17-Protection for Fathers

Scripture: “Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet.” -Psalm 140:4

Prayer: Father, You are the Lord of the impossible. You are the God that knows when we sit down and when we stand up. You know the number of hairs on our head, and nothing escapes Your notice.

muslimfamily.jpgWe come to You in Jesus name and ask for divine protection over the fathers and the households in Baghdad. Lord, we ask right now, that You would intervene on behalf of a father in Baghdad today and that instead of tragedy, there would be deliverance from death.

Father, release help from Your throne to keep the fathers safe so they can protect and provide for their families. Keep these dear people from the hands of the wicked, and protect them from the schemes of violence.

Lord we also lift up the soldiers who are fathers, and ask for a special protection and blessing over them today. Guard them Lord with Your divine protection. Surround them with Your favor like a shield. Guard their going out and their coming in, their rising up and their lying down. You alone are able, and we agree together for this in Jesus name. Amen!

And Father as I stand in the Gap for our Military and civillians this day, Bless me and give me Wisdom and Discernment on how to keep our Troops lifted up.
I am depending on You Lord!

Put a hedge of protection around the innocent people – Increase in them their faith and confidence in your goodness and mercy – in your desire to answer their prayers. May they cry out to you in prayer for their safety and for the conversion of souls in their land and every land.
    AMEN

    Elizabeth T. Says:

    Heavenly Father:
We know that families are the bedrock of a society and the rebuilding of Iraq will in large part be the strengthening of the families.
Please help each and every father of Baghdad to find a way to work and sustain their families and strengthen their country from it’s foundation of strong families up to the counselmen who father their communities.
Lord, Our US Soldiers are also fathers. They are sustaining their families at the peril of their lives….and in so doing they are also doing Your mighty Works. Lord, many die doing this work.
Please forgive American Soldiers for their sins and be merciful unto them so that they can walk in the light of your Salvation.
Give them a saving knowledge of You and Your Word so they can be warmed by it during times of stress and turmoil.
In Genesis they will hear of Your Creation and the Patriarchs of the Faith and the giving of the 10 Commandments to Moses.
In the Books of Kings they will hear about King David and Elijiah and the Ravens and in Isaiah and Jeramiah they will learn how you dealt with societies that disobeyed you and their return to you and their subsequent restoration through purifying their ways and hearts.
In the New Testament they will hear about the coming of the Savior of the World, Jesus of Nazareth and His life, ministry, Betrayal and crucifiction
and Resurrection from the Dead. In the Epistles they will learn about spreading the Gospel and living a holy life. In Revelations they will hear about Your winding this age up and the coming age of Your Kingdom on Earth and the New Jerusalem.

Lastly, Lord, thank you for being our Great Father and displaying your Last Word in our lives. Every living thing praises you, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. In Jesus Name and no other, Amen

    Loretta Worthy Says:

Father, We lift up the fathers of Iraq and call forth wisdom to rise up in each one to be a wise and a good father and husband who provides for and protects his family. We pray for each father to be motivated by Godly attitudes and intentions and who will be a person who will do the next right thing. We pray that the desire of each man’s heart is to do what is right regardless of what is politically correct. We loose each man from harmful and demonic attitudes that have been the prevalent attitudes of previous years in Islamic circles. Jesus is Lord of Iraq and the men of Iraq have the mind of Christ. In Jesus’name we pray. Amen.

    MThompson Says:

    Dear Father in Heaven:
In the last days your Word says that the love of most would grow cold and that would include all love, even Fatherly love. So we stand in agreement for the turning of father’s hearts towards their children and children’s hearts towards their fathers.
Lord you said that if that didn’t happen you would come and strike the land with doom. And that is the last thing you said in the Old Testament.
Then came four hundred years of silence before the New Testament and you started talking to us again. So I guess it is REALLY important.
Please be with the US Soldier’s families supplying them with provisions and faith.
Let the soldiers and their families comfort one another as you dear Lord open up communication lines for them to speak to one another. Please let that time be for father and child bonding, or mother and child bonding.
In Jesus Name we pray, Amen

Glorious and Gracious Father, I thank you that we can come before and tell you all of our troubles even though you know them all. Thank you for your love, grace and mercy that is new and fresh each day. You reign on high and rule the earth and heavens. May your will be done the rest of our night and the whole day in Iraq, as you have it written in heaven.

