14-Unity For Leaders

Scripture: “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! …For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life for evermore.” -Psalm.133:1-3

tribal_leaders.jpgPrayer: God, we call on Your name and we want to recognize that You are the Prince of Peace, You are the God who stood in the gap, and You have shown yourself faithful for mending the biggest division of all, and that was the gap between us and You.

Therefore we know and believe that nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who makes a way, when there is no other way. We lift Your name up over the various tribes and religious factions in Iraq.

In Jesus name, we bind the devil who comes to kill, steal and destroy, and resist all his efforts to sow seeds that create friction and frustration. We ask for grace to mend instead of tear down, to rebuild instead of destroy.

Honor the hearts of the leaders Lord and release a fresh wave of hope to strengthen their resolve, so they can work together towards a brighter chapter in their nation’s history. Lord, together we are asking for a special season of divine visitation, that Your mercy would linger over factions and fractures, so that life giving solutions can emerge.

We know that division is natural but unity is supernatural, so we ask for a release of supernatural enabling that would empower the hearts of the policy makers to team up together. Let healing begin, let new hope arise on the horizon of Iraq, we agree together before You dear Jesus. Amen.

Who is like unto you, Our Anointed King! There is no one. We join our hearts and voices asking that today you supernaturally deliver the Iraqi people in demonstration and power. May our troops be the instrument of rightousness and by the display of power, it would stike fear in the heart of our ememies. We recognise we are not fighting the Iraqi people, but insurgents who are mostly from foreign lands. Help us close the passageways completely where ever they gain entrance to Iraq and destroy their ability to receive supplies. Send a fresh breath of revival to our troops and those supporting them, strengthening their compassion for the less fortunate and caring for those who are not able to help themselves. Help us assist the widows and clothe the children. Today Lord, let the report be declared of your goodness and how close we are to victory. Hallelujah! In Jesus name, Amen & Amen.

    janice bigelow Says:

    Dear Heavenly Father.
I lift up all of Iraq to you. My prayer is that people who have come into Iraq from other nations to try to incite war and work evil of other kinds, would hear from their own countries and go back there, Now! Lord God Jehovah, I do ask that this very ancient and important land in Your eyes, would be touched by You in very special ways.

I am so grateful that you see every man, woman and child there and that you love each one. You know them by name. You knit them together in their mother’s womb. I ask that you would bring comfort where that is needed, peace where there is chaos and fear and anger, love where there has been hate, light where there has been darkness, and clarity and true wisdom where there has been confusion and foolishness. Lord I ask that these people would begin to see each other as human beings, made in the likeness of God, instead of as someone to destroy.

God I am very aware that satan wants people to hate each other. Lord I ask that the people of Iraq would stop falling into that trap of his, and begin to work together to build a country that honors all who live there as well as others who share the same world but may be different than them. Lord God Jehovah, I loosen off the enemy’s plans for destruction and I pray for a future and a hope for the people of Iraq. I ask that many would find you as Savior and Lord.

Father God I am including all of our soldiers in this prayer as well. Keep them from evil, from harm, from temptation and wrong that they may not cause pain, and that it would not cause them pain.(1 Chron 4:10) Bring them home as soon as is right Lord. Lord I pray for ears to hear and eyes to see so that they may deal with what they need to but not misjudge. Help them to walk in humility and in gracious strength and authority where it is needed and courage to do right, Turn them away from taking actions they should not, and give them quick decisiveness to act etc at the exact moment it is needed.

Lord only You can help them to be all these things and whatever is needed. But You do indeed help us at every moment as we ask, and very often even when we don’t. How I praise you and thank you that you are with each one and you love them. And best of all you never leave us or forsake us. I just praise You and thank You for hearing our prayers and answering us. I thank-you that the Lord Jesus is praying perfectly for all these particulars and we can rest in the joy of knowing that the One who knows each one of us best, and the whole situation, is lifting it up to you. We join our voices with His. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Father, for our troops, I pray that your Holy Spirit would be powerful in those who call you Lord and that there would be many who come to know you as Lord and Savior and that they would see your fingerprints all over their experiences in Iraq. I pray for chaplains who know You, that they would be refreshed and know Your unmatched companionship and rely on Your insights into the men and women they serve. Please bring Your peace to this region. Thank You.
