14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

Lord we asked for a fresh anointing on your troops, and people of iraq. Bless those who toil, and protect the weaker ones in Sadar. We asked for Your intervention in all their undertakings. The plan of the evil one is to destroy the lives of your people-people that You have made in Your own image.
God, we invite You to watch over these dear people
in the entire country of Iraq. You have the power to do whatever You choose to do. We sometimes do not seem to realize the God we serve, and the power that You have. All in all Lord we know that You are going to work in Your time. Thanks Lord for what You plan to do,and what You are going to do. AMEN

    Lois Lively Says:

Father God, I come today before your throne and bring you a heart of humbleiness and love. I thank you Father for Your Love, forgiveness, peace and joy. You are our Lord of Lords and King of Kings and reign on high over all natins. Father, I bring again to you the passage in Psa 133 – “How wonderful it is, how pleasant, when brothers live together in harmony! Harmony is like the precious fragrant anointing oil poured over Aaron’s head. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon. The Lord pronounced His blessing even life forevermore”. In I Peter 3:8 You tell us “All of us should be of ONE MIND, full of sympathy toward each other, loving one another with tender hearts and humble minds”.

LORD, I ask that the people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, and other countries in the Middle East to receive these verses in their heart. May they BELIEVE IN HARMONY AND UNITY as the the only way to change the course of there land. May they realize that if they WERE OF ONE MIND, LOVING EACH OTHER with tender hearts and have humble minds would also lead them to your LOVE AND PEACE. Father God, in the name of Jesus I BIND UP the devil, who comes to kill, steal, and destroy your people here and the land you gave them. Lord I RELEASE from heaven Your Light, Love, Peace, Hope, and Joy to these lands and people. Lord I ask that you HONOR the hearts of the leader’s and give them a releasing of a fresh WAVE OF HOPE to strengthen their resolve. Thus, they CAN and WILL work together towards a higher and brighter chapter in the history of their nation. I pray this now in the Holy name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. I give you glory and honor for answering all our prayers and answering all the cries of the people of these nations. Amen

    Ann from AL Says:

Father, you see the hearts of all mankind. We are not any different here in the USA; we have just learned to settle our differences thru the polls and courts instead of blowing each other up. Help the Iraqis to see there is a better way for living in peace than what they have known for centuries. Prince of Peace reveal yourself to them in dreams and visions. Send Holy Angels to guard and protect those who are becoming heirs of salvation. Give the leaders and our troops wisdom to carry forth the plan for peace. Amen.

    Sarah Says:

Dear Father, please perform a special work in the hearts of the leaders of Iraq today. Please give them a spirit of unity that they have never known before and let them know that it came from outside of them–from You. Please bring the knowledge of Your love and redemptive plan into their lives and let them turn to You for the wisdom they need. Father, please bring Your peace to this struggling nation that needs You so very much. I praise You for the precious souls that You are going to bring into safe haven today.

Lord you have lifted us up and blessed so gloriously your people as we stand in the gap for Iraq, for our troops there and in Afganistan and other parts. What a high honor to co-labor with Jesus and brothers and sisters in the Lord for I know your heart is ever turned and tuned to this land and to this great people. May your will be done swiftly we pray, in Jesus name! Amen

    Luanne Says:

Lord, in the natural it looks like there is no hope for these factions to come together; but, with you, O Lord, in the midst of it, there is hope and hope eternal. Lord, hope deferred makes the heart sick. We ask that the hope of these precious Iraqi people will not be deferred any longer. We pray that true peace and prosperity would come to Israel, Iraq, Afghanastan, and the United States of America. Lord, I also pray that hope would be restored to America. Many have lost the resolve for this war. Lord, please help us to accomplish thy will. And, as we pray for those in Iraq, I also don’t want to forget all of our troops that are still stationed in America or other places in the world. Lord, we would ask too that you would send your presence to those stationed here as well as to those abroad and that you would call many to be your sons and daughters for the glory of your name. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

    Betsy P. McAllister Says:

