17-Protection for Fathers

Scripture: “Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet.” -Psalm 140:4

Prayer: Father, You are the Lord of the impossible. You are the God that knows when we sit down and when we stand up. You know the number of hairs on our head, and nothing escapes Your notice.

muslimfamily.jpgWe come to You in Jesus name and ask for divine protection over the fathers and the households in Baghdad. Lord, we ask right now, that You would intervene on behalf of a father in Baghdad today and that instead of tragedy, there would be deliverance from death.

Father, release help from Your throne to keep the fathers safe so they can protect and provide for their families. Keep these dear people from the hands of the wicked, and protect them from the schemes of violence.

Lord we also lift up the soldiers who are fathers, and ask for a special protection and blessing over them today. Guard them Lord with Your divine protection. Surround them with Your favor like a shield. Guard their going out and their coming in, their rising up and their lying down. You alone are able, and we agree together for this in Jesus name. Amen!

Dear Father; Inthank You in advance for Your protection of Baghdad’s fathers’. I pray that not one child be left orphaned( in the Middle East) or fatherless this day, in Jesus name.
It is You who ordained the family, now I pray each family is protected from the enemy of our souls. I ask that Your angels of mercy be stationed around each father.I call on You to be their Banner this day in Jesus name.
    As Psalms 35 verse 1 – 3 declares:
1.Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: (the fathers). fight against them that fight against me.(the fathers).
    2. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.(the fathers).
    3. Draw also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: ( the fathers). say unto my soul,( the fathers)I am thy salvation.
    4. Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek my soul:(the fathers) let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.(the fathers).
In Jesus name I believe and expect this miracle,

Blessed Lord, we humbly come before Your Throne to ask your protection for the fathers in Baghdad. There are many fathers who are trying so very hard to serve You Lord and teach their families Your ways. I ask that You guard them and guide them down the best pathway for their lives, advise them and watch over them. We also ask You Lord to keep Your protecting hand over the fathers and mothers who are in the Military helping Your innocent ones in Baghdad. thank You Father God for all You have done and all You are going to do in the Middle East. In Jesus name I pray….Amen

Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus. I thank you today for what you are doing in the lives of each of our young men far away from their homes protecting them. I thank you that you gird them up with strength and make each of them bold. Lord, remember those who live in the city of Baghdad who love you too. Keep them in your protection; under the shadow of your wings, in your secret place. I lift up your little jewels and ask if you could send your Angels down to encamp around them with their parents & other siblings. Thank you Lord Father in the Name of your Son Jesus, Amen.

    Jean Says:

Dear Father in Heaven, blessed be Your Name, and may Your will be done in Baghdad today. Dear Father in Heaven, I thank You that You are interested and You care about all the details of every life. You have made us all, and we are all precious in Your sight. You know nothing of boundaries or nationalities, but You care for each one of us the same. Father, I agree with the prayers of those praying for the troops today in asking that You would bless the troops and their families and keep a special watch over the fathers of those families. But we are also called to pray for the fathers who are citizens of Iraq who need to lead their families through conflict and trouble that many of them did not cause or desire. Some of them have experienced some very hard and dangerous situations, and many have lost children or other family members because of this conflict. Help us to care for their needs by reaching out in prayer for them and to stay mindful of the troubles many of them are facing today. Your heart is great and generous. Help us to be like You in caring for others. In Jesus’ dear Name. Amen.

We thank You that You hear and answer our prayers. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

    Janice from Georgia Says:

    Heavenly Father,

You are the originator of the family unit. You made there to be fathers and mothers who are (hopefully married) parents together of their children. This day we come before You seeking wonderful blessings to be bestowed upon the fathers in the land of Iraq. Whether they are soldier dads far from home or stay-at-home disabled dads or anywhere in between we pray You would brighten their day with Your felt presence and love. Let their wives and children respect them and honor them in their role. Bless all the fathers with knowing a peaceful home awaits their arrival at their earthly home for now and in their future home with You and Jesus in heaven. Let all the fathers look to Your word in the Bible as a guide for their lives. Let Your good instruction filter down from them into the lives of their wives and children so that none in the households are ignorant of You. Thank You dear Abba, Father to the fathers and to the fatherless, thank You for the blessings You have nourished Your children with this day in Baghdad, Iraq and throughout the world. Through Jesus, Amen

Lord As I start my day, I start this day worshiping YOU LORD. My favorite song says,

“This is time, when true worshipers, will worship you, these are days when my fathers ways, will be known to them, this is the hour when the spirit comes,(power) will move again, all across the land, as we worship you in spirit and in truth. Lord we worship you in spirit and in truth! Angels sing…”Holy, Holy, Holy is your name, Lord your Worthy, Worthy, let all the earth proclaim, Your Mighty, Mighty there is no God like you, and we worship you in spirit and in truth.”

