17-Protection for Fathers

Scripture: “Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet.” -Psalm 140:4

Prayer: Father, You are the Lord of the impossible. You are the God that knows when we sit down and when we stand up. You know the number of hairs on our head, and nothing escapes Your notice.

muslimfamily.jpgWe come to You in Jesus name and ask for divine protection over the fathers and the households in Baghdad. Lord, we ask right now, that You would intervene on behalf of a father in Baghdad today and that instead of tragedy, there would be deliverance from death.

Father, release help from Your throne to keep the fathers safe so they can protect and provide for their families. Keep these dear people from the hands of the wicked, and protect them from the schemes of violence.

Lord we also lift up the soldiers who are fathers, and ask for a special protection and blessing over them today. Guard them Lord with Your divine protection. Surround them with Your favor like a shield. Guard their going out and their coming in, their rising up and their lying down. You alone are able, and we agree together for this in Jesus name. Amen!

Good Morning Father…I have yet to open your word to read and meditate but the first lines of the NY Times grabbed my attention as I was looking for my daily reading assignment in your Word. How tragic to read that once again there is new strife in Baghdad and that all of the hard work to reunite this fragile economy and country is once again in the midst of war, anger, hatred. Oh Father please send a fresh new wave of Your love and compassion to these people who suffer at the hands of those who are so vile, hurtful, and self serving. These precious people are wanting peace and yet there are those who just want war all because of their agendas. Father…send your love, your compassion, your peace to this region. End this strife with a bold stroke of your hand …open their eyes to see who You really are. Remove the blinders of their eyes as they daily pray to an unknown god whose goal is to keep the Iraqi’s in darkness lest they see the light. Go before the ones there that know you and serve you and give them boldness to speak without fear so that many may hear and be saved.

    Dottie Says:

Dear Father protect the fathers today and do not allow any to be harmed. Father no one wants to be in the middle of these awful killings done by evil people. We do not understand how any could be so mixed up that they would kill innocent fathers and mothers and children. Remove these and bind them so that no father will loose his life today. Do protect the fathers in the military as well as the mothers. May they all be able to live peacefully with their families soon again. Thank you for what You will do in these situations. I Jesus name I pray. Amen

Dear Father You who are Father of us all. We come to You asking You to protect the fathers in Iraq and the soldiers who are fathers. Lord I know that the citizens of Iraq must hate this war as much as we would hate war here in our country. I know that much of what goes on in Iraq is done by the leaders. I ask for wisdom for those fathers so that what is decided will benefit the families and not just those in higher positions. I know that You love all of Your people and want what is best for them. Please watch over all of these who head their households. Keep them safe and may they be shining examples to their children. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

Father, as I pray to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus, I ask that You would show Yourself strong on behalf of the dads in Baghdad, Haifa, and all over Iraq. And let them know that You, Jehovah God, Elohim, the Ancient of Days, the Creator of all life are the One True Living God Who protects them and provides for them. Cause them to know You through Your Son, our Savior and the Savior of the world. We exalt the name and the person of Jesus over all the earth and over every situation and circumstance. We exalt the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of God. Be glorified today as You move throughout the earth seeking to show Yourself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are perfect toward You. Amen.

Father, today another suicide bomber kills over 60 people in Iraq. I pray for their peace and ask that you help them to remain strong and not give up the fight for freedom. Help their wounds to heal physically and mentally. Keep the wicked out and allow them to know how great thou art. Only through you, Father, can they receive peace and life everlasting. All this I ask in HIS name, amen.

Father, Our protector and provider. We love you GOD for loving us. We come speaking for earthly fathers as heads of families that you would protect them from being tripped up by the enemy. Give them ways of escape from evil snares. Let your wings cover them as the move about that nothing will hinder them from providing for their families.

We pray for our military presence there defending the innocent and the police also. God give them mighty power with great and full protection that they can bring down the evil and your peace would be over this land and people.

Father, protect all of the dads who are not evil. Give them everything they need to keep them from all harm and to provide for their families.

Thank you GOD for all that you have done for us. We love you. Bless the Lord, our GOD who lives forever. Our mighty and loving Father who cares for his children. We sing praises to you GOD. Thank you for you love and faithfulness to us. TODAY may I reflect back your love in me to others. Be magnified in our lives I pray. AMEN

Help us Lord to not grow weary in our praying but to keep on keeping on for all who are involved with the peace effort. Thank You Father for hearing and answering our many prayers. Jean Says:

Dear Father in Heaven, I am encouraged by M Tebault’s prayer. Scripture does tell us, and history agrees, that strong believers have come from the region we now know as Iraq. Today I understand that some of the descendants of these Assyrian believers have been beseiged and targeted by those who desire to create a pure Islamic state. But You have said and You have promised that Your Church will endure. Please help the remaining Assyrian believers to have faith and confidence in You, and to serve you, even if times are difficult in Iraq. I also understand that You have also done new things in Iraq during and since the recent war, and that there are strong fellowships of new believers. Please help these to become established in the faith, and may they have the wisdom to do whatever comes to their hand to accomplish Your purposes in Iraq, and all of the middle east. I do pray for the fathers. Please bless the families with God-fearing fathers who will truly love their wives and nurture their children. I pray earnestly for the safety of these fathers, and please give them tremendous wisdom to know exactly what to do whenever the situation is difficult for their families or their neighbours. Thank You for the sacrifice of the troops who are fathers, and their families. I pray that every effort done with good intentions will accomplish much good. Please bless and comfort the families who were willing to send their fathers overseas and meet their needs in good and helpful ways. In Jesus’ Lovely and Holy Name. Amen.

    M Tebault Says:

Father, bring your will to pass in Iraq – fulfill your purposes for the Iraqi people. Thank you for your promise in Isaiah 19:23-25 —
“In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria [Iraq]. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying,’Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.'”

  22. 598
    Sabrina Says:

Heavenly Father, I am praying for the protection of all fathers, soon-to-be fathers; and those who desire to be fathers one day, who love and desire to walk in peace. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen

  23. 597
    Betsy P. Says:

Father, You have told us through Your Son, Jesus, that You will do for us in heaven what we agree together about in prayer here on earth. We agree today with Wayne’s prayer.
I ask, specifically for the fathers of the believers in Baghdad and all of Iraq. They are being targeted by radical Islamists who desire to “cleanse” the nation of Christians. In early July, one of our brethren was killed by a bomb that was planted under his car. Behnam Sabti left behind a wife and 3 children. Have mercy upon them, I pray. Comfort them in their sorrow and give them hope. Shelter under Your wings all of the fathers and families in Iraq who are believers.
You have said, “Vengeance is Mine, saith the Lord! Iwill repay!” In Your wrath, Father, remember mercy as we ask also for the souls of the persecutors. Introduce Yourself to them, we pray in Jesus name, amen.

  24. 596
    Janice Says:

    Heavenly Father,

Please bless all the fathers in Baghdad and all of Iraq. Meet them with provision and love. Forgive them of their trespasses and help them to forgive others of their trespasses toward them. I pray any spirit of revenge in their hearts would be dissovlved. I pray the fathers will all know love and respect from their wives and children. May none be homeless. May bitter hearts be sweetened by the love of Christ. You are the greatest Father God! We look to You for these blessings to flow swiftly and surely upon the fathers in Iraq today. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  25. 595
    Lily Bright Says:

    Dear Lord
I thank You for watching over our military men and women. I ask today, that You place watchmen at the doors of all fathers, not only in Iraq, but, here in the United States as well, in Jesus name, I pray,
    Amen and Amen
