their city. Please keep them safe as they go about doing what must be done to keep the city functioning as well as possible while war still rages. Although the fighting is not as bad as has been, it’s still there. Please, Father, let there be peace in Baghdad and all of Iraq so the military can come home, if it is Your will.
In Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen

    M. Thompson Says:

Dear Lord: We know that as long as Moslims and Christians are mingling together in the same territory that there will be clashes because it is light and darkness. One tries to overcome the other. Light always dispells darkness.
BUT, in this clash, there is the possibility for God to display His magesty, His Glory, His strenth and might, His Supremacy, His way and His laws.
Nothing can continue to stand in the face of God on the Move.
Peace will come when the Prince of Peace comes. But until then we are Soldiers of the Cross and go to Battle. One part of the dress for Battle success is the shoes shod for peace. As we demonstrate our peaceful intentions this draws out the desire for peace for all men get tired and weak and want peace. Then there will be brotherly accord with the enemy.
Until then, may brotherly peace and accord overtake our US Soldiers and they learn to depend on each other and love one another in Jesus Name I pray, amen.

Thank you, Father, for the privilege of prayer. Thank you for making a way where there was no way – through the blood of your dear son Jesus, Our Lord. Thank you that he didn’t consider equality with you a thing to be grasped, but freely gave it up for a season that he might enter our realm. Thank you that he lived a life fully pleasing to you, as evidenced by his resurrection, and that he ever lives to make intercession for us (Heb. 7:25). Lord, I lift the Iraqi leaders before your throne asking for mercy and grace to cover them. Protect them from the wicked one who would blind their eyes to truth and steal their peace. Open their hearts to know you as the one true God. Open their eyes to see the spiritual battle and to take your side, Lord. Thank you for your many and great promises. May your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven in Iraq.

    Janice Says:

    Heavenly Father,

We are all in agreement here that You would bring a supernatural unity within the city of Baghdad and the country of Iraq. You are good at doing what seems impossible and it seems so impossible to get agreements between the various people groups but You have Your ways. We can not think or imagine how You would work this out but we know for sure You alone are able. Thank You Lord for the safety You have given to the soldiers and citizens for another day. Please keep them all well fed and give them access to Your word so they can feast on it, too. I pray all the troops are consistently hearing from their loved ones at home, that no one is too busy on the home front to take time to communicate with them and also to pray for them. You are the greatest Abba how You listen to our prayers daily. We stay in touch with You because we love You and we want to press it upon You that we want good things to happen in Baghdad and Iraq and for the troops. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

    Dear Lord:
How good and pleasant it is when we all abide in unity! It is so soothing, calming, comforting and healing. May Baghdad experience this ecstacy! It comes from our Jesus, the Prince of Peace, and flows to usward, enveloping our entire being. Jesus you rain and bring sunshine on the good and the bad.
May you allow the evil people to at least taste and see that the Lord is Good. They will come back for more. It must be wonderful because there is where the Lord COMMANDS His Blessings….in a unified people who enjoy brotherly love. May this be the case with our US Soldiers as well as the Iraq leaders and it’s citizens. In Jesus Name we pray, amen.