Lord I declare that these words reign this day and everyday over Iraq. Lord I free the Holy Spirit to move and have it’s being over this land. Lord I bring our troops before you Lord. Sweep over each of them, speak to the heart of man & women, from the top to the least important…to the reality of being lost, separated from the only true God…YOU. I proclain Your glory over them. I rejoice with the those in heaven proclaiming there salvation with joy!
Lord I pray over the FATHERS this day too, in Iraq. May they be given a day of peace, safety, restoration. Lord we know where our help comes from, The God of ALL things POSSIBLE! So much has been taken away by forces, not of there own doing. Lord forgive us all for our part, our sins, our judging, our mistakes. Show these fathers a better way to lead there families, show them “JESUS” He is the way, light, peace, blessings. Rise up fathers who will serve you first. In Iraq and also in our fighting men, our troops. Lord thank you for another to pray and move in your spirit….Let it be soooo.

Heavenly Father, I come to you in complete agreement with the loyal and faithful posters who pray daily with the Prayer Patrol. I ask you to knock on the doors of the hearts of our men and women in uniform, putting their lives on the line each and every day in Iraq. If they do not know you as their personal saviour, let them know that they need YOU in their daily lives, they cannot do this without you. I pray that our fighting men and women and all those who are fighting for Iraqi freedom, will know that if they died today, they would be in heaven with you. I pray for the salvation of the Iraqi people, we want to see them come to you and rejoice with us because of all the wonderful blessings you bestow on us. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen

    Dear Father in Heaven,
You are the Father of all the living. You made us; we are yours. Please send us Your Presence today because inspite of all the death and destruction around us, “In Your Presence is the fullness of Joy.”
    Luke 2:7
“And she brought forth her fistborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly host praising God, and saying:
Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace; good will toward men.

    Jon Henry Says:

Heavenly Father, Almighty and merciful God of all creation, I come to You in faith and believing in Your divine goodness and Your limitless power over all the universe to ask this blessing on the fathers of the world and especially Iraq.

As they go about their daily tasks and efforts, help each one individually to keep in mind the safety and welfare of all children of the world as though they were their own. Impart to each father a deep and sincere understanding of the consequences that their actions toward other fathers will have on the unseen children at home. Let this be a determining factor in all the decisions made by those You have placed in authority over the multitudes.

In all things, let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Holy Spirit intercede for all the fathers of the world and give utterance to God’s ear of the things we don’t know to ask for. Make petition for all fathers to our Heavenly Father and let Jesus Christ, who is our High Priest in heaven, take that petition before the throne of God on behalf of us all. Thank You Lord for Your never ending faithfulness and Your boundless grace and mercy to all of Your children. All these things I ask and pray in the most precious holy name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen and amen

    Sharon Says:

Heavenly Father, creator of our souls. Your word says that “the heart is desperately wicked, who can know it.” The hearts of the enemy in Baghdad, Iraq and Afghanistan are desperately wicked. They want to mutilate, destroy and kill in any way possible. We ask today and every day for the protection of all the soldiers and the policemen in Iraq. We ask for protection over the leaders of the government in Baghdad and Iraq. Give them wisdom to fulfill their roles and lead this country to freedom. In Jesus name, I pray.

    Amanda Says:

I lift the fathers of this city to you this morning. Give them new insight into peace for their families instead of revenge, hatred and war. Open their eyes of understanding to your ways which are peace, joy and love. Lord you are strength with gentleness, hope without compromise. May your strength and hope be visible today in this city.

This morning give compassion to our soldiers for these people. Protect our young men from the evil plans that have been set for them and release the good things that you have planned for them in Jesus name.

  22. 148
    Norm & Linda Says:

Father God, We ask You to protect the fathers, to encourage them to seek Your face, to ask Your advice, to seek Your wisdom in all that they do and say. Show them truth as opposed to the many lies they hear on a daily basis. Show them, Father, how to be fathers to those children whom you have placed in their care. Convict fathers of their sins, forgive when they repent, guide when they seek, set Your Holy angels around them now, and encourage their hearts, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

  23. 147

Lord we know some day EVERY knee will bow & EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. We pray that many in this troubled area will come to a knowlege of Jesus before that time comes. Pour Your Holy Spirit out Oh Lord & let Your Glory fall . In the Name above all names I pray.

    carole Says:

Abba Father – what a privilege to be able to call you Abba. Some of the men fighting, whether U.S., allied forces, or Iraqi soldiers, may be someone’s “Abba”, too. There are also some who are Mama, some who are brother or sister, aunt or uncle, and son or daughter. We appreciate their willingness to fight for peace, for liberty for the oppressed, and for protection of the weak. Peace, liberty and protection are your job, Lord, and we are your vehicles to bring it about on this earth. Please strengthen those who are fighting for this cause, and please protect them from the evil schemes of the enemy. Guard their every step and their every thought, and may they, themselves, know Your Peace in the midst of turmoil and strife. Thank you. I pray in the name of our precious Savior, Isa.
