14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

Lord we thank you for the unity that has come about with the meeting of world leaders on how to deal with this global financial fallout. We pray for this same unity of mind in Iraq and Afghanistan. Let good ideas flow and plans penned out and the resolve, provision and patience to see it though. Bind the enemy from disrupting progress and causing doubt.
We lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ whom are fleeing in Mosul from persecution. Meet there every need as they wait to return. Protect our troops today and night as they serve so courageously. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Your Word, O Lord: “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; a time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. We cry out to You for the time of peace to come to Iraq and Afghanistan, to Israel and the USA. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Father God, yes, we agree and ask that unity would exsist between the factions of different beliefs in Iraq. Ultimately Your Word will be proclaimed in all the earth! May the eyes of the hearts of unbelievers be opened to realize their need for You! Today I heard that Christians are having to flee again in certain areas of Iraq because of persecution. Lord, protect them. Give them strength and help them to know believers from around the world are praying for them. May they be able to return to their land and live in safety. May we who have freedom to worship You not take that lightly and see it as a responsibility to do Your will with all that we are given. In Jesus name I pray! Amen and Amen.

Lord, hasten the day when the prophesy of Isaiah 19:23-25 will be fulfilled:
In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together.
In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth.
The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”

    Heavenly Father,

You as the three in one, triune God are a perfect example of unity. Thank You for showing the world the benefits of being in unity. More gets accomplished, the ones in unity have a force to get things done when they all function together. So we pray today for unity for the leaders in Iraq. Please increase their power when they all come together and set their goals. May they always include You as a part of their team for without You they are nothing even if they stand all together. Please bless Iraq with Your peace this day. May all the leaders learn of Jesus and His place in their lives. May all the children be able to attend programs to learn to worship You and give their hearts to You so Jesus can live in their hearts. You have given so many blessings this day. Thank You for all. Through Jesus, Amen

Father, we are in agreement that unity with diversity can be achieved in Iraq. Pour our Your Spirit upon their flesh turning them toward Yeshua and showing them YOUR GLORY. Bring forth the TRUTH of YOUR HOLY WORD so that they may see the Light and be saved thru the Blood of Yeshua. Give the leaders dreams and visions and the courage to act upon them. Father, we thank you that you have a good plan for Iraq and that you will watch over your WORD to perform it. In Jesus’ name. AMEN

    Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

Your wisdom and knowledge is infinite. You hold the keys to all human knowledge. You made our brains to function so we can know right from wrong and when we put our minds together and call on You for help You give us wisdom beyond ourselves. Thank You Lord for all that giving. I pray that today You would bless the leaders of Iraq with a united mind. May they all seek to see Your will done and for peace to prosper in Iraq. May they all be in agreement as to the best way to go forward based on the solid ground they have found thanks to You and the help of the troops who have sacrificed so much so they can have peace and freedom in the land. Thank You for making a way for the leaders to be able to gather together to make their decisions. There have been times when it would have been impossible for them to gather but You have made a way, Lord, and we thank You. I pray for all the troops who work to support the leadership that they will be respected for their valuable role. Please bless the families of the leaders and help them to be willing to sacrifice time with their loved ones as they are required to be in long meetings. Please keep all the leaders on a friendly basis and may cooperation rule over competition. Again, I thank You Lord for what You are doing in Baghdad and Iraq. Through Jesus, Amen
