17-Protection for Fathers

Scripture: “Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet.” -Psalm 140:4

Prayer: Father, You are the Lord of the impossible. You are the God that knows when we sit down and when we stand up. You know the number of hairs on our head, and nothing escapes Your notice.

muslimfamily.jpgWe come to You in Jesus name and ask for divine protection over the fathers and the households in Baghdad. Lord, we ask right now, that You would intervene on behalf of a father in Baghdad today and that instead of tragedy, there would be deliverance from death.

Father, release help from Your throne to keep the fathers safe so they can protect and provide for their families. Keep these dear people from the hands of the wicked, and protect them from the schemes of violence.

Lord we also lift up the soldiers who are fathers, and ask for a special protection and blessing over them today. Guard them Lord with Your divine protection. Surround them with Your favor like a shield. Guard their going out and their coming in, their rising up and their lying down. You alone are able, and we agree together for this in Jesus name. Amen!

Lord, I praise You and give you glory!! I just want to thank you for the protection that the Iraqi government is trying to provide to your precious children, the Christians, in Iraq by building the walls around their churches before the Christmas observances. I pray your supernatural protection be added to these walls. Station angels on the walls to keep your children safe while they are worshipping you. Let no harm come to them in Your house, or anywhere else for that matter. Cover them with Your wings of protection and safety. In Jesus name Amen

Our Father which art in Heaven = hallowed be thy name – I come to you just now in place of the many fathers in Bagdad who do not have the opportunity to exress themselves as we do. My prayer is that You will help these fathers accept the responsibility that has been given to them. No doubt some are police, some soldiers, others laborers, but first they are fathers. That is a great calling and we ask that you will assist them through Your Holy Spirit to be the leaders in their homes. Help them to be exam;ples to their children. You have loved them, may they feel that love and respond as you would have them do. Some may not know you, but may some onea reach them with that story of Your love. We ask this for your Glory, and their good. Amen and Amen

    Jean Says:

Thank You, Father in Heaven, for this prayer for the fathers of Iraq. Please encourage every father in that nation whose heart is bent on doing good. Please speak to those who are confused about what is good and what is right. Please rebuke those who have forsaken their calling to nurture their wives and children. May they find contrition and a willingness to return to Your ways. I also pray that the fathers in Afghanistan will have a desire for peace in their homeland. Please give them the intention and the desire to live in peace with their neighbours. Please silence the mouths of any who might continue to stir up strife and expose their lies and hypocrisy for all to see. Please protect the Christian minority from those who have been making threats against them. Help them to stand firm and to represent You well. Bring repentance to any who have known they ought to speak out against those who have targeted the Christians, but have so far failed to do so, and move them to take action. May there be a growning movement for peace and righteousness in Iraq. May those who have their hearts set on peace and stability be able to work together to accomplish this. In Jesus’ Holy and True Name. Amen.

Dear Father I ask today for You to keep the fathers safe in Iraq. May they have a new purpose in their lives and may they want to protect their families more than ever. I pray that no father will have to mourn over any of their children. Also keep the fathers who are serving in the military safe. May You watch over them and bring them home safely to their families. Father there is none like You. You are the beginning and the end our Saviour and our Friend. I love You Father and I give praise to You for always hearing and answering. We know that many things are in Your timing and we need to listen to hear You speak. Keep the Fathers safe I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Heavenly Father of all, we agree in prayer for the earthly fathers in Baghdad, Adhamiya, and all Iraq. WE agree in prayer for the civilian fathers, and the military fathers, and the religious fathers, and the fathers in every area of leadership in the nation.
We agree for their protection physically, mentally, spiritually, financially, and socially. We agree as we ask for Your divine care over them. Cover them with Your feathers and cause them to trust under Your wings.
And, Lord, please help the fathers to forgive those who have trespassed against them, as You have forgiven them. Help them to know the importance of forgiving their enemies. Free the fathers from bitterness and unforgiveness and vengeance we ask in the name of Your Son, Jesus, Who forgives us, amen.

Father, the winds of violence and civil war…persecution of the few remaining Christians in Iraq…the Sunnis being given limited governing power as the government is finally formed..all of this, Lord, opens doors for continued death and destruction in this country. May it not be so, Lord Jesus. Prevail upon leaders to unite in a way the will promote continued peace and prosperity in this land. Protect the Christians and their meeting places. God, to You I plead..let the deaths of over 4000 American troops and thousands of Iraqis not have been in vain. Jesus, I ask in Your Name. Amen.

Lord, we take this opportunity to spend some time with you. We are so thankful that you do hear and asnwer prayer. We have proved this over and over in our lives. We are taking this time to ask you to be with the Fathers in Iraq as they, being the head of their house, spend time in protecting and to the best of their ability taking care of their families. Being a father, I know the feeling of responsibilities. I also know how you have helped in every time of need. We can say this with a great feeling of being close to you, and know how you have been close to me and the family. As these men seek you for their wisdom and strength, we pray with them for your presence with them and their families. I am not there, but I have the feeling of assurance that You will be. Thank you over and over for this. In Your precious Son’s name. AMEN

Encourage the leaders to do the right thing for their people. Father let them know how much You love them and how You gave Your Son to die for each and every one of them. May a great revival spread over these lands where there is so much strife. May they learn to know You as their personal Savior. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Dear Lord God, thank You for the wisdom of prompting us to pray for fathers and for families in Iraq. May peace and safety come to that nation so that the fathers may be able to put their efforts into providing for and nurturing their families. Please also protect the families who have been threatened by certain groups after the withdrawal of troops from their area. My heart cries out because of the injustice that some have received, usually because of religious differences. Blessed Lord, may the day come soon in Iraq when fathers and families from every background and in every community may have room to grow and to prosper. In Jesus’ Lovely and True Name. Amen.