Father, I am so thankful for my brothers and sisters in Christ, for Wayne and Kathleen’s vision for this prayer partnership, and for all who encourage one another with their prayers. In the Living Bible paraphrase, Eph. 2:14-16 reads: “For Christ Himself is our way of peace. He has made peace between us Jews and you Gentiles by making us all one family, breaking down the wall of contempt that used to separate us. By His death He ended the angry resentment between us, caused by the Jewish laws which favored the Jews and excluded the Gentiles, for He died to annul that whole system of Jewish laws. Then he took the two groups that had been opposed to each other and made them parts of Himself; thus He fused us together to become one new person, and AT LAST THERE WAS PEACE. As parts of the same body, our anger against each other has disappeared, for both of us have been reconciled to God. AND SO THE FEUD ENDED AT LAST AT THE CROSS.
Please, Lord, fuse together the opposing people into the Body of Christ with us so that they can be reconciled to You and to each other. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

    Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

Again I agree fully with the prayer posted for Baghdad today by Wayne. Thenk You God for he is such a good leader for this prayer effort. Please hear all the prayers that reinforce his prayer and act favorably this day to bring unity among the leaders in Baghdad and Iraq for the good of the citizens and for peace in the land. Let there be new friendships forged between the leaders so they are happy to pull together the heavy load and burden of making the way for peace to settle in the land. If they have differences let them see each other in a new light that shows up that they have more in common than not and that the differences are not worth being disagreeable over. Keep the leaders in harmony. Let them realize their need and dependence upon one another to be efficient as they work toward their goals. I pray that there will be a way to infuse the leaders with knowledge of Christ and His ways of leadership by love and not by fear. Turn the hearts of the people to see Jesus through the loving leadership of the leaders. When the leadership is in unity the citizenship will feel secure that they are all bound for the same destination: peace. I pray Your will be done in Baghdad and Iraq. Through Jesus always, Amen

Thank You Father for hearing us. Thank You for the blessings of answered prayers. Loving one another, working together, helping, hoping, praying, promoting peace and righteous living…all commanded and encouraged in the bible. I pray the leaders and the good people of Iraq learn this way. To work together, agreeing or disagreeing. I pray they move and stay away from the practices of the past that did not work such as violence, murder, oppression, abuse, dishonesty all that led to a country of dispair, fear, and poverty. Father help them to mature in this way and keep them from falling into the tribal wars that could hurt their nation as a whole. I pray for Your Holy Spirit to guide them through this process of building their nation. Please bless them Jesus by allowing them to know You and this new “peaceful way of doing things” can come easier to them. I pray this in faith that all things are possible in Your name, Amen.

OOps! It is Psalms 133. Sorry about that.
To all the Iraqi readers today, “Hi, How are you?”

  19. 230
    M.Thompson Says:

    Dearest Lord:
We know that nothing of value is accomplished in the midst of strife and confusion. The devil is the author of confusion. The brain waves are irregular and chaos destroys productivity and people are scattered for lack of a shephard.

You have used that design of the enemy for your own purposes in Gen. 11 at the tower of Babel. So, here again Lord, take the babbling of men and orchestrate out of it a design that is beautiful in the results. May it still serve Your good plans for today.

Please calm nerves and thought processes of our Soldiers in order to have them be able to focus on their needs being met, finding trouble and knowing how to deal with it, trying to stay alive and away from danger. Our Soldiers cannot move forward in one accord without brotherhood and unity.
“How pleasant it is when brothers are as one.” Ps 33
Please bring love, laughter and that which satisfies to our Soldiers today. Thank You In Jesus Name, High and Lifted up, and ABOVE every other Name. Confusion, Bow to Jesus TODAY! Amen

Father PLEASE here our cries for justice and mercy in that region of the world as well as others
We wait on You Father – knowing that You love us and know what is best and all in Your time Father, yet we are impatient children at times and ask please “Dear Dad – SOON”

    Dougie Macintire Says:

Gracious Heavenly Father – the news coming from Iraq is so disturbing….the fingers of the hostages sent to our soldiers, and the murder of the Archbishop in Mosul. Father God, Arise and save the afflicted!! Let Your Glory shine forth in Your righteous anger as you purue your foes. Do not let the guilty go unpunished. Let those who have spilled innocent blood be brought to judgement. Father, I pray for the hostages and their families. If they are still alive, Father, we pray for their protection, and we pray for a miraculous release. May You be their Sheild and Protector. And Father, we pray for the small remnant of Christians in Iraq. We pray that the death of the Archbishop will not be in vain, and that you will turn this evil to good. Father, we pray that those who have done this evil will be brought to repentance. Strengthen our brethren there in Iraq. Give them wisdom, power and strength through your Spirit. Send your angels to watch over them and minister to them during this difficult time. Help them to know that the victory is Yours. Father, pour your peace over this region in the Name of Jesus.