Father, be with the families there in Iraq and guide the fathers to be the leader and head of the house with love that only comes from you. Give them provision for the family and may your protection and favor cover them like a hedge against all evil. Lord send down their angels to protect them while out on the streets protecting their land against the terrorist. Our Lord and Savior BLESS OUR SOLDIERS THERE IN IRAQ AND IN AFGHANISTAN, cover them with your feathers, and bring peace upon them that is beyond all peace. Protect their families here in the States, provide them with each and every need they need each day. Cover their houses with the blood of Jesus your precious Son. I ask this now in faith and know that I know all the prayers that went up through out this day and night will be answered. In Jesus name Amen

Psalmist David and our Lord Jesus both came to you before it was day, and Father I know in Bagdad, the mosques have already completed their morning chants. Father, even before it is day, discomfit the enemy, giving them no rest! We will pray until they are driven from this area and this land. Continue to give those who fight for your rightous cause courage, wisdom, discernment; guiding them by your Holy Spirit to route the enemy and more soundly defeat them. Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

You are Abba to Your adopted children and You know how to be the best Father in the whole world. You have given us Your word in the Bible so that all fathers would know the best way to live their lives and raise their children. This knowledge goes throughout the world but some fathers in some places may not have access to Your word. I pray in particular today that all the fathers in Baghdad would have access to Your word so they would be able to see, hear and/or read for themselves Your way to do things. Upon receiving Your word in their lives I pray they would accept it and be challenged to be the best fathers they can be. If any of the fathers there have been singled out by the enemy to be harmed in any way I pray for the sake of their children and wives that You would use Your various means to protect them supernaturally. Only You have the power to know who needs to be protected and what needs to be done so their children can have the benefit of having a father. Jesus loves the little children as the song goes and what a blessing it would be if all the fathers could sing that song to their children in a peaceful Baghdad. Jesus does love the children in Baghdad and He loves their fathers, too. Show us today Abba how much You love them by blessing them indeed upon this day. Through Jesus, Amen

    Stan and Shannon Roberts-GA Says:

Father, Lord you are the Father to all nations! Lord I stand in intercession that the men of Iraq would see you as their father and they would cry out to you as Abba. So many are fatherless. Yes Lord call them to you as we lift them up. Heal their father wounds. May the children cry out to their fathers and the hearts of the fathers turn to their children. Bind up the enemy who is seeking to destroy the fathers of Iraq and destroy the husbands of Iraq.

Lord, we bless you that we see the Surge working and that the enemy is being scattered and shattered in the physical realm. Lord we pray that in the Spirit the fathers are being transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light!!

Lord, We bless the fathers of our nation who have willingly fought in a foreign land for a foreign people. So Lord continue to Surge upon them your favor, strength, and cunning in this war. Bless them that know you and bring those into harvest that do not know you. ARISE O LORD!!

    In the Name of Yeshua!!

    Jean Says:

Dear Loving, Mighty Father in Heaven, may Your watchful eye be upon the fathers in Baghdad today to watch over them for safety and for the well-being of their families. I pray this for those fathers who are citizens of that land because their families especially need their sheltering help and leadership in this time of trouble. I pray it also for the fathers who are from overseas, serving in that land, because their families have given sacrificially in sending their loved-one overseas for the betterment of others. Be with them each and every one. Help them in the decisions they make and the steps they take, and keep them from harm and any enticement to wrong-doing. Please also keep watch over those of our troops in Afghanistan who are fathers. Heavenly Father, I also pray for these men who are facing the troubles of war to be able to sort through the stress they have experienced in a healthy way as they return to their families after their tour of duty. Please be with them and be their help. In Jesus’ Precious Name. Amen.
